I finished S1 of Supernatural recently (yes I am watching it for the first time in big 2026) and I WANT to write a short little essay about Dean as a character bc he really is one of The Characters of All Time but I somehow keep both 1) having too many things to talk about and completely losing track and 2) failing to talk about anything other than the scene in Provenance where he sits cross-legged on the bed and calmly, empathetically and so softly BEGS Sam to let himself be happy because as upset as he rightly is about Jess, she would also want him to be happy.
