Scott Morrison is genuinely evil. He’s destroying the lives of refugees, he’s destroying our economy, he’s punishing the poor for just existing, he’s regressing our anti-discrimination laws, he’s pushing us further into a police state and punishing protesters and freedom of political speech, and he’s running headfirst into complete environmental disaster despite calls from scientists, experts, economics, the UN, and a massive chunk of the population, and isn’t just ignoring climate change but increasing our emissions all for some extra coal donations to his political party coffers. People have died and will continue to die due to the policies and ideologies embodied by Scott Morrison’s reckless disregard for empathy and indifference to the plights of anyone who isn’t already wealthy. I cannot fully convey my utter contempt for the evil he embodies and the idea that he’s somehow better than Peter Dutton is merely good marketing and PR. They’re both evil fascist climate killers with no concept of empathy or compassion.

ok, so I was watching this cats eyes “breathe” the entire time, because I know in humans there is these few really interesting things that the eyes can tell you. 

First the light in the area, we most of us know this, second the appreciation of the sight before you, larger pupils = enjoying the sight more, and finally the amount of work being done by the brain that is behind the eyes. Now I am super curious if these are all similar in cats as well as humans and what that means about what we are watching here. especially since that cats pupils get huge just before it jumps.

I also suddenly want to know if there is a coloration between the appreciation of the thing that we are looking at and our brains working harder because we naturally want to pay them more attention.

So the reason that it is called Final Fantasy is actually a kinda cool story, see back in the way back machine there was a company called Square with a designer named Hironobu Sakaguchi, now he had made a couple of games at this point, but none of them had done really well. Starting to be discouraged with his chosen career he started a game as his last attempt to make a splash. It was his Final Fantasy, it was such a success internationally that it would go on to rival the game that is legally not allowed to have a release date on a school day to make sure that the entire population doesn’t skip school all at once.

So yeah, seems like Final Fantasy XV is getting a bit out there, but it has a good reason to be.

Feel like I shouldn't have to say it

Reading a recent news piece about white nationalist, which should be bad enough on it's own merits, I came across this phrase:

"armed members of a conservative militia group drove into Bloomington to support the farm against what they called anti-fascist enemies."

Couple things wrong here, armed militia group, is the first. This is in Indiana mind you, what exactly do you expect to fight in Indiana. I know, I know, constant vigilance, expect we have a military and national guard for that, another pay for another time.

But the party that really gets me, is, if you describe anti-fascists as enemies, that makes you a fascist. If you disagree with their technique that's fine, doesn't mean they are "enemy". If they are enemy, then their core believe, "fascism is bad", adults your core beliefs.

The above is part of an article from Vanity Fair, the time of it is very editorial, but the research looks to be thorough enough. So let's all raise or hands if we are surprised that 45 is using undocumented labor, and that not he, nor his family have likely taken any steps to find out stop this blatant corruption in his own businesses.
