scenarios that happened in the league of assassins that Jason and Damian won't admit to because they're little shits pt.3
Jason: *whispering* Uncle Dusan looks like he's about to fall over.
Damian: *in a similar hushed tone* Can you blame him? You know how Grandfather loves to drone on during meetings. It is the one time we are forced to listen to him without interruption.
Jason: *placing a pea on a spoon, preparing to fire it*
Damian: *whispering in a hurried voice* Akhi, what are you doing with your dinner?
Jason: Saving us from another boring meeting *flicks it at Uncle Dusan who flinches and wipes his drool from his lips*
Damian: *coughing to cover his giggle* Impressive aim.
Jason: *readying his spoon again* Mara looks murderous. She hasnât stopped glaring since this shit started.
Damian: It is not like I intended to blind her. She should have dodged it.
Jason: Uh where the fuck was I for this? I don't remember-
Ra al Ghul: *standing at the head of the table* Jason. Is there a question that you yearn to have answered? You appear to be quite distracted when you should be paying attention given your position as Head Guard.
Jason: Sure do. So when you say Head Guard, that means like total control right? How many vacation days does that allocate-
Damian: Jesus Christ.
Jason: *continuing* Itâs a valid question, Dami. Corporate America has ruined the world. We gotta get better benefits. Whatâs our dental like because this tooth has been decaying like a wet tictac-Wait can the Pit fix my tooth?
Ra al Ghul: *twitching* How insightful. YesâŚI shall inform you as soon as I confirm with my members. Anything else?
Jason: *saluting* No, my Liege. Only that these peas are divine. My compliments to your chef. Continue, youâre doing great.
Ra al Ghul: *tiredly* Of course....As I was saying....
Damian: *lowering his voice* My liege? Where did you pull that from?
Jason: My ass. Ever heard of Attack on Titan? *launching another pea at Dusan but the spoon slips from his hand and flies across the table* Oh shit.
Dusan al Ghul: * awakening and screaming, flailing his arms* Guards! We are under attack! Secure my child immediately!
Damian: *covering his face* Oh for fucks sake, Jason. Why would you-
*several guards rush in with weapons, the members at the table scatter and scream.*
Talia al Ghul: *the sound of a blade twishing* Damian? Jason? Where are you? Guards- I command you to find my sons! Protect the heirs!
*Jason and Damian hiding under the table*
Jason: Well-You canât blame this entirely on me. Your family is known for overreacting.
Damian: *hissing* Yes, I can AND I will. I will not be punished for your stupidity. I shall knock out your tooth myself.
Jason: Iâm good. Brucie paid a pretty penny to fix my teeth.
Damian: Go to hell, Jason.
*Both boys jump as Dusan hits the floor, making eye contact with them.*
ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Ra al Ghul: Both of you are remanded to your quarters until further notice. No sneaking off to the gardens. No access to the animal sanctuary. Have you anything to say regarding your behavior, such as an apology, before you are escorted to your rooms?
Jason: *raises hand*
Ra al Ghul: Yes, Jason?
Jason: *points at Dusan al Ghul* This is his fault. He has a trauma response so severe that heâd put veterans to shame.
Damian: *giggling* He is also the one that tried tackling you, Grandfather, to ensure your safety.
Ra al Ghul: Guards. Take them to their quarters immediately. Now.
Jason: HEY. Watch where you point the sword!

Sorry if it took a minute but here it is now, turns out I've come down with a cold guys đ.
The villains are utterly confused.
They remember the first robin. They remember how bloodthirsty the little gremlin was, how he appeared out of the darkness with a âHIYA FOLKSâ that gave people near heart attacks with PTSD so bad they flinched everytime they walked into a dark corner. They remember his grin, baring few too many teeth with a glint in his eyes whenever the bat wasnât around to curb him. They remember the death stare, the brooding that made no one doubt this was the Batâs son. They remember how a punch would land a lot harder than it was supposed to, or the screaming that followed. Oh they remembered him alright.
The second one thank the stars was better. The second robin was giggly. He would hop around town, offering his help to everyone who needed it. Sure he was rough with abusers but hell no one cared about them. Matter of fact, the villains were glad because those assholes deserved no sympathy. They remember his puns, his wonder, his innocence and his spark. They remembered his laughter, his concern - the kind that only comes from one whoâs been on the streets. This one was better, and the villains thanked their lucky stars. They remembered him alright.
But now, as the years passed and new characters emerged, the crime city saw the rise of two characters - a sunshine happy nightwing and a ready to kill red hood. And naturally, from their experiences in the past, the villains ended up making an honest mistake that ruined the two vigilantesâ reputation:
The villains assumed the first robin was Red Hood and the other was Nightwing. And BY GOD Gotham has not seen unhinged chaos like this.
SCENE 1
Red Hood *drawing his pistol* : Please, reach for your weapon. Iâm itching for an excuse for my intrusive thoughts to become extrusive.
Two-Face: You dare mock me little bird?! Well.. I may not have my weapon.. but I have something I know youâd like..
Red Hood: Oh yeah?Whatâs that?
