my headcanon is that the reason Kaladin says "honor is dead, but i'll see what incan do" at the end of WaT is because after Dalinar's Oathbringer was published, the Lopen and other members of bridge four read it and decided to keep saying it to Kaladin, to the point it became a habit to say

they do yes. at the very minimum vin is constantly barefoot as she mentions it frequently. kelsier is at the very least frequently barefoot- he mentions it maybe twice while actively out in the mists. he might wear shoes in other situations though. zane never mentions whether or not he wears shoes and neither does elend. our pov characters also do not comment on unnamed enemy mistborn state of shoewear so tbh the jurys out there.

while it likely is a tin thing that lets them get more sensory feedback from their enviornment, i also would like to point out the very likely chance of stepping on something sharp. maybe the ash is thick enough to make that unlikely tho

i do think however that it would be really funny if its just vin and kelsier that do this. we dont have direct evidence that its not so im gonna choose to believe that even if its more likely that all mistborns go without shoes

Had a sudden Jasnah thought—

So dreams are, typically, uncontrollable nonsense that don’t obey the laws of space/time/physics/continuity/plausibility etcetera. They seem like something Jasnah, a person unhealthily obsessed with control and rationality, would hate to have. Obviously, she is intelligent enough to know that you can’t control your dreams*, and behaving in illogical ways in response to an illogical world is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. But. She still has that niggling fear of being locked up as a child, for whatever reason that was (although some sort of psychosis is highly implied) and is determined to never let it happen again.

* Enter lucid dreams, a phenomenon where you know you’re dreaming and are able to control said dream. I think Jasnah taught herself how to lucid dream, to further exact control over every possible facet of her psyche.

No part of her brain left to wander about as it pleases. No break from corralling her thoughts. No opportunities for her mind to betray her again.

guys, i think that manny from ice age was planning on killing himself at the beginning of the movie (going north) and finding sid and having to go on that whole journey made him no longer suicidal because at the end, he turns to sid and says "let's head south" meaning he has self preservation again.

ever have it change something like “all intents and purposes” to “all intensive purposes” or “should’ve” to “should of”? that’s why!

people make the same spelling and grammar mistakes so often, AI thinks that’s the way you say it because it is a PATTERN DETECTOR and cannot THINK let alone use language.

And then he officiates the weddings at the end? "You may now kiss Mr Darcy - the brides. You may now kiss the brides" and then he watches Elizabeth and Darcy, just incredible. Watch this movie for Matt Smith, if nothing else.

But also, just a fun movie. Overdramatic? Of course. Interesting take on zombies? Check. True to canon? eeeeeehhhhhh even in the beginning it compressed a lot of conversations, and then as any good variation, went off the rails, but the important bits were there. I particularly enjoyed the moment after the proposal where Lizzy loses her temper and is throwing books and things at Darcy, who is just batting them away.

Of COURSE they had Darcy strip to a white shirt and jump in the lake. Wonderful. Yes. the data

I LOVE that Jane saved Bingley, love a strong Jane.

And adored the line "the very first moment I beheld you, my heart was irrevocably gone"
