Dresden Files Fan Cast
Jared Leto as Thomas Raith
First Teaser "Night Light" - a fan film of The Dresden Files (by TheIceSpectre)
You know about the fan film Night Light, yes? I'm so ridiculously excited!!
Actually, I hadnât heard of it before you sent this message. I looked it upâand, hellâs bells, does it look cool!
In case anyone else has been living under a rock like me, NIGHT LIGHT is a fan-made Dresden Files movie. Here's a link to the teaser trailer, since I'm having a hard time sharing it directly in this post.
The story is set between Proven Guilty and White Night. Hereâs the plot description, from the Night Light Facebook page (which you all should totally go âlikeâ and share, so more people can find out about this project):
âWhen some of Chicagoâs minor magical talents become the targets of abuse, the police chalk it up to isolate incidents of self-inflicted harm. But Chicagoâs only professional wizard cannot, even though heâs off the books for this one. No one has hired Harry Dresden to investigate.
Then it starts to look serial, and Harry wonât wait for someone to die in order to declare this a case. Heâs planning a solid pre-emptive strike against whomever or whatever is stalking the cityâs most vulnerable practitioners.â
The movieâs âambitious, optimistic release dateâ is September 2013âwhich would be amazing! But Iâll wait as long as I have to for this. :)
Say that there is going to be a Dresden movie, and you are in charge of casting. Who would you like to see as: Harry, Thomas, Karrin, Michael, Ebenzar, and Susan?
Hereâs my first pick: Adrien Brody as Harry Dresden.
I know it might seem like an odd choice, but hear me out. To me, Adrien Brody has Harryâs look: tall, dark-haired, lean and sort of lanky. While he doesnât look quite like the Harry I imagine when I read the booksâI donât know that any actor looks quite like my mental image of Harryâhe comes close. Also, Adrien Brody is a talented actor who fully embodies whatever characters he plays. He can do it all: action, drama, humor. I really think heâd make a wonderful Harry.
(By the way, I'm going to continue making fan cast posts, so stay tuned in the coming weeks!)

are the images used on this blog of your own creation?
Goodness, no. I'm a terrible artist!
All the images that I post on this blog include links back to the artist (usually DeviantArt). This may not always apply to posts that I reblog from other blogs, which may or may not include the artist's information.
If you see a post on Flickum Bicus that doesn't include artist credit and you know who the artist is, please let me know, and I'd be more than happy to add the credit! :D
Powered through the 14 novels + short story collection of the Dresden Files these past few months. I am so glad I did not have to wait after reaching the cliffhanger ending of Changes, haha.
Some sketches of Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, with a little Bob and Mouse in there too. I tried to draw one where he was sporting his shoulder-length Cold Days hairdo, but it wasnât happening. :P
Havenât seen any of the official art (comics, RPG, etc.) aside from the book covers or browsed any fanart (for fear of spoilers), so this is just how I pictured Harry while reading.
Yes! This is amazing!
I love this! Arctis Tor is one of my favorite locations in the Dresdenverse. (I'm a sucker for snowscapes.) Thanks for the submission, ceastwood7! Great art!

About Flickum Bicus
This blog is dedicated to The Dresden Files, an urban fantasy/mystery series by Jim Butcher. The novels chronicle the adventures of Harry Dresden, the only professional wizard in Chicago. There are currently 14 books in The Dresden Files (the newest book is Cold Days), plus one book of short stories and novelettes, and various short stories published in anthologies.
In addition to the novels, The Dresden Files has been adapted into a graphic novel series, a role playing game, and even for TV (the TV Dresden Files aired on Sci-Fi in 2007).

About the Mod
Ahoy there! My name is Kaye, and I maintain Flickum Bicus. I'm a twenty-year-old college student (studying journalism) with a passion for all forms of geekery--obviously including The Dresden Files. If you have any questions about me or this blog, or if you'd like to submit content, feel free to use the Ask and Submit buttons!
Harry Dresden's shield bracelet, made by Pieceofshine on Deviantart. If you haven't seen Pieceofshine's gallery, do yourself a favor and check it out! It's full of all kinds of pieces that any Dresden Files fan would swoon over, myself included!
I know I've been radio-silent for a long time...
...but now that Cold Days is finally out (and I've finally gotten a copy from the library!), I'm back and ready to rock and roll! I picked up Cold Days last night, and I'm currently on page 152. I'll have my nose buried in this book until I'm finished. Expect more updates in the coming days!
Have you guys read Cold Days yet? What do you think? No spoilers please! :)

My final illustration for the semester~ Our assignment was to choose a villain from a book and illustrate him/her/it in our own view.
My choice was Nicodemus from the Dresden Files, book #5 Death Masks.
Heâs part of a group called the Fallen or the Black Denarius, people who have taken up cooperation with fallen angels. Nicodemusâ demon allows his shadow to move on its own accord and actually become solid matter in some instances. He also is pretty much invulnerable.