Two-Face: TAKE THIS! *slams button and coconuts start falling from the sky, all cracking and spilling as they hit the ground*
Red Hood:
Two-Face:
Red Hood: .. the fuck was that supposed to do?
Two-Face: .. HOW ARE YOU STILL STANDING?! YOU HATE COCONUTS ROBIN!!
Red Hood: The fuck- .. wait did you call me robin?
Two-Face *grins* : Yea.. robin. The first one. Thought I didnât notice?
Red Hood: The first one? Does this *gestures vaguely to himself and his weapons* seem like something the first robin would do?
Two-Face:
Goon 1: I mean.. yeah
Red Hood: What! The first robin was nice!
Goon 2 *guffawing*: I beg your fucking pardon??
Two-Face: .. you took my coin and attached a magnet beneath it so everytime I flipped it it wouldnât stop spinning. Do you know how long that took me to figure out?? Do you know how insane it drove me?? Joker had to help me out of pity. OUT. OF. PITY.
Red Hood:
Goon 1: ..Also you did steal some of our bones
Red Hood: hedidfuckingwhatnow-
SCENE 2
Nightwing: Hey there buddy! You look frostyl!
Dr. Freeze: Aha! You are too late to stop me robin!
Nightwing: .. robin?
Dr. Freeze: why yes! Donât act coy, I know itâs you there. Now that weâve got that clear.. I was wondering if you remembered all those years ago when you gave me a source for electricity to power a hospital keeping my Nora?
Nightwing:
Dr. Freeze: well you werenât careful enough and never told me how much I could take from it.. so I used it to power so many of my inventions that came after
Nightwing *remembering when Jason was robin and every damn time he came to visit Wayne Manor his room would always run out power and the countless cold showers in freezing winters he had to take because of it*: .. oh? Well, sorry to break your bubble, but that wasnât me Elsa.
Dr. Freeze: no? You joke around, make puns and Iâm supposed to believe itâs NOT you?. The first one brooded like there was no tomorrow. He pissed me off so bad once I overheard him saying his favourite ice cream flavour and I made sure it wouldnât be available in Gotham for YEARS. Youâre not as bad as the first one. Iâd remember if you were him.
Nightwing:
Nightwing *firing up his escrima sticks to maximum voltage*: Oh let me jog your memory then :)
Do you know that Frozen short where Elsa gets a cold and every time she sneezes, several little snowmen appear out of control?
So, imagine Megumi waking up one day with a particularly bad cold, and every time he sneezes, five fuzzy rabbits flee from his shadows (the number increasing as his cold gets worse) and don't obey him.
Imagine how everyone at school would react to a herd of white rabbits running amok:
Gojo having fun and catching the rabbits (who insist on attacking him, why not?), Nobara being covered by some because they think her hair looks a carrot, Inumaki having a freak out because the rabbits destroying her garden and Panda running around scared by several kung fu rabbits (Maki definitely wouldn't suffer from this because the rabbits would be very afraid of her).
And of course, Yuji being a magnet for the bunnies who just want to be close to the one they love most and snuggle into his strong, warm arms.
Cut to Yuji taking care of Megumi during her cold surrounded by fluffy white rabbits sleeping peacefully around him.
After I had that idea of the rabbits escaping from Megumi's shadows when he's sick, just like Elsa in that Frozen short, I can only imagine Mahoraga as this guy here.
Come on. The idea of that crazy monster holding the bunnies with all the delicacy in the world is cute.
Like that
See?

Okay after the issues of people critiquing my writing with ai, I finally got the motivation to write again thankfully it was only for a few days. <3 If you guys want to critique my story please just tell me with your own words. The reader has like⌠some oriental magpie traits? Itâs an OC thing like I donât know if thatâs weird but Iâm starting to introduce more of his ghostly nature which includes the oriental magpie traits? (He likes clinky, shiny stuff, and makes sounds?) I would love to receive comments of yallâs opinions about this. Also if you feel slightly left out in the pit this is done on purpose for the developing plot Love yâall<3

ââ part two
A warm gust of wind caressed the nape of your neck, tickling your skin, startling you awake. It wasn't strange to feel the gentle breeze entering the temple due to the lack of enclosed space, but the unusual temperature change in the wind made your hair stand on end.
You opened your eyes, expecting the space next to you to be empty, which surprised you when you saw someone laying on their side and staring at you.
A pair of dark eyes watched your actions with playful grin. The warm breath falling on your neck make you shiver, taking so much of your self-control not to draw back in discomposure.
Your heart was beating so hard you thought San Lang would hear it for sure.
âDid I wake you up?â
You sat up abruptly, your back snapping straight in a nervous attempt to regain composure. "No... It's fine."
Almost instinctively, your hand flew to your veil, fingertips brushing the fabric to ensure it remained in place. The instant you confirmed its security, you tightened it further before hastily pushing yourself to your feet.
Without a word, you gestured toward the empty space you had just vacated, silently offering it to San Lang before stepping out of the temple. He didnât ask where you were going, but the glint in his eyes suggested curiosity.
The next morning, you returned to the temple carrying a basket filled with asian pears and eggplants. As you stepped inside, your eyes landed on San Lang, who was sweeping the front yard.
