what really fucks me up about watching the truman show in 2025 is how it's not fictional. truman is fictional, but the truman show isn't.

there's thousands of truman shows. you find them on youtube, tiktok, instagram... family and mommy vloggers, sad beige moms and now the trend of neglectful moms showing the "reality" of parenting. all of them using their kids for entertainment. each child their own truman; living a life manufactured by their parents, a camera watching their every moment, broadcasted for the entire world to see.

Pride heart buttons are cool, I appreciate seeing a progressive queer / gay / lesbian / bi / pan / asexual / aromantic / transgender / nonbinary / intersex flag when I like a post.

But it would be better if Tumblr stopped deleting black and trans women's accounts and marking any queer content as "mature".

Just saying.

EDIT : I didn't even realise it since the trans and intersex flags have their own animation but the progressive queer flag isn't complete ! It has the brown and black lines for poc but it's missing the trans and intersex colors ! It's just getting worse and worse.

EDIT 2 : They changed it ! They made a two-parts animation : first the rainbow flag, then a mix of the intersex colors + trans colors + brown and black lines (@isuggestrespecttranspeople for spreading the information)

EDIT 3 : I was told only the brown line is for people of color, the black one is for memorial of the dead, I didn't know sorry
