Unironically, Count Binface is restoring faith in democracy: Professional grifter and fascist Nigel Farage called a by-election to distract from his upcoming corruption investigation, only for everybody to step aside due to the farce it was EXCEPT for our saviour Count Binface (who no longer can go by Lord Buckethead due to a copyright dispute), running on a pisstake platform. BECAUSE he is the only other candidate, BBC News and other outlets have to give him the screentime they would normally reserve for the red carpet of Nige, and it's fucking amazing. A cretinous racist who wanted to start this year by showing his party is serious and has widespread appeal as "the party of the people" and that he is "the prime minister we need" is now going to be spending the next three weeks arguing with a bin, who put up 500 quid to run for a giggle, and the best part is that his party of fucking coat-tail riding dead-eyed goons are tearing themselves asunder demanding to know which "leftist agitator" and "establishment shill" is funding Count Binface. Clacton, please. Please elect him
The boys are baaack~🤭 They're still beautiful as the last time I drew them🥹💓
Screencap redraw , love me some Tripitaka with attitude
Suntang Day Black - The Journey Isn’t Over.
While Ink! Peng was cool, would’ve loved Ink! Tripitaka be the one to subdue Wukong instead. We all know the angst with this one.
Wait. Wait. Shadow is from the 50s.
Oh my god. He doesn’t know about Scooby Doo.
Oh baby fight
Its amazing how much they can grow in a few weeks :) Cellphone is still on the left and Terabyte on the right.
Very important to duel your brother every single day.
Why do so many Japanese urban legends seem to involve a dialogue tree that you need to follow very carefully?
It's just the interactive element that seems characteristic. Like I hear a claim that, at some point, "everyone dreams of a village littered with blue corpses, and if they trip and fall then they will die in their sleep and become one of them" and ai just immediately know before I even check that, yes, this urban legend originated in Japan.
"Am I pretty?"
"I don't know, you're wearing a mask."
"How about now?"
"...I'd say you're a definite four--" (*remembers that four is bad luck in East Asia because it sounds like death*) "FIVE! I meant five! Definitely meant five!"
According to Wikipedia, that could actually work according to some versions of the legend
"You're kinda mid, tbh" or "I don't have time for questions" are both valid responses
Maybe chuck some Werther's Originals at her for safe measure
Hemingway stopped writing every day mid-sentence on purpose. So he always knew where he was going when he sat down the next morning. I thought this was torture. i tried it. it is torture. It is also the reason i no longer stare at a blank page for forty minutes wondering what comes next because the sentence is already half there, already pulling you forward, already open. The blank page is the hardest part. He just made sure he never had to face it. I am begrudgingly a convert.
today I found out my mother doesn't know what dandelions are and now I'm wondering what other strange secrets she's been quietly harboring
Where do you live that you don't have dandelions?
we have dandelions EVERYWHERE, they are basically our State Weed, it is absolutely impossible that my mom has never interacted with a dandelion before, this requires further investigation
So after extensive interrogation I have an update:
my mom is in fact aware that dandelions exist. she temporarily forgot the name and there was some miscommunication.
the truth is actually weirder
she's aware dandelions look like this
she is familiar with this flower. she knows the name of this flower. she declines to believe, however, that these are also dandelions
she does not believe these are the same plant. I tried to explain, and she thought I was either misinformed or lying. so I asked her what exactly did she think the yellow ones were called?
she answered, with complete confidence: Daffodils.
gosh I enjoy this website
then wtf is a daffodil......................
Prompt: It worked?!
Danny is in Gotham for college, and during finals month the Joker goes on a spree. After the Joker breaks out of Arkham for the THIRD time Danny in a fit of sleep deprived pique does a bit of research, breaks into Arkham, and swaps prisoner transfers so that the Joker is taken to a prison out of state.
It’s only after finals are over, and he has slept for two days, that he calls Tucker to check on his half brained plan, to find out it worked? Somehow it worked. The Joker is now at a different prison where he has no corrupted guards etc to help him breakout and is now stuck there.
The bats only find this out when their paranoia of “why hasn’t the Joker broken out yet?” kicks in.
I like to think this is one of those things Bruce had been trying to do, legitimately of course, for years. But somewhere between Gotham's corruption, well timed breakouts, and no other prison really wanting to deal with the Joker anyway; every prior attempt to transfer him fell through.
By swapping paperwork, Danny quite accidentally managed to cut through all those problems. The transfer was already happening before anyone knew anything about it. Therefore, it didn't need some corrupt officials to sign off on it; the receiving prison didn't have to be strong armed into taking him; and probably most crucially, Joker had no time to breakout between learning about his transfer and said transfer happening.
I also think it'd be good if Danny didn't even send him somewhere super high security (ie Belle Reve). Those transfer are probably rarer and come with too much fanfare. Instead, Danny sent him to some random prison in, like, Wisconsin* or something. Which, on top of being narratively funnier, actually works out better because it's so far removed from Joker's normal network of goons and corruption. He either has to wait for his normal helpers to get there, or try to build all that influence back from the ground up while being stifled by being under such close watch and having to fight his way to the top of whatever established hierarchy there already is in the new place (again, alone, without his own established network bolstering him).
Either way it's gonna take time. Months and years even. And, once they know about it, time is very useful to the Bats for cleaning house before Joker inevitably ends up back in Gotham. The more of the Joker's network they can root out and clean up, the harder it'll be for him to breakout again later.
Plus, the longer this random prison can hold him, it helps build very strong evidence for Bruce's legitimate attempts to get Joker transferred. No more other institutions arguing they don't have the means to secure someone like the Joker. Security isn't the issue; Exhibit A, this prison did it for years no issue.
*Danny, leaving a voicemail at 3am during his stressed out sleep deprived brilliance: Hey Frootloop! You've got plenty of influence in Wisconsin. Do something to help keep Joker in his new home and I'll go to 3 Packer's games with you every year he's there. Kay thanks, bye! Whoever invented statistics is evil. Evil, evil, bad box of Raisin Bran evil. Where'd my calculator escape to? *Several more seconds of rustling and muttering before Danny actually remembers to hang up.*
Vlad has one of the Ghost Vultures assigned specifically to Joker to keep him in prison so he can make Danny go to more Packers games with him.
The corrupt millionaire using his evil minions for good lol.
Even better, he's transferred under his actual name, not his villain moniker.
It is what causes the Minnesota prison to accept the guy, because they don't realise who he is until he is already there.
Also, if you go the route where "Gotham is full of Curses and the Joker is one of them", sending the Joker's host halfway across the country from the curse's origin might even weaken/break the Curse entirely, possibly without killing the host!
(Curse theory: Every time it looks like the Joker dies but Comes Back Later, that's the Curse moving to an unlucky new meat suit after its previous one bit the dust.)
they grow up so fast (she grew up in 4 years)
Harriet would be a much loved recurring character in the college trio series
Smile!!!! :)
