These boys are good, precious boys who need to be protected
Idk why I find this so cute
Fox sees Letta look at him and he can see the look of distrust on Letta's face and maybe he's annoyed cause he's like 'Why are you looking at me? I haven't hurt you yet.'
Also, can I point out the good boy to the left of Fox? He moves his head in sync with Fox like 'Are we gonna hurt someone dad?'
But then the boy on the right of Fox is looking up just focusing on the ceiling trying not to move because, 'Dad promised me ice cream if I do a good job'
Also, the boys are Grasshopper and Stumble- I'm sure you remember them. Grasshopper's on the left and Stumble on the right.
Also Yes- Fox is their exhausted dad who doesn't sleep and nothing you can say will change my mind.
Remember the time Ventress used the force on an object(I think clone plans from Kamino), and while in motion a clone grabs it. Like that's a force slap if I ever seen one.
Oh, you mean this scene
Yeah, this scene is like one of my favorites
Rebellions are built on hope
This morning we are once again losing our shit over the fact that Obi-Wan absolutely has a useless bastard son on Mandalore that he is legitimately so clueless he hasnât noticed.
That is not Satineâs fucking nephew.
Listen to me. Listen.
Satine Kryze has only one known sibling.
That sibling is Bo-Katan.
Aside from being a hugely enormous gayâwhat, realistically, is the likelihood that Bo-Katan âMandalorian Traditionalistâ Kryze would send her only son off to the pacifist aunt she actively hates and dedicated her life to overthrowing?Â
Even assuming that arrangement was made when he was tiny, what are the odds she would make zero attempt to reclaim him or even make contact as he came of age and was old enough to train as a warrior?
Look sure, they could have a brother or something that we donât know about, but it SURE IS FUCKING CONVENIENT that neither of them EVER MENTION THIS.
Korkie is also conveniently just around the right age to have been born about nine months after Obi-Wan left Mandalore the first time. And he looks a HELL of a lot more like his aunt than anyone else.
This is Bo-Katanâs son? This?
you expect me to believe that this is Bo-Katanâs son.
This. This?
I donât think so.
Listen, if nothing else, Bo-Katanâs eyes are a very striking gold, and blue eyes are a recessive trait. Itâs obviously not impossibleâmy sister has blue eyes and my dadâs eyes are dark brownâIâm just saying.
At best you could make the argument that as a kid he had the right hair color. But like. You know who else has the right hair color and DOESNâT have a laundry list of reasons Korkieâs being raised by his âauntâ with a suspicious lack of elaboration is ridiculous?
The guy we KNOW FOR A FACT WAS SLEEPING WITH SATINE ABOUT FIFTEEN YEARS AGO.
Also the guy who is like. Genuinely deeply perceptive. He knew about Anakin and Padme for YEARS before the twins came around, not that that took immense powers of observation given how unbelievably bad they are at being subtle.
(They had a twirly kiss in the main Senate building like fifty feet away from the Chancellor. Padmeâs poor handmaidens age ten years every time those two are near each other in public.)
He is a smart man. He has high levels of emotional intelligence. He figures out interpersonal relationships and picks up on unspoken motivations very, very quickly.
He apparently just believed Satine when she mentioned her ânephewâ because he is a garbage fire war criminal and I love him.
Can you explain any additional side effects/effects of ketamine?
kicks down the door, dual-wielding syringes
Did somebody say KETAMINE?L!!?!?#$$@@!!!!!!?
âŠShut it, Stethy.
Okay. Ketamine. My #1 all-time favorite pharmacological agent. (I have a feeling someone sent me this ask to cheer me up, which Iâve really needed this week, but Iâm not sure so Iâm going to answer it.)
Thereâs a phenomenal article about the âKetamine Brain Continuumâ from an amazing ER doc, which Iâm going to summarize here, but if youâre as fascinated as I am, is worth reading in its entirety.
In low doses, ketamine can relieve pain. It can also make people feel very âstonedâ.
In medium doses, it can cause hallucinations. This is what the drug using community refers to as âfalling down the K-hole,â and ketamine is indeed known for its illicit uses. For example:
Then I entered an orange-brown-black space occupied by a giant inflated kiwi-bird with ruffled, long tassel-like feathers and a long curved slim black beak, and the beak curved off into infinity. The space was like a corridor, with undulating grasses at the top and bottom, and the kiwi somehow inside it, but the sides were open and the corridor stretched off into infinity and I moved toward the kiwi and it felt beautiful, amazing, with loud buzzing, ringing sounds accompanying the journeyâŠ.
There are some fascinating first-hand accounts here: https://www.erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp_Ketamine.shtml Â
Note: I am in no way encouraging illicit uses of pharmacological agents. Any agent can be dangerous. But if you want to know what ketamine feels like, donât ask the medical providers, ask the people who use it for fun, right?Â
This is actually where medical people want patients not to be. The hallucinations can be distressful. To quote Dr. Reuben Strayer (above article):
If the patient develops distress shortly after an initial dose, the patient is not fully dissociated and the best maneuver is usually to give more ketamine.
