Okay so hereās the lowdown. I found 4 sets of medium format negatives while I was thrift shop hunting a few weeks ago. They were sitting in a box of old vintage photographs in these plastic sleeves, and from what I could tell, they had been taken sometime in the 50ās. So obviously I brought them home, and today finally had them scanned in, and holy wow they are beautiful!!
NOW this is where I need the Internetās help. I would absolutely love to find the women in these photographs/the photographer who took them. The only info I have is that the negatives were found in a thrift store on Hull St in Richmond, VA. They are medium format, and judging by the style of dress, made in 1940-1950. The owner of the thrift store had no idea where they came from. Iām posting the best/clearest scans of the images, so if y'all could reblog the shit out of this, Iām hoping we can find the owners of these amazing images.
now you can remember your embarrassing memories of caramelldansen just in time for the holidays
iām absolutely speechless

āWe are more than a bit concerned with the Benihana egg trick called for in the script. Iāve tried it and can only get it 1 out of 4 tries, and Iāve seen Benihana chefs flub the manoeuver when they have an entire grill as target. Mads has to crack his eggs into a 8-inch diameter skillet. The props Master calls his guy. The Production Manager calls in his guy. I call my guy. On the morning of the shoot we have 8 dozen eggs and 3 Japanese chefs with their hands made up to be hand doubles. Ā I guess I donāt have to tell you that when Mads arrives on set, he just tosses an egg up in the air and the egg breaks on the spatula. No problem. Unbelievable. I insist it was a lucky fluke but he does it again. I accuse him of practicing when I wasnāt looking but he laughs (as if he has time to practise egg-cracking between scenes) and tells me he was a juggler in his youth.ā [x] And here we all thought weād have a million outtakes of Mads flubbing the egg trickā¦

1) Why arenāt we still using pun-filled names like this?Ā 2) Can we go back to calling conferences āfestivalsā?Ā
