How did they know which babies to smother? How did anyone know who was capable of birthing babies in the first place???
They magically always knew whose's genital to mutilate
They’ve always known who to rape. Who to forcibly impregnate. Which fetuses to abort en-masse. Who to burn at the stake. Who to put into menstrual huts. Where to check to see if the hymen is still intact, just to make sure they’re still “pure.” They’ve always known who gets to be written as gods and heroes saviors and providers, and who is written to serve them, deemed sinful, subservient, the downfall of humanity. Who to force to cover themselves. Who to keep from education. Men of every race and religion, across all time periods, have always known who to oppress. Saying otherwise is denying the suffering of centuries of women.
if u only learn one thing from my washed up blog, learn this. one of the many things both the left and right can agree on is that women’s social, physical and sexual boundaries are to be held in contempt. unfettered sexual access to women is the nucleus of male supremacy.
women who say no to sex with any kind of male for any reason or no reason commit an injustice. to the right, our injustice is against civilization itself, because our failure to comply means they will find it harder to propagate the next generation of slaves and slave masters at our expense. to the left, our injustice is against the oppressed, the marginalized males who want to reap this particular spoil of patriarchy but cannot due to their diminished value in the patriarchal pecking order.
the right will be honest. they will tell you that their solution is to simply erode and eliminate your ability to enforce your boundaries. that your ability to say no is a glitch in the system that has been left unpatched for far too long. the left will lie. they too agree with the right’s solution, and they too agree that your boundaries are an inconvenient glitch in the system. but the left will use progressive language to obfuscate this belief. to the left, the erosion of your boundaries is necessary for the marginalized males of this world to achieve some semblance of their denied birthright.
come to think of it, both the left and right believe your ability to say no can be an act of oppression; some of the most high status, western white men, are losing their minds over birth rates, saying women are oppressing the human race itself by saying no. they both believe that your ability to say no is an ethical and moral failing. to the left, to say yes is justice, to say no is bigotry. to the right, to say yes is justice, to say no is catastrophe—on par with human extinction.
all males are politically incentivized to view your ability to say no as an injustice, and they are socially and culturally compelled to correct and overcome this injustice. they correct or overcome this injustice with rape. the more sophisticated male supremacists will push for a psychological strengthening of patriarchy. a world where you’ll never say no at all, because you are a good comrade, or a good wife, and there will be no rape to speak of and no boundaries to think of because you will always say yes. that is true liberation for both the marginalized males, and for the higher status males who have marginalized them. you were never really supposed to say no in the first place. it’s inconvenient. they want to claw back this power.
don’t let them. keep committing the injustice. it is important that this injustice is ours to commit. embrace the failure of ethics, embrace the criminality, and smile when they attempt to wear down your ability to uphold your fortress. don’t allow anyone to take your spine. if sex is a need, then let them die, and tiktok dance on the gotdamn corpse.
I cannot stress enough that women can't save men from themselves. Women can't be there in the boys' locker rooms, they can't shield them from other drunk men at football matches. Women can't control the media their coworkers consume, they can't stop their brothers from watching violent pornography. It's not even a matter of saving or prioritising ourselves over men, though we are well within our rights to do so. We physically can't be there. I solemnly swear that every man I come across, I aim to make them just uncomfortable enough so as to offer them a small way out of their terrible view of the world. I just can't pull them out.
The willingness to deconstruct patriarchal structures needs to come from men themselves. My feminism cannot 'include' men anymore than my anti-racism can 'include' white people, or my economics 'include' the bourgeoisie. Just because I need their co-operation and affirm them to be my equal fellow human does not require me to make their self-interest my priority. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
These mantras saying men will not lose anything by treating women as their equal, or the notion that the patriarchy is just as oppressive to men as it is to women are sweet attempts to lure men out of the hell of their own creation, but I need feminists not to forget that it isn't true. Men benefit from patriarchy. Ultimately, men need to treat women as their equals not because it is beneficial to them but because it is inhumane to do otherwise.
i think if you are not a detrans woman and you go around mocking random ftm's bodies and referring to them in disgusting dehumanizing ways every detrans woman and radleaning ftm and naturally virilized woman should get to steal something out of your house.
"but theyre behaving badly!" funny, i wouldnt have known, given what you chose to focus on was not a behavioural criticism. what could have been motivating your desire to prioritize telling the world how hideous you find these specific female bodies, as opposed to anything else you could have said? does it start with an M and end in Y?
'Stag meeting a Unicorn'. Historical artwork from 'The Book of Lambspring', (1749) edition, showing a meeting between a stag and a unicorn in a forest clearing. In alchemical tradition, the stag sumbolises the Sun and the Unicorn represents the Moon - a union of opposites, harmony of energies.
I can’t believe a tv show about a 19th century lesbian is giving me everything I’ve ever wanted! I AM CRYING!
i don’t know how anyone can watch as all the girls and full-grown women around them claim nb identities, can read all these comments and the thousands like them on the thousands of tiktok videos exactly like this, and not realize that the answer is that womanhood is in fact... not an identity. it was never something you need to “feel like” in order to be.
some of my favorite (aka the most depressing) comments are “you know it [feeling like a woman] when you feel it. you are comfortable with your assigned gender and sex. you like everything about your gender and sex.” and “for me i think it’s because womanhood is portrayed as docile fragility and i don’t vibe with that” and “yes. it’s like i don’t think about my gender until someone makes expectations of me based upon it.”