Personally I think thatâs the best maneuver for almost any situation.
In high doses, ketamine works as an anesthetic, specifically a dissociative anesthetic. It shuts the brain off from outside stimulus completely. Basically what ketamine does is it shuts the brain off from outside stimuli. That means that even though someoneâs eyes are open (and possibly twitching, medically referred to as nystagmus) their brain isnât processing information from them. As a doc whose lectures I love likes to say, âThink of a beach. Or think of a mountaintop. Or think of a beach on a mountaintop. Anything is possible with ketamine.â
Think of it like this: with most anesthetics, the brain is temporarily turned off. With ketamine, the brain isnât turned off â itâs just disconnected from the outside world.
However, if someone is unprepared for it, those hallucinations can seem like a nightmare. And there is a portion of patients who get ketamine and, as it starts to wear off, they start screaming uncontrollably. This is called an âemergence reaction,â as they emerge from anesthesia and slip into the K-hole.
Someone who has been sedated/anosthetized with ketamine, especially if itâs against their will (used as a âknockout drugâ), will likely have very negative hallucinations. To an outsider theyâll be lying on the floor, eyes open and blinking, unable to move or react to anything. Itâs a great moment for a horror scene, or a horrific element to an action plot, especially if they have an emergence reaction and come back to reality screaming.
(Ketamine is also routinely used during veterinary euthanasia, at least where I live, and eyes stay open even after death, and thatâs something a good vet warns their clients about. Ketamine isnât the lethal agent, thatâs a barbiturate, I think usually just a massive overdose of phenobarbital.)
Other uses:
ketamine helps open up constricted airways (acts as a broncholytic or bronchodilator). This means that itâs the optimal anesthetic for intubating â putting a breathing tube in â severe asthmatics who need to go on ventilators.
Ketamine, in high doses, can be used to subdue patient who are physically violent and psychotic.
Because ketamine acts on different receptors than typical sedatives, it can be used to stop seizures when benzodiazepines (Valium, Ativan, VersedâŠ) have failed.
Low-dose, slow infusions of ketamine have seen great promise in depression thatâs not responding to other approaches. There are ketamine clinics around for exactly this purpose.
Low-dose / analgesic ketamine is often used by EMS personnel during rescue scenarios where someone is trapped or pinned in a vehicle because ketamine, unlike most pain medications, doesnât reduce blood pressure.
Ketamine is typically not used as an anesthetic in head injury patients because there is some (conflicting) data on whether or not it can increase intracranial pressure.
So thatâs ketamine. Thanks for the ask and thanks for listening to my madness!

Writing PTSD, a brief guide
-PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder), is a mental disorder that may develop after the exposure to a violent or traumatic event, such as war, sexual assault, traffic accident, witnessing a violent death, natural disasters etc. Symptoms can pop up months or even years later.
-Letâs start with the most common, most known symptom: flashbacks. They are invasive memories, sensory experiences in which the past and the present âoverlapâ. Flashbacks can be triggered by basically everything: words, situations, places, noises, even certain smells or tastes! The patient feels like the traumatic event is happening all over again, thus experiencing fear, anxiety or anger. Flashback can feel extremely real, to the point of hearing sounds, smelling or tasting the same things people heard, smelled or tasted during the traumatic event. Somebody stuck in a flashback may have fast, shallow breathing, may have a âstiffâ posture or tremors, may be unfocused or may have trouble differentiating the invasive memory from the reality. Flashbacks can last from a few seconds (most common occurrence), to longer periods of time. A person having a flashback may experience some degree of dissociation.
-Nightmares are another important factor in ptsd. Patients tend to experience distressing nightmares, often related to the shocking event. These nightmares tend to scare the sufferers to the point that they may be afraid of falling asleep, and may lead to a disrupted sleeping schedule or cause the onset of insomnia or other sleep related conditions.
-This is one thing that I see very rarely in fics involving ptsd: increased flight-or-fight response. The great majority of ptsd sufferers will recognize themselves in this description. Basically, your mind is always stuck on the traumatic event, and this puts your brain in a state of constant alert. Itâs like having bells ringing and red lights flashing in your head all the time. Every little thing is enough to put your brain into overdrive. A door slamming? WAS THAT A GUNSHOT? A car honking? WEâRE GONNA DIE IN A CAR CRASH! Your cat jumping unexpectedly on your lap? A PHYSICAL ATTACK, SOMEBODY CAME TO MURDER ME!
Literally, every little, unexpected thing is enough to make the sirens in your head go off.
This is why people with ptsd tend to be overly jumpy, nervous and easily scared by sudden movements or noises. Something as innocent as a touch to the shoulder is enough to make them jump in fear.
-Sufferers may have extreme mood swigs, often feeling extremely depressed or angry.
-Some people with ptsd tend to develop unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as exceeding in alcohol consumption, substance abuse and self-harming.
-Psychotherapy is the best solution. Besides traditional medication, some people have experienced good results with alternative techniques, such as art therapy and emdr.
