Oof ok so I'm so sorry, I know that 'help my cat has vet bills!' fundraisers on tumblr specifically have a reputation as being scams, but I swear to uhhh The Force itself and upon my love of all things Dragon Age that this is real, or I would never ever post it.

My poor, sickly girl Peyton is very ill. She has a polyp that caused an ear infection that has spread and is causing vestibular issues. She is walking in circles and cannot properly process the existence of her left side, though it does still work.
It isnt good. But! It isnt all bad either! The antibiotics the vet gave us have been helping, and she is steadily, if slowly, recovering day by day! After she is past this round of antibiotics though she will need x-rays and bloodwork and a surgery to remove the polyp, at the very least. And that is all so, so expensive.
(Since she is toothless, a mid-yawn picture makes her look like a smiling cartoon character 🥺❤️)

She's such a sweet creature. She has zero teeth. She stubbornly eats hard food with her siblings, even though i feed her exclusively Fancy Feast Gems on a glass plate twice daily like she is some sort of queen (she is tho). She is only 10, and she is my little sister's favorite cat. Peyton got sick the day before my sister's birthday. It sucked.
All of that to say that if anyone can donate anything, even just a dollar, or a reblog maybe, I would be forever and ever grateful and so would Peyton. But also if you can't, I totally understand, life is REALLY expensive right now, and thank you so so much for even just reading this far. Everyone has been so kind and helpful and I know tumblr isnt really the place for things like this, but again, truly, thank you so much for even just reading this far ❤️.

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?