He didnât seem to notice you. A neat mound of fallen leaves had gathered near the entrance, yet he appeared lost in thought, his gaze fixed on the sun as if pondering how to pluck it from the sky and crush it between his fingers.
You hesitated for a moment before clearing your throat. He didnât respond right away. Instead, he tilted his head slightly, as if debating whether to acknowledge you at all.
Finally, with an easy smile, he turned to face you. âGood morning.â
You simply nodded, adjusting the basket in your arms as you watched him carefully. Had the sun personally wronged him in some way?
Just as you set down the basket, Xie Lian emerged from the small shack, his face lighting up at the sight of the fresh produce.
âThese look wonderful,â he said, stepping closer to examine the contents.
You dusted off your hands and smiled. You had come across a farmer with a surplus of produce. Seeing an opportunity, you offered to help him carry his harvest, and in return, he kindly let you take some of the fresh fruits and vegetables with you.
Xie Lian noticed San Lang leaning against the wall with a broom beside him and quickly greeted him. With a gentle smile, he took the broom from San Langâs hands and began asking him a few questions.
You remained quiet, listening to their conversation as you busied yourself with slicing the fruits for a light snack. Somewhere in their exchange, you caught mention of a portraitâSan Lang had drawn a likeness of the Prince of Xianle.
Impressive, you mused, glancing at the artwork while slicing another pear.
The name stirred old memories, ones buried beneath the weight of time. You had heard of the prince in your earlier years, of his kindness, his unparalleled devotion to his people, and how he was so beloved that he ascended to heaven. But before you slipped into your centuries-long slumber, the last whispers you caught spoke not of his glory, but of his downfall.
The heavens had banished him, though the reasons remained unclear to you. Even now, you couldnât help but wonder; how could a prince once so revered have fallen so far?
As Xie Lian spoke, his attention drifted to San Langâs hair. With a quiet chuckle, he pointed out at his own hair and offered to tie it up.
San Langâs hair wasnât particularly messyânot in your opinion, at least. If anything, your own was in far worse condition, with loose strands sticking out in every direction. You couldnât even recall the last time you had cared for it. No one ever commented on it, so you had long since stopped bothering.
Xie Lian led San Lang to sit beside a bucket of water, carefully combing through his long black hair. You watched the scene unfold while discreetly sneaking bites of pear beneath your veil. Hidden from view, your expression was one of mild confusion.
On one hand, Xie Lian was gently untangling San Langâs hair; on the other, his motions almost resembled weaving a shroud. Either way, his movements appeared somewhat awkward.
San Lang let out a quiet chuckle, his voice tinged with amusement.
âGege, are you going to tie my hair? Or are you thinking of doing something else?â
Xie Lian flustered immediately, hurriedly gathering the strands into a ponytail as though caught in the act. His teasing brought Xie Lian out of his momentary musing. âAlright, alright. It's finished.â
You couldnât help but laugh softly behind your veil. Even with his hair loose and slightly disheveled, San Lang still looked undeniably handsome. There was no denying that San Lang had a certain charm, his mischievous smile alone could probably beckon girls to his side with little effort.
He studied his reflection in the water, his expression unreadable. Then, turning back to Xie Lian, he quirked up a brow. Xie Lian took one look and coughed awkwardly.
The ponytail had been lopsided before, and after Xie Lian re-tied it, it remained just as crooked. San Lang said nothing, merely watching him in silence, but somehow, that made it worse. Xie Lian couldnât remember the last time he had felt this embarrassed.
Your quiet laughter slipped through your lips before you could stop it. But then, as if suddenly reminded of your presence, San Lang turned to you, his gaze settling on you with keen interest, observing you fully.
âWhat about you? You should have your hair done too,â San Lang asked, his tone as smooth as ever.
Your body tensed as you silently cursed yourself for laughing. No one had ever paid much attention to your appearance, let alone offered to fix your hair. It wasnât something you were used to.
After his failed attempts at fixing San Langâs hair, Xie Lian had long since given up on combing yours. Before you could even respond, San Lang casually offered to do it himself.
A prickle of unease ran through you. Letting someone touch your hair wasnât just unfamiliarâit was dangerous. Your veil, secured with a delicate string behind your head, could easily come undone if disturbed. And if it fell, your face would be revealed, leaving all your flaws bare for everyone to see.
You swallowed, nerves twisting in your stomach. But when San Lang began combing your hair, his touch was unexpectedly gentle. He didnât rush, didnât tug or pullâhe took his time, smoothing the strands down with careful precision.
You werenât sure why he was doing this. By all accounts, you were a stranger to him, far less familiar than Xie Lian. And yet, he handled your hair with an ease that made your heart beat just a little faster.
As soon as he finished tying it up, you shot to your feet, reaching for the water bucket. It wasn't as though you could truly see your own face, you couldnât even remember what your face looked like, but you could see the difference in your reflectionâyour hair, sleek and neatly arranged.
âYou did well. Thank you,â you murmured, offering the sliced fruit to both of them in return.
Midnight settles as soon as the sun dips below the horizon, casting long shadows across the temple. The three of you unwind after a long day of work, the quiet hum of evening settling over the worn wooden floors and flickering candlelight.
