She does have a friend, who does not know her name, but he does have realistic expectations for her. While everyone else is cowering before the ancient otherworldly beastie he's sitting over here all supportive because she looks mostly human, she's wearing clothes correctly and there is no evidence that's she's violently disembowled anyone recently. He's proud of her.

He's writing a self help book called "how to handle befriending an ancient god". Chapter one is managing expectations.

She has her own draft of a book titled "the care and keeping of mortals: how not to crush their squishy meatbags or fragile psyches" It's a lot like bird watching.

From where I'm sitting, this is great and I'm stuffing freaky all powerful beasties into every story I ever write because it excuses all the plot holes and fixes power scaling.

Coming at the same problem from wildly different angles, both trying to figure out how to be a person in the world when they're not the person they used to be.

He's sitting over here having an existential crisis about how life changes people and if the person you thought you could define your life by is no longer the person they were and neither are you can you still love them if you've become strangers or do you just love the memories. He's parenting his parent and busy being the only supportive one in his support network and generally having a bad time.

Shes over here having sundered kingdoms and razed civilizations, been worshiped as a God, but now her people are extinct, she's the last of her kind, her home has been desecrated and colonized and the only people who even remember the stories of her legend are the descendants of her enemies and even they are looking pretty pathetic these days. She doesn't have a name because there's no one who remembers her.

hey if I'm publishing on a by-chapter basis, how much of a buffer do I need?

so I'm thinking, weekly updates, with 21 planned chapters makes - uhh ( fuck me that's math) 5 months. my productivity is all over the place but if I can keep a 3 chapter buffer maybe 4, I should be able to keep everything rolling smoothly

these damn chapters just keep getting exponentially longer and it's more than likely I'll end up splitting at least a few of them, but while I can not accurately predict my productivity I do have a realistic idea of how impatient I am and I know I will get fed up with posting once a week

what sounds good for a posting day? wednesday? mid week? Wednesday Addams it is

if im going to this much effort I guess ill have to post about it here too

There is no child porn on AO3. That is a false statement perpetuated by pro censorship groups in order to promote their repressive goals. 

Child pornography is pornographic material (images, videos etc) of actual children. That is why it is illegal to produce, transmit, or possess. Because it involves the sexual abuse, assault and exploitation of ACTUAL REAL CHILDREN. 

AO3 is a US website that abides by US law. US law prohibits any involvement whatsoever with child porngraphy -  possession, creation, transmission etc. If there was child pornography on AO3 not only would the website be taken down but everyone involved would be in prison. This has not happened because there is no child pornography on the site. 

There are some fictional stories on AO3 that include fictional sex scenes between fictional characters who are underage. But that is not child porgraphy and is legal. Just the way Game of Thrones has sex scenes involving underage characters but that’s legal because in real life the actors and actresses are all legal adults. It is legal because no actual children are harmed. 

Actual children are harmed though when pro censorship people pull stunts like trying to report AO3 to the FBI for child pornography. While these complaints did not result in any actions against AO3 because there was no child pornography it means that time that could have been used to investigate real claims about real child pornography that put real children in harms way was wasted. And that hurts children.

But these people don’t care about children. They don’t even care about banning fictional subject matter that depicts underage sex. If they did they would be campaigning equally hard against HBO for airing Game of Thrones and George RR Martin for writing A Song of Ice and Fire both of which include underage sex scene as well as other dark subject material like rape. What they really care about it claiming the moral high ground to justify harassment campaigns and censorship of marginalized communities.