These people all need an actual feminist class analysis lesson. Desperately.
girl do you think women enjoy misogyny? 😐
The "you like everything about your gender and sex" thing is why "cis" is not an accurate description of me. I'm a woman bc I'm female, not bc I vibe with femininity like that

men being killed is a mercy that women are not given. women and girls are only kept alive because they are seen as property - killing men is seen as killing their ‘owners’.
why is so much of adulthood just cleaning. don't get me wrong i enjoy cleaning things but it just needs to be done SO OFTEN. and it's literally everything. you even have to clean the stuff you clean with. wtf.
Something (some) trans women don’t seem to understand is that when you’re female it affects your entire life. You can never escape it or forget it, because the world won’t let you. We live in a male-as-default society, a paradigm that stretches across the entire globe and has been upheld for all of recorded human history.
Trans men and cis women have a lot in common with each other that neither have in common with you. That isn’t your fault, obviously, but when you act like solidarity between trans men and cis women is collusion against you and your very identity as a woman, it makes it seem like you view womanhood as a fun girl’s club you aren’t being included in. At best, anyway. At worst, it looks like you actively oppose female solidarity, which… is only just barely distinct from actively opposing feminism.
Trans men shouldn’t have to hold your hand when they talk about the oppression they face for being female. They shouldn’t have to think about your feelings when they complain about periods or pregnancy or menopause. They shouldn’t have to worry they’re ostracizing you when they talk about their own childhoods as female children.
Grow a fucking spine! It’s not about you! It’s their lives, their bodies, and their experiences; they have just as much of a right to talk about it, freely, as anyone. If YOU feel envious, or angry, or uncomfortable about it, that’s a YOU problem. I have sympathy for you, I do, but you have to stop making it trans men’s problem. It’s not their fault you feel this way. It has nothing to do with them.
OP has some more excellent words in the notes:
(in a reply to someone arguing that "Trans women are targeted and affected by "female oppression" all the time.")
I guess I wasn't aware that the taliban had also made it illegal for trans women to speak to each other, or go out in public without being covered from head to toe. I guess I didn't know that trans women are also more likely to die in car crashes even though they are significantly less likely to cause them. I guess I forgot that 12 states in the US have also banned abortion for trans women. And I must've forgotten, too, that the leading cause of death in pregnant trans women is homicide. I had no idea that 1 in 5 trans women were child brides, or that 5% of trans women are victims of female genital mutilation. Go figure. You are conflating transgender oppression with female oppression. Trans women are oppressed, but it's not for being female. That just isn't true, though. All intersex variations are classified as either male or female. Absolutely all of them. To say that, for example, ambiguous genitalia makes someone "less male" or "less female" than other individuals of their sex is intersexist. That is neither here nor there, though. Intersexism is absolutely an important topic of discussion, but it isn't what this post is about.
Sex-based oppression is real.
It’s occuring to me as I read Lisa’s book and process re-entry with so many more women than last year that when we are in the Festival environment we begin to cohere towards some kind of universal truth. When you bring all these women together into this liberated environment, when you put women in conditions of freedom, we simply start to gravitate towards the right ways to live. We start to act out of value towards each other; we realize how our attempts to control each other come from fear, and how futile they are. We become a context in which we can abandon those patriarchal, power-hungry ways and move differently. And we do move differently. We expand, we value that expansiveness, we work to find ways we can all expand together. We start to resolve things. We create new social processes. We create new moral frameworks. We begin to truly function as a community.
And then we return to Area 51 and we lose all that. It doesn’t work when you’re the only one doing it. No one else has experienced this- has seen and felt it work, has witnessed it cohere with a life of its own. No one gets it. But we can take festival culture into our own lives. We can turn our focus to the women around us, bring back little traditions, get together with our fest friends even over video calls and remember, and carry on something. Create spaces and moments where it’s normal to be shirtless. Act out of that collective moral framework. Value each other’s expansion. I don’t know; you tell me what we can do to live like that as much as possible, to bring it into mensworld. Let’s share a determination. Let’s create a phenomenon together, just like we do on the Land.
Your 20s are not about getting your life together they're about learning to escape the self imposed torture labyrinth you've built inside your own head
no offence but literally no one gives a fuck if you don’t feel included, sometimes certain spaces need to practice exclusion, this is not oppression and if it makes you feel invalidated then that’s a personal problem you must deal with
things you need to be included in - voting, representation in local and federal legislature.
Things you need access to - public goods and services, education, health services
Thing that you are on your own to find or make - friends, social groups, sexual partners, special interest groups
…and the men ask, “Where is your Shakespeare?”
“She was a Lesbian, and you burned her books.”

we let tumblr losers whose entire sexual lives are nothing but fanfiction and badly drawn erotica of cartoon characters anoint themselves the Super Cool Authorities on Sex and that’s why the gist of “sex positivity” on here is just pro-porn and pro-kink and often nearly entirely detached from any actual tangible sexuality. sex with real people and real bodies and real intimacy. 21st century digital age capitalism in which your real sexuality is replaced with a wholly commodified form built entirely off of exploitation and massive wage theft. porn is not real. these people think pornography is sex and they want to call you anti-sex. lmfao