âNeed a hand with anything? I don't mind helping out.â San Lang moves to help Xie Lian prepare dinner.
Xie Lian paused, looking over at him with a bemused smile. âDoes San Lang knows how to prep ingredients?â
âI can do that.â With a fluid motion, San Lang moved to the table, effortlessly arranging the vegetables as though he'd done it a thousand times before. His hands were quick and precise, each cut deliberate.
Xie Lian couldn't help but watch, amazed by how San Lang made even the most mundane tasks seem fascinating.
âYou've got quite the talent for cooking.â
San Lang smiled. He moved to the pot, stirring the simmering soup.
âIt's not much different from anything else. GÄgÄ do it way better.â
You hadnât pegged San Lang as the culinary type, but heâs full of surprises. While you have nothing against Xie Lianâs cooking, knowing that San Lang is there to lend a hand puts you at ease.
Meanwhile, you sit off to the side, fingers deftly weaving a mat from the leftover straw the villagers had generously given you. Some were even kind enough to offer extra provisions such as potatoes, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots. Their generosity is something youâve never quite grown accustomed to.
As they set up the table, you find yourself lost in thought. How much longer will you stay here with Xie Lian?
Ever since he saved you, you've remained by his side, helping him clean and maintain the temple. But if youâre honest with yourself, it was never just about repaying his kindness. He always brushed off your gratitude, insisting that he expected nothing in return.
It was easier to stay by his side now that he had been alone for so long. That realization was enough to keep you here, lingering by him, if only to offer the comfort of company. But now, he has San Lang. And for the first time, you wonderâwhat is your purpose here?
Before you know it, something shifts within you, an odd feeling coiling tight in your chest. Your hand lifts to your hair, fingers brushing absently through the strands as you sit in contemplation.
A voice suddenly cuts through your reverie. âShall we eat together?â
Xie Lianâs voice pulls you back to the present, warm and inviting. You blink, adjusting to the reality in front of you. Across the room, San Lang watches you, his dark eyes unreadable.
Has he ever looked away from you?
His gaze is sharp, assessing like a jury weighing its verdict. Indifferent, suspicious. You donât even know what youâve done to earn such scrutiny. However, beneath the surface, thereâs something about him that feels strangely familiar, as if it's just beyond your grasp.
But as soon as Xie Lian comes in, San Langâs attention shifts entirely to him. The intensity of his gaze softens, his entire focus settling onto Xie Lian as though no one else in the world exists. The weight pressing on your chest eases, but another sensation rises in its place.
There it is again.
That piercing feeling.
You choose not to dwell on it, turning your attention to your meal and shutting out everything else.

ââ part one
Had you not slipped and nearly fallen to your death while picking fruit by the stream that day, you might never have crossed paths with the misfortune god, Xie Lian.
From that moment on, you followed him faithfully, never once straying from his side.
He is remarkably humble, perhaps the most humble person you will ever meet. The thought that he might be a god never occurred to you, not until his sudden determination to build a temple in honor of a long-forgotten prince. Or perhaps it was the black ink etched deep into his skin, circling his neck like a collar, revealing itself in a glimpse of a moment.
And though you had only known him for a short time, there was an undeniable sense of familiarity between you.
When you first laid eyes on the temple, âdilapidatedâ wasnât quite the word you were looking for. Still, with patience and effort, the two of you transformed it into a place that could, at the very least, be called home.
He is as kind and gentle as everâyour great savior. Having lived with him for so long, youâd like to think you know him well enough to predict his thoughts and actions. Apparently, you don't.
It all started when you were at Puqi Temple, cleaning up and preparing dinner, when Xie Lian suddenly walked in with an unfamiliar man. Your heart nearly leaped out of your chest. The cutlery in your hand slipped through your fingers, clattering loudly against the floor.
For a brief moment, your mind stuttered, struggling to process what you were seeing. Your vision felt too bright, your body frozen in place while your thoughts scrambled to catch up. Xie Lian let out a small, guilty sigh. He couldn't see your face, but the way you had gone stiff as a statue told him everything he needed to know.
You reluctantly invited the man, who introduced himself as San Lang, to join you both for dinner. A flicker of doubt surfaced in your heart, but you pushed it asideâafter all, it didnât seem fair to be suspicious of someone who had done nothing to harm you.
Relief washed over you when San Lang showed no intention of staying the night. With only a single straw mat, a long altar table, two small stools, and a house without a door, there was hardly enough space for the two of you, let alone a guest. You werenât particularly proud of that last detail, though.
Yet, in the days that followed, San Lang began lingering at the temple longer until, before you knew it, he was staying the night as well. It was as if he had quietly claimed the place as his second home.
âThank you for making dinner, my friend. I apologize for not telling you about the situation sooner,â Xie Lian said, offering a sheepish smile.
You waved off his apology with a simple gesture, signaling that it was fine.
Approaching the long altar, you set down a single bowl of stir-fried bok choy with tofu puffs. A twinge of embarrassment crept into your mind; of all nights to have a guest, it had to be when the meal was this simple.
