Hi, all! It's time for a prompt event! This November we're bringing you the 2nd consecutive OFMD Fluffvember event, and for the first time I'm posting it here on Tumblr as well so everyone can share the joy of fluff!
GUIDELINES:
You can fill prompts with fic, art, or any other medium! Each day has 2 prompts (1 word/concept, 1 dialogue). You can either choose one or combine both.
This is a laid-back event, so you can do as many or as few days as you like. The prompts are purely to inspire new content. If you only do one day, that's fine! Or if you want to challenge yourself and do a bunch of days, awesome! It's totally up to you.
Any rating is welcome. Most prompts are vague enough to be SFW or NSFW, as long as they're fluffy too! Just make sure to tag/filter your work appropriately so people can avoid certain content they might not want to see.
While this is an OFMD specific event, it is not Ed/Stede-centric. Any pairings are welcome and we tried to reflect that in the prompts. Crossovers with other fandoms are welcome too.
There are no official "rules" to this event. It's simply meant to be a jumping point of inspiration. Feel free to use your creative freedom to twist/adjust the prompts. We can't wait to see your creative interpretations!
Finally, feel free to add your entries to the AO3 Collection: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/OFMD_Fluffvember_2024
You can also tag us on Twitter/X or use the #OFMDFluffvember hashtag. We will try to share as many prompt fills as we can! If we miss any you're welcome to DM us there with the link to your post.Â
CREDITS: This event was originally inspired by the traditional Flufftober event as well as other similar ones like No Angst November. Last year there was no official fluff event organized so we created Fluffvember. We're excited to bring you fresh prompts this year!
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to DM us or reply to any of our posts. We're here to support your creative endeavors!
Hey everyone, I know I don't really use this account that much anymore but in light of recent events I wanted to get more reach on this so people are aware of the extent of PCCP's plagiarism.
Below is my document detailing the extensive plagiarism of my fic "Before You Leap", done by Atticus piratecaptains/ pirate_captain_captains_pirates. This is an 11 page document.
I don't expect everyone to read the full thing, but I put a lot of effort into organizing this in a clear and coherent way to show just how extensive it is. I honestly would've had more to show if he hadn't deactivated his bsky and disabled our dms.
Big thanks to @werewolf-transgenderism or helping me with this. Also shoutout to @inv-2025-pccp for offering to help other people who Atticus has plagiarized. Thank you immensely to those who have said kind things to me since this all happened.
If you were also plagiarized by PCCP, I recommend reaching out to the PCCP Project, as they have volunteers helping to connect his plagiarized fics to their original work.
Warning! This document contains spoilers. Not only are the plots of both fics are detailed in this doc, but there are also spoilers for unpu
i am annoyed that i am being treated like a hapless fool for having opinions that i have had long before atticus ever showed up on the scene, but since a liar said the same thing, i must be wrong and misguided
sorry my opinions on izzy formed way back in april 2022 and haven’t changed much since, other than increasing irritation at people who can’t agree on fundamental facts
i don’t believe the things i say about izzy and the long history of fandom treatment of white characters because someone brown said it and i don’t think for myself. i don’t care who said it. i believe them because i’ve read the work of people smarter than me, constantly reevaluate my stance, constantly test my assumptions and try to push against my own discomfort and — crucially — i was not born yesterday
just because a shitty person said what i said louder doesn’t suddenly mean i’m wrong. atticus is a sloppy liar but he’s not dumb. sometimes shitty people say things that are correct
if you think there’s going to be some come to jesus moment where i renounce my “anti izzy” stance, it’s not happening, sorry. the version of izzy that i like and enjoy is the cruel, shitty guy who had to get his homophobic leg sawn off in order to change. it’s fine if you like a different version, but if that’s the case, we have nothing more to say to each other and should mutually block so we stop making each other miserable
In light of the pccp bullshit, I wanted to write something detailed about con artists, because spotting fraud used to be a big part of my professional life. But my brain hasn't been braining very well, uh...for all of 2025, so I can't put that all together.
So I'll just say something short: from what I'm reading, pccp was engaged in affinity fraud. That's a term you usually hear in relation to Ponzi schemes and such happening within close-knit ethnic, religious, or other social groups, but what is fandom if not a close-knit subculture in its own right? And what all affinity fraud relies on, every time, is the bonds of trust between community members.
