May: Time of Transition May 1, 2026 Shaina Tranquilino
May arrives like a gentle turning point. It stands in the middle of becoming, where spring is still holding our hand, while summer waits just around the corner. The air feels softer now, warmer, filled with the quiet promise that brighter days are no longer far away. They are here, slowly unfolding.
There is something special about May because it is a month of transition. The world around us is changing in ways both loud and subtle. Trees that were once bare are now full of leaves dancing in the breeze. Flowers bloom in every direction, adding colour where winter once left emptiness. Lawns turn green again, gardens wake up, and the earth seems to stretch after a long sleep.
May teaches us that growth does not always happen all at once. Sometimes it comes petal by petal, sunrise by sunrise. It reminds us that beauty often arrives gradually. After months of cold, darkness, or stillness, life begins again with confidence.
This month also carries a sense of movement. We spend more time outside, lifting our faces toward the sun. Mornings feel lighter, evenings stay longer, and there is energy in the air that invites us forward. May feels like standing in a doorway, one foot in spring, one foot stepping into summer.
And maybe that is why May feels so hopeful. It shows us what is possible when seasons shift. It tells us that change can be soft, bright, and full of life. It reminds us that no season stays the same forever.
So as flowers bloom and sunlight lingers a little longer each day, May asks us to do the same. To open. To grow. To trust the warmth returning. To believe that brighter days are not just ahead, they have already begun.