Compared to Xie Lian, whose terrible luck followed him no matter where he went or what he did, you had a bit more fortune on your side. That morning, after helping a Puqi villager build a new chicken coop, you were given some eggs as a reward. Thanks to that, you had at least been able to prepare a dish of egg soupâone small effort to preserve what little dignity the two of you had left.
As you ate your portion, Xie Lian and the young man, San Lang, conversed freely, paying little mind to your presence. That, however, did nothing to stop the sensation of a burning gaze drilling a hole into you. More specifically, into the cloth that concealed your face.
You winced slightly at the unsettling atmosphere, lowering your head as you chewed the last of your food. You werenât used to being the focus of someoneâs attention, it always felt unnerving, even when it happened by chance. After finishing your meal, you quietly excused yourself, cleaning your bowl before retreating to bed.
âIf the young one wishes, he can sleep here,â you said, your voice smooth and beautiful, like a delicate symphonyâclear and deliberate, leaving no room for misunderstanding.
To say that Xie Lian was caught off guard by your words would be an understatement.
You barely spoke; so rarely, in fact, that Xie Lian could count the number of times on his fingers and still have a few left over.
At first, he had even wondered if you were incapable of speech. It wasnât until one day, when he unknowingly served you the same dish for the third week in a row and you quietly declined, that he realized there was more to your silence than he had assumed.
On the other hand, you knew that sharing a single mat between three people would be cramped and incommodious. Resolving to weave another one first thing in the morning, you told yourself you just had to hang in there for tonight.
You had no way of knowing if your uninvited guest would stay another night, but it never hurt to be prepared.
Most people would struggle to keep their composure when a stranger suddenly appeared in their home. Instinct often urged caution, a heightened awareness at the first sign of potential danger.
You were no exception.
Choosing subtlety over confrontation, you pretended to be asleep, quietly eavesdropping on their conversation while keeping a close eye on San Lang. If he showed even the slightest hint of malice toward Xie Lian, you wouldnât hesitate to act.
You stared at him in quiet wonder. It was almost unbelievable how effortlessly he became acquainted with Xie Lian. San Lang was so well-spoken that every time he quipped a joke, Xie Lianâs face would light up with a smile.
You couldnât say for certain whether you had ever met him before, however the way he radiated warmth and admiration toward Xie Lian made it seem as if he had known him forever.
Then, like an arrow laced with poison, an uneasy feeling struck you.
Is this what you call jealousy? But why would you be jealous of San Lang?
Xie Lian was a friend, a companion. He had saved your life, and for that, you should only feel gratitude.
You quickly swallowed the unseemly feeling rising in your throat, pushing it down before it could take root.
Trying to distract yourself, you focused on anything but the unease stirring inside you. Little by little, your thoughts blurred, and before you knew it, you had drifted off to sleep.
âGÄgÄ, aren't you missing something in this temple?â San Lang asked curiously, glancing around.
Xie Lian had just finished sweeping and was kneeling on the cushion when he heard the question. Dusting off the altar table, he replied, âThe only thing I can think of that's missing is the worshippers. Is there anything else?â
San Lang bent down beside him, resting his chin on one hand. A playful glint flickered in his eyes as he mused, âShouldn't every temple have a divine statue of its god?â
A temple without an idol is hardly a temple.
One could argue that the god himself was present, but he couldnât very well sit on the altar all day, every day. Xie Lian pondered for a moment before offering a solution. âI bought some paper and ink today. I'll paint a portrait tomorrow.â
A ray of excitement shone on San Lang's face. âA portrait? I know how to paint one. Want me to help?â
Xie Lian was briefly taken aback, nearly chuckling at the unexpected offer. âThank you, but I'm afraid you don't know how to paint the Prince of Xianle.â
The image of the Prince of Xianle had long been erased from history; his portraits burned, his likeness reduced to nothing more than whispers in time. Eight hundred years had passed, and few, if any, had seen what remained.
Yet, without hesitation, San Lang replied, âOf course I do. Didn't we talk about him earlier in the cart?â
Xie Lian blinked, caught off guard. He recalled their conversationâhe had said, "You've probably never heard of him before." But at the time, San Lang had remained silent. Now, hearing him speak so assuredly, Xie Lian couldnât help but be startled.
âSan Lang, don't tell me you actually know of him?â
âAs a matter of fact, I do,â San Lang said smoothly, a knowing smile playing on his lips.
âLike you said, I know a lot.â
âLet me tell you another thing, I've heard an old tale from Xiangzhu,â San Lang whispered, his voice laced with amusement, that ever-present cheeky grin tugging at his lips.
Xie Lian found San Langâs way of speaking quite fascinating. He was always smiling, always laughingâbut whether that smile was genuine or laced with mockery, one could never truly tell. Was he merely entertained, or was he subtly teasing, testing how gullible his audience might be?
Having listened to him chatter the entire way home, Xie Lian had to admit, he was rather curious about the story San Lang was about to share.
âThousands of years ago, there was a beast abhorred by the three realms,â San Lang began, his voice taking on a lilting, almost teasing cadence.
