My “No Corpses Are Kept In This Vehicle Overnight” sticker is raising a lot of questions already answered by my sticker
men will say “princess treatment ❤️” and then it’s just how i normally treat the cashier at the store
I don't know if any of you had the same experience as me, but I tried therapy when I was a teenager living in an abusive household and thought it was a waste of time. Ultimately my biggest problems (dad) were beyond my control and no amount of coping would make them better. Now that I'm an adult with actual control over my life and don't live with my dad anymore therapy is MUCH more helpful.
If any of you had bad experiences with therapy when you were younger it may be worth it to try again now.
THE SAME GOES FOR MEDICATION!! I tried meds as a teenager and they were powerless to help much due to my living situation being horrible. I thought that meant medication didn't work for me. Now that I'm out of that situation and trying agajn I can really see a difference.
Such a large part of therapy depends on having some control over your life! Therapy isn't just talking to someone and they make everything go away. They give you tools to master your problems! And if you can't use them, they aren't of any use. And it's the same for meds! If they let you be more productive or creative but you have no outlet for that, the end result is the same. If your meds help you see the positives but there are no positives to see, you won't notice the difference.
Sometimes you get the wrong tools. Sometimes there's no space to use them. Sometimes the hardware store sucks. Try again with different tools, in different locations, at a new store.
people aren't wrong in saying you should have sympathy for girls with eating disorders but whenever someone uses online eating disorder communities (like ed twitter) as an example I cannot follow...like those girls are getting hate for being just straight up awful to other people who have nothing to do with them. taking someone else's photo and saying you're using it as inspiration to starve yourself is worthy of criticism
also having anorexia doesn't make you aggressively hate fat people. i've struggled with this disorder throughout my life and literally never had that problem. you can become easily irritated when hungry, but it doesn't make you adopt certain worldviews, lol. i'm not saying people who do these things are irredeemable--I was still an insane bpdhead as a teenager for other reasons. i'm just saying political views are not a mental illness. also while some eating disorder communities are helpful because you can relate to people, keep in mind this is a competitive disorder where people will encourage each other to essentially kill themselves, so often finding community causes problems. I would say anorexics are more akin to addicts in logic behavior in some ways (and there's often substance abuse involved anyway). so like, yes you can have sympathy but keep in mind the situation is largely self-destructive and sympathy isn't easy to come by all the time. a lot of people lose relationships with friends and family and so on - I often feel functionally useless in my own relationship due to physical limitations
I hope fifty good things happen to you within the next 30 seconds. I love you so much
You know how we call things "pseudoscience"... the media analysis that's being done on twitter and tumblr should be pseudohumanities
*walks into an antique store* i’d like to see your most evil items, please
actually im doing really well except for the fact that everything makes me sad and the things that dont make me sad make me angry. but other than that im fine
You, the queen of a fairy tale kingdom, got cursed to give birth to a princess who’s going to live her life isolated in a tower the first 20 years of her life. Narrate how you avoid your daughter’s fate.
She laughed, when she placed the curse on me. Laughed and laughed. She called me a fool for coming to her, for wanting children who would sap my strength and steal my power.Â
One child to take my kingdom, she promised me. Well, I’d wanted an heir. It didn’t have to be a curse.Â
One child the sea would steal. There was room in that. They didn’t have to die, only to love the sea. I would buy the finest ships.Â
And the third would suffer my grandmother’s fate.Â
The tower.Â
Grandmother told me stories about that tower, shuddering. About the isolation almost driving her mad. About the desperate longing for escape. I know what that escape cost her, and my grandfather as well, with his scarred face and limping gait.Â
That was going to be difficult.Â
The sorceress’s curse worked. Within the year, I held my first babe in my arms, a sturdy boy who kicked and cried and cuddled against his mother as if he hadn’t been made only to bring me grief. Well, all mothers grieve.Â
Keep reading
The sorceress’ mistake was in casting the same curse as was on the Queen’s grandmother. You think she didn’t spend her life thinking “If only grandmama has done this, had tried that,” nibbling away at the words like a mouse at a rope, until it gives way? The sorceress barely thought about that curse; she copied and pasted. The Queen had received that very rare and special gift; a lifetime of if-onlies that actually paid off
i can understand the trials but were the tribulations really necessary
i think being able to identify and deconstruct an irrational feeling should make it go away. i literally solved your riddle puzzle master can u let me OUT the damn TORTURE LABYRINTH