In other words, the race-faking and the plagiarism were all of a piece: he used the former to ingratiate himself with the community as someone with special credibility, and the latter to establish himself as a big fandom voice through the sheer volume of his output. Then he was able to use each half of the con as a shield hiding the inauthenticity of the other.
So to everyone who feels stupid because this dickhead fooled them: Don't. The things he took advantage of and relied upon are fandom's finest qualities: community, friendship, and yes, trust. So if you were targeted, well. There are worse things to be noted for.
I also don't think that one bad actor particularly calls for any big changes in how we function - that'd more appropriate if we had five or ten pccps, or if they started organizing.
But if a smaller adjustment is made, I hope it's this: that we trust each other enough to feel safe calling out a future pccp more quickly next time, and that we ensure that safety for each other.
hey i know i barely use this acct anymore but if you were also affected by Atticus PCCP my dms/inbox is always open, he was one of my closest friends here so this is all really fuckin sucks. i'm here to talk to anyone who needs it!
I've been trying very hard not to talk about PCCP publicly, because frankly, I think there's very little new to be said and certainly not by me.
However, I have picked up on a rather gross way that some people have been discussing the situation and I'd like it to stop.
To be clear, I am not talking about POC in this fandom who are rightfully upset by how much harder PCCP's actions are going to make it to simply exist in this space. I'm not talking about his close friends who are wrestling with that utter mindfuck of discovering the person you loved didn't actually exist. I'm also not talking about people who've discovered that similarities between their works and PCCP's weren't just coincidence and were actually plagiarism. All these people have been directly impacted by PCCP's unconscionable behavior and are going to need time to process and should be afforded the space to do so.
What I am talking about are people who were not directly involved in any of this, but seem to be descending upon any new scrap of info, any new revelation, any new insight, with the same kind of morbid glee as a TMZ reporter who got a hot tip about a shocking celebrity death.
(This is getting long, so going to put the rest below a cut.)
I was part of the group that first discovered PCCP's lies. The initial discovery was entirely by chance, but then we dug deeper because, and I cannot emphasize this enough, we wanted to be wrong. We did more digging because we wanted to be wrong. And it felt gross, to be looking this closely at someone's real life identity and match it up to details they shared on tumblr/bsky. We hated it. It felt like a violation. But it was such a huge accusation to make against somebody, so we had to be 100000% certain we were right before we breathed a word to anybody else.
For more than a week we agonized about how to handle the situation in a way that would do the least amount of harm to everybody involved and to the fandom at large. There were a lot of tears and sleepless nights. There was a lot of rage that we were even in this position in the first place. And also there was the eternal mindfuck of watching PCCP continue to post about things that we now knew to be lies, while the rest of the fandom continue supporting him as normal.
My point is... none of this was fun. We didn't take any joy or pleasure in uncovering a popular figure in this fandom was a racist fraud. It wasn't some cute detective game. It was hard and it was awful and it was deeply stressful.
So to see some people talk about this like it's entertainment, or fodder for r/HobbyDrama, talk about digging up screenshots and connecting the dots or continuing to theorize... stop. It's done. We did those things because we were hoping to find proof our initial findings were wrong. They weren't. PCCP was racefaking, and it was a deliberate choice he made to mislead and manipulate the fandom for years. He has been exposed and at least somewhat confessed. We know he was a racist and a liar and a plagiarist, and he did irreparable harm to many people in this fandom. That's it. That's the story, and it's done. There are no more dots to connect. There's nothing left to uncover. And while we always knew bringing this forward would result in smug gloating from people who hate the show/the fandom and were happy to have yet another excuse to bash it, it is upsetting and unsettling to see the almost voyeuristic fun some people who do love the show seem to be having with this.
That said, I do like to focus on positive outcomes, so I'll also say how genuinely lovely it's been to see people supporting each other throughout all this. I've been enjoying the influx of @ofmdlovelyletters on my dash, sharing so much love for others in the fandom. I've been thrilled at all the old gifs and arts and meta posts being shared once more from people who seem to have organically gotten the message of "oh yeah, we're here because we love the show, let's get back to that." Personally, I've been DMing a lot more people just to chat, and it's been really nice turning some fandom acquaintances into fandom friends. And I'm excited about all the efforts of the people working on @inv-2025-pccp to make sure writers who had their works plagiarized receive proper acknowledgement. That's a great, tangible way to turn some poison into positivity, and if you're feeling like "oh I just wish there were something I could do," I'd encourage you to reach out to get involved.
