tl;dr i lost my phone and need a new one, cheap commissions open for that

so, i shouldve made this post like a month ago but i didnt realize then how important this was gonna end up being and how much impact it would have on things.

but yes, i lost my phone one day a bit ago, and have had nothing to replace it with - it both impacts the fact i have no alarm to wake up at the hours i should, and it also impacts my ability to communicate with my class to know where there's class and when there isn't, along with any homework that may be sent through the class group chat.

my main teacher is very frail healthwise so she ends up in the hospital quite often, so theres been already two times where she had probably told the class in the group chat that she wouldnt be able to go but since i no longer have access to it i went anyway, wasting two whole hour-long travel bus tickets of money in one day becuase i go, realize there isnt any class, and have to return immediately which is both a waste of time AND money (money being something that is already pretty tight in my family rn, we arent going through the best economic situation)

so yeah, i didnt think not having a phone would impact my study life AND travel to school money as much as it ended up doing, so i am now making this post to remind people i am selling cheap (10 dollars) sketch commissions; hopefully this will help at least get SOME money to buy a new phone

my YNYSRP, as it were. which is a very common word acronym, as you all know.

What does YNYSRP consist of, you ask?

It's nothing more than a tiny bit of a tradition I had on the dark, awful times of.... TWITTER *shudders* but only now have I given it a name.

Basically, what I do is, after 12am of New Years, I wrote a message to myself with my thoughts on the year that is ending, and schedule it to post at exactly 12am of the next New Years.

By the time I read it, I have forgotten what I wrote, and it kinda just brings me a big smile to read what past me was up to, as well as to check on my current progress in whatever goal/s I have made for that year, if any at all!

This will be the first and only one of these to be manually posted instead of scheduled, as I will be just copy-pasting this year's YNYSRP message directly from its awful, horrid past platform, and have all the next ones be scheduled as per personal tradition!!

YNYSRP (2024, January 1, 12:00 — 25 years old)

happy new year, me!! once again!!

this is the first of these that will go on Tumblr first and foremost, which i intend to keep as its primary home. but yeah, my year!!

at the very beginning of this year, i tried to join an art school, and did all the necessary paperwork and medical exams, etc... and found no luck, as there wasnt any open spot, so i spent yet another year with nothing to do other than take care of household chores and family conflicts, etc (not gonna explain those ones deeper. theyre fairly personal).

but i have GOOD NEWS about that!!! at the end of the same year, i managed to get into the school! i will start this exact year, in March!! it WILL be nocturnal classes, which is sure to be..... a different vibe than the typical afternoon classes i normally have. i imagine it being way calmer, as people will probably be too tired to run around and scream like its common in any of the highschools and studies ive gone to up to this point, but its worth it!!

so yeah!! another year of nothing much happening, at all, but with a happy ending that definitely implies a better future to come!!!

so yeah, that was my 2023. i cant wait for you, future Me, to tell me how 2024 went for you!! hope its a happy one, and that you got into the routine of walking the streets and taking the bus at night to go study and back with not much trouble!!

OH, OH!! nearly forgot to mention!! the one thing im the most excited about is finally being in an environment BUILT for artists, or at least art students!! no longer would i be the odd one out in class!! ill get to meet people with my same love for drawing the draws!! i wonder if ill get friends that way!! friends that actually Get It, you know?

anyway yeah!! end of the actual first YNYSRP since the name was coined. also woah, its strange to actually have more than one single tweet to elaborate on my thoughts. its great to be able to actually TALK about this stuff for longer than whatever the Twitter character limit was.
