hello! my name is niko, I am a female who prefers being referred to and presenting in more masculine ways. i generally like the term butch, however i do not have a good grasp on my sexuality so i am somewhat hesitant to use it.

I would appreciate if you would refer to me using he/him, I know a lot of radfems don't believe in choosing pronouns, but for my identity and personal experience, being called a girl and a she has become synonymous with removing a lot of my identity and agency, dictating how I am allowed to present myself, etc. For that reason using he/him is a way for me to reclaim my autonomy, and I will perceive you using it as treating me with basic respect, if you refuse to use he/him please indicate at least that you are not doing it in a derogatory way.

I am not a radfem, I do not align with all radfem beliefs, however I am very thankful for having a community of other females who can talk about misogyny and sexism without having to centre every discussion around transfems.

I generally will not talk extensively about porn, sex work, or anything in that realm as I have no real experience with any of it, and I do not feel it is my place to hold an opinion about it.

This blog is, obviously, centered around FTM rights and FTM separatism. My FTM separatism focuses on creating spaces for FTMs separate from MTFs where we can have a community and be free to discuss the misogyny, sexism and transandrophobia we face. We should be considered as valuable and "real" members of the trans and queer communities, and we should not have to put up with MTFs horrendously abusive behaviour under the guise that they're "punching up". We should be able to freely talk about the issues that we face and how we are treated without being sent rape and death threats by MTFs.

I'm happy to discuss my viewpoints, I am not the most articulate person so I am not the person to have a long eloquent discussion with, but if you approach me with abusive language or bad faith interpretations of my position I will just block you, I am not required to put up with that.

I found out today that there was a (thankfully very ill-fated) attempt to have the entire Wikipedia article on discrimination against transgender men deleted. At first I thought the perpetrator was yet another bargain bin transphobe/TERF act of disruption but apparently not so, she is a trans woman. The user in question had been disputing the use of transandrophobia in the article as being inappropriate, but as other editors pointed out, the way in which it was used was as to be expected (basically saying “hey this term is being used commonly right now in places to describe this phenomena”). When attempts to get the article edited to remove any mention of the term failed, this user instead decided to just nominate the whole article for deletion instead. She even went as far as to say “you will never be a man” to the editors disputing this, though it was quickly deleted. It’s the actions of only a single person, but I find this indicative of how the chronic devaluing and othering of transmasculine people and voices in faux-transfeminist spaces leads to action basically indistinguishable from cis transphobes. Resorting to attempted vandalism of an online resource and blatant transphobia is a symptom of this trend that deserves absolutely no patience at this point.