I've said this multiple times in private conversations, but I think it bears repeating here: no matter how much he may have tried, PCCP did not define the OFMD fandom before, and he certainly doesn't get to now. My hope is that as devastating as this event was, we use it as an impetus to move forward and do better, to strengthen relationships and be there for the people who've been hurt the most.
I would like to see more people talk about how jobs treat disabled employees.
I used to prep, wash dishes, and cook at mellow mushroom. I had chronic pain that wasn't NEARLY as bad as it is today, but it was still very debilitating. I told my employer "i cannot stand more than 4 to 6 hours. I CANNOT do shifts longer than this due to my illness." And even though i made my boundaries VERY clear, everyday i worked it was 8 hours at the least and 10 or 12 at the most. I would go up to my manager and say "look i really need to leave, my shift is over, my chronic pain is killing me." And he'd say "we really need to here, you HAVE to push through." And so i did, and after one, ONE month of that job my crps got incredibly worse to the point where i could no longer walk my dog around the block which was .5 miles. I quit, and that was FOUR years ago, and ever since that day I HAVE BEEN BEDRIDDEN AND HAVE TO USE A WHEELCHAIR. It is my biggest regret in life.
My best friend who has seen my whole journey has recently developed undiagnosed chronic pain, and she is in the EXACT same scenario i was 4 years ago. Busting her ass at a pizza place with extreme pain that hurts her so much she tells me "im in so much pain i don't even feel like a person." She doesn't feel LUCID. And her manager and coworkers are saying the same thing "if you don't help us you will let us down, we'll be in the shit."
That job thats hurting you isn't fucking worth it. I promise you no money is worth losing all your physical abilities and never getting them back. Your coworkers and boss do not give a shit about you, so don't you dare suffer for them. They will never understand your struggle and they will never try. They truly think being understaffed is worse than whatever pain you experience. They would rather you permanently damage yourself than inconvenience them. FUCK THEM. DON'T FUCKING DO IT!
ok i’m interested. what non-necessity do you buy whenever you get the chance? like what’s something you love that you always feel you need more of? mine are phone cases and stuffed animals.
Not to be a killjoy (though it is what I do best) but the unsafe and rough handling of a baby Pygmy hippo in a pretty substandard Thai zoo being meme-ed into something funny and cute really shows just how much groupthink plays into public perception of animal welfare.
Moo Deng shows avoidance, threat displays and stress around her keepers that are constantly man-handling her, blasting her with a hose and harassing her. The enclosure is mostly concrete, which is horrible for her soft feet. There looks to be some substrate but there doesn’t seem to be any areas for wallowing or deep water wading.
There’s also very easy access of this hippo to the public with no places to hide. I’d love if someone could shed more light on the enclosures but from what I’ve seen it’s not great.
Also the free contact and forcing into tubs that the keepers do is only going to create an avoidant and potentially aggressive and dangerous Pygmy hippo.
But the public happily overlook that because she’s cute. It’s a similar attitude with seals too.
Stop rewarding bad husbandry with clout. Baby animals deserve agency and respect and to grow up without getting harassed and feeling the need to defend themselves constantly.
Somewhat unrelated but that recent viral video of the pelican being manhandled in a shitty indoor facility is also driving me insane, but I guess it's funny because pelicans are evil or some shit.
This is the shittiest pelican enclosure I've ever seen, compare it to the second image at an actual zoo.
Thank you for adding these images! Gives me an excuse to go research hippo behaviour further for context:
Note that all of these mouth open behaviours are accompanied by either direct contact bite, avoidance related behaviour (turning body away, being chased, grabbed) and eyes are wide with the whites of her eyes visible.
Compared to examples of mouthing interaction with a baby common hippo like Fiona
Note the softer eyes, no wide bulging eyes or whites showing and no avoidance. Fiona was very young here and you’d expect to see “baby aggression” like frustration ect. But this looks more affiliative towards her keepers than aggressive.
Context helps a lot. In all the pictures of Moo Deng she’s being reached out to, touched or sprayed with a hose. That’s generally not the response you want to have to husbandry in a free contact setting.
And here in is Pygmy Hippo natural social behaviour with each other:
Soft eyes, mouths not completely open (which would be more of a threat display), affiliative interaction between a breeding pair.
Jaw sparring with a youngster in common hippos.
In this context, this is a free interaction with no force involved and is species specific between mum and calf.
I think it’s interesting to see the contrast between Moo Deng’s stress/threat behaviour compared to other common hippos and Pygmy hippo behaviour.
