kisame and obito really is a cute little dynamic. literally the only guy that was in obito's corner 100% for like. a decade. I fully think kisame's knew Obito wasn't LITERALLY madara and was just like 'listen you're obviously AN uchiha I just assumed you were being, like, all metaphorical, like you're taking on his legacy, or like it's a clan thing or something. I didn't wanna pry lol' and obito is trying not to cry. he LITERALLY does not deserve a guy as good as kisame. which is really saying something cause kisame? not a great guy.

obito canonically took off his mask for kisame when he KNOWS there's a giant ass statue of madara's face (which he has sat on and monologued about/at hashirama('s statue) on) that does not look like him. and kisame fucking killed himself to keep that shit hidden. he 100% knew obito wasn't madara