âIt was born an eyesore with one horn and a fearsome face. It was said to lived a secluded life at the bottom of a lake on Mount JinyuÄn.â
Xie Lian listened in quiet contemplation as San Lang continued. âOne day, it took in an injured mortal and nursed him back to health. In gratitude, the man brought the beast to his village, intending to return the kindness.â
âBut when the villagers saw the ugly creature, they were horrified, and they drove it away.â
Xie Lian's brows knitted together at the conclusion of the tale. He couldn't decide what unsettled him moreâthe beast's cruel fate or the mortalâs well-intentioned but disastrous mistake. Was it the creature he pitied, cast aside despite its kindness? Or the man, whose sincerity had only brought about more suffering?
San Lang continued, âIt was told that its scales can be used to create a cure, but its blood curses a person with an incurable disease.â
âNo one should have to suffer such a fate simply for having an unsightly appearance,â Xie Lian murmured.
San Lang tilted his head, a glint of interest in his eyes. âDo you feel sorry for the beast, GÄgÄ?â
Xie Lian turned to him, contemplating the question. San Langâs tone held no aversion toward the creature, nor did he speak with sympathy. He was merely askingâcalm, inquisitive, as if gauging Xie Lianâs thoughts rather than forming his own opinion.
âMistreatment is a terrible thing for anyone, whether man or beast. You should treat everyone with kindness, expecting nothing in return. A good heart finds happiness in that alone,â Xie Lian answered.
As he spoke, he absently patted the bedding, only then realizing that the straw mat was far too small to comfortably fit three people. He didnât have the heart to wake you just to adjust the sleeping space. You, on the other hand, seemed to have already settled in the middle, leaving San Lang with his back against the wall.
âAre you doing alright, San Lang? I'm sorry, it's a bit cramped,â Xie Lian murmured apologetically.
San Lang lay on his side, his gaze fixed on the sleeping figure beside him.
"I'm fine, Gege," he murmured, his voice light and unbothered.
A faint smile flickered across his lips, hidden in the shadows behind your unconscious form. Even in sleep, you had unknowingly positioned yourself as a barrier between the two of themâa quiet, unintentional wall of separation.
What a troublesome person you are. The thought drifted through San Lang's mind, quiet and amused, as he observed you in the dim light.

ââ part three
BOOM!!!
A sudden, crackling burst of energy erupted from the young man's outstretched hand, splitting the air with a sharp whoosh. The force of it surged toward San Lang, but at the last second, it veered off courseâwhether due to a miscalculation or sheer luck, it was impossible to tell.
Instead, the blast struck the corner of the altar table with a violent crack. The aged wood groaned under the impact before one of its legs gave way entirely, snapping into splinters. The entire structure tilted precariously before crashing down in a thunderous collapse.
Plates and bowls, once neatly arranged with warm food, slid off the surface, shattering as they struck the ground. The scent of freshly cooked dishes mixed with the sharp tang of broken porcelain, the chaotic mess now smeared across the floor in an unceremonious heap.
For a brief moment, the only sound in the room was the last few pieces of ceramic settling into place. Then, silence.
A beat passed. And then another.
A faint twitch pulled at the corner of your lips, your expression wavering between irritation and restraint. The veil obscured most of your face, concealing the way your brows knitted ever so slightly, the way you gritted your teeth.
But even through the thin fabric, something must have given you awayâSan Langâs gaze lingered on you, while Xie Lianâs subtle shift in posture suggested he had caught on as well.
That was all the prompting Xie Lian needed. Without hesitation, he seized both newcomers by the arms and dragged them toward the door. They sputtered in protest, but he didnât give them the chance to argue, ushering them outside with firm insistence.
The door shut behind him with a decisive click, leaving you alone with San Lang and the wreckage of what had once been a peaceful meal.
What a waste, you thought with a sigh.
Kneeling down, you began picking up the broken remains of the plates, careful not to cut yourself on the jagged edges. Bits of food clung stubbornly to the ceramic shards.
San Lang, ever composed, still has an amused smile, his expression somehow making you feel as if he were quietly laughing at you. The thought irked you, but before you could say anything, he moved.
Without a word, he crouched beside you, reaching for the fallen dishes with an ease that contrasted the mess before him. His movements were unhurried, deliberate, as though he had all the time in the world. Instead of merely watching, he helpedâgathering the larger pieces and setting them neatly by the wall.
Once the last of the shattered plates had been placed in the sink and the ruined food discarded, you dusted off your hands with a quiet sigh. The mess was dealt with, but the lingering sense of disruption still clung to the air.
San Lang, who had been watching you with that ever-present grin, suddenly tilted his head slightly. His gaze flickered downward before he lifted a hand casually and gestured toward you.
âYouâve got a little something there,â he remarked, his tone light.
Following his indication, you glanced down at your robeâsure enough, you saw how the fabric near your side was singed, the once-smooth material now rough and darkened with a faint scorch mark.
The edges curled slightly where the heat had licked at the threads, leaving behind a subtle, lingering scent of burned cloth.
You exhaled through your nose. Just one more thing to deal with.
Slipping off your outer robe, you turned it inside out to inspect the damage. The burn mark was sizable, the fabric rough and discolored where the heat had seared through. A simple stitch wouldnât be enough to mend itâyouâd need extra fabric to patch it properly.
Just then, the door swung open again, and Xie Lian stepped back inside. His eyes instinctively landed on youâmore specifically, on the absence of your outer robe. He hesitated for a brief moment, a flicker of surprise crossing his face before he quickly collected himself. Noticing the scorch mark on the fabric in your hands, he immediately understood the reason.
Offering a quick apology for the newcomersâ behavior, he explained that it had all been a misunderstanding.
You werenât particularly interested in their excuses and simply waved it off.
âDon't worry about it.â
San Lang, meanwhile, examined the broken table as if contemplating whether it could be salvaged.
All this commotion had stemmed from the discussion of Banyue Pass.
The mere mention of it made you sigh. While you werenât familiar with the place itself, the name Banyue was certainly one you had heard before.
The two newcomers had apparently arrived to volunteer their assistance as Xie Lianâs companions for the journey. Just as San Lang was about to share what he knew about the region, one of them suddenly interrupted, steering the conversation in an entirely different concern.
âYou live in a place like this?â
The question hung in the air, carrying an undercurrent of disbelief.
Xie Lian, unbothered, grabbed a stool for him to sit and replied, âI always live in places like these.â
The young man who had been drawing the spell paused for a brief moment, as if caught off guard by the answer, before resuming his work in silence.
His companion, who had yet to take a seat, didnât speak either, but his expression shiftedâa fleeting emotion of uncertainty passing across his face.
ââŚWhereâs the bed?â
Xie Lian gestured toward the stray mat tucked against the wall. The young man glanced up, eyes briefly settling on the modest bedding, then lowered his head again, saying nothing.
At first, their words barely registered. You had little interest in what others thought of your living arrangements. But when their tone changedâwhen they started behaving as if the temple was nothing more than a filthy, rundown shackâsomething inside you bristled.
You hadnât spent hours dusting, sweeping, and mopping just to have some strangers dismiss your efforts with careless remarks.
Holding your tongue, you rose to your feet, your steps heavy with irritation as you made your way toward the sewing box you had borrowed from one of the village girls.
Xie Lian let out a small, awkward laugh, hastily redirecting the conversation away from their living conditions before tensions could escalate any further.
San Lang, on the other hand, made no such effortâhis amusement was barely concealed, the corners of his lips curled up as he quietly observed the scene.
What an interesting fellow you are, he mused, a subtle smirk tugging at his lips.
This was terrible.
You wanted to go home.
They said arrogance could condemn you to fateâs cruel hands, but ignorance? That was an entirely different punishmentâone that made you suffer while you were still alive.
Looking back, you should have thought twice before deciding to join those three.
You understood now why San Lang held such vehement dislike for the sun.
It wasnât the sunâs fault, of course, but that didnât change the fact that walking under its merciless glare felt like being roasted alive in an oven.
If sheer frustration alone could shatter celestial bodies, you would have crushed the sun into a thousand pieces by now.
Long story short, the journey to Banyue Pass was neither your favorite experience nor something youâd recount as a pastime. You lost count of how many times you nearly fainted from exhaustion.
And then there was that time during the sandstorm.
One moment, you were walking, and the next, the wind had hurled you off your feet, tossing you through the air like a rag doll. By the time you landed, you were half-buried in sand, coughing and sputtering as you dug yourself out.
You were never particularly fond of sand. Scratch thatâyou hated sand.
The first thing you planned to do when you returned home was take the longest, most thorough bath of your life.
But the desert had more to throw at you.
There was also that incident with the scorpion snakes.
You had all gone through the trouble of securing the antidote for the local guide, navigating one problem after another. While Xie Lian and San Lang ventured into the palace grounds, you had remained elsewhere, separate from whatever madness they encountered inside.
That was one of the reasons why you had no idea what, exactly, they and the rest of the merchant group had been dealing with.
And you certainly had no idea that, at some point, San Lang had willingly thrown himself into the Sinnerâs Pit.
All you knew was that, deep into the night, Xie Lianâs voice had echoed through the darkness.
âââââââââââââââââââââ
The Banyue Pass arc feels so long and exhausting to write about. I want to include my character in more scenes, but Iâm too drained to come up with anythingâplus, he absolutely hates sand. The only reason he tagged along was purely to spite Nan Feng and Fu Yao. Sorry if this section feels a bit shortâIâll make it up to you all in the next part!
Here's part one and part two
i did an outfit swap with tamaki and waifu deku! Sorry I wasnt in the mood to draw Tamaki so here you just get waifu in villain suneater outfit haha.
The Wayne kids arenât mafia, but individually theyâre scary enough for people to assume they are. Everyone knows Brucie Wayne is the biggest himbo ever and his kids are running everything from the shadows. Itâs likeâŚa given. Seriously have you seen his kids? Timâs even the CEO at 18.
Dick is beloved. Everywhere he goes kids practically flock to him, but people have seen him slam one too many possible child predators into a wall with the most threatening smile for them to think heâs all sunshine and rainbows.
One time, a mother asked for his help because his daughter was missing and the police wouldnât help. Dick made one call (to Tim or Oracle), and the child was back by the end of the day and an entire trafficking ring was taken down. When asked he simply smiled and denied any involvement but said he was over joyed that one more trafficking ring was out of their city.
Jason Todd is Crime Alleyâs hero. More so than anyone else, he has directed funds to help the area he called home before being taken in by Wayne. He died, but no one actually believes that. The Wayne childrenâs âmafiaâ had him doing something under cover. And while dick is all threat with a smile, Jason is Threaten with a frown. He can send people running with just a look.
someone noticed that Jason is always strapped. Man has no less than 5 weapons and one is always a gun. He doesnât hide it, kids always ask him question and Jason always stops to answer them if he has the time. Even shows kids a few moves if they need to defend themselves. For whatever reason people donât connect hood to Jason, but they definitely think Jason is funding hood.
Tim is the most relatable. Certified genius and always down to help kids with homework. Sometimes heâll camp out in a cafe for the day. Without fail his location gets leaked and by mid afternoon heâs put away his WE work to tutor any students who have walked in.
Heâs always tired, always has coffee, and always gives people a smile, but he knows too much. Rumor is that nothing happens in this town without Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne knowing. One time he was taking a break at the park, scrolling through his phone when a group approached him clearly intent on kidnapping him. Before they even got close Tim was reciting their social security number, their cell phones, the names of their loved ones, and their address.
When Tim looked up it was with a tired smirk that clearly came across as a warning. He then stood, slipped a business card onto the bench, and told them if they need work to call this number and their reps will help them find something regardless of their past record.
Rumor has it the downfall of the most recent corrupt socialite was completely orchestrated by Tim.
Damian is a little gremlin that has the family wrapped around his finger. At first their were rumors of infighting between the two youngest (Tim and Damian), but then how could that be possible when at the first sign of trouble Timothy materializes out of the shadows wearing his motherâs smile that promised social and financial ruin if you so much as looked at his baby brother wrong.
Dick flat out punched a man in the face for calling Damian a terrorist. The âvictimâ was high society and swore up and down that their would be a law suit, but Tim took care of it with a few photos and screen shots of an affair that would have ruined the man in question.
Damian has scary dog privilege on his own, but itâs a whole new ballpark when Jason is out with him. Apparently someone tried to kidnap Damian on the way to meet up with Jason and the bats didnât even need to be called. Jason took care of it before they even got the kid in the van.
Damian is a violent little thing. Everyone knows, even if it was never announced, that he got it from where ever he had been living before, so they always gave him a little leeway, especially since his violent tendencies were decreasingâŚat least physically. Damian can, will, and regularly verbally eviscerates anyone who wrongs him. Itâs impressive as it is scary. ďżźThis kid looks at you like he can read every insecurity youâve ever had and is not afraid to air it to the world while also insulting you into the grave.
Individually theyâre terrifying, but the reason that theyâre still Gothamâs golden family is because together the goofiest fucking people you have ever seen in your life (also the endless amount of charity work they do together as a family). When all four siblings are together they always end up trending and itâs always the funniest shit youâve ever seen.
During the first major snow when all of the streets were shut down the Wayne Boys were out in all terrain jeeps shredding it up dragging someone behind them on skiâs or a snowboard
Somehow, all four boys were spotted trekking across town covered in a rainbow of colored powder. When someone enquired they admitted to getting into a rather harmless prank war with the currently reformed Ivy and Harleen Quiznel. If asked they totally won, but the fact that no part of any of the boys was uncovered said otherwise.
Dick once asked social media to help him track down Tim because he hadnât slept in 3 days and was not supposed to leave the house. Heâd been spotted at a cafe he doesnât usually frequent and anyone around to witness the retrieval would later say it was the cleanest covert op theyâd ever witnessed from the Wayne boys. Jason was the get away driver, dick was on retrieval duty, and Damian was there to make sure their route in and out was clear (hold open the door). Tim was recorded yelling every creative non curse (because no cursing in front of Damian, Alfred said so) under the sky, struggling in the arms of Dick Grayson who was smiling bright enough to rival the sun. 3 minutes in and out. The video screen shots are still used as a meme template to this day.
Brucie Wayne gets asked about his boys in interviews a lot. There are a lot of times where heâs only finding out about their shenanigans due to the interview question, but he just smiles and says heâs happy theyâre all getting along while mentally planning out how to deal with them later.
OP is too afraid to drop what Cass, Steph and Barbara can do
OP is not afraid to drop what Cass, Steph, and Barbra can do. OP just doesnât know their characters well enough to do their shenanigans Justice. That being said if anyone wants to add what the Cass, Steph, and Barbara can do please feel free to because they are just as much a member of the Wayne family unintentional mafia but likeâŚeveryone thinks they were recruited or something.
they cover up their tracks too well, but everyone KNOWS the girls are involved... somehow
except steph. She's the one who started the rumors, and is constantly a menace so ppl stop caring p quick
people think Duke is too new to be involved, he plays up his innocence for months until one day he just fucking destroys some assholes self esteem.
and then pretends nothing happens.
and people BELIEVE him. Because he pleads not guilty.
