Hey, thank you so much for all your fan art about the outsiders. It’s fall, which means middle schoolers across the US will soon be venturing out into the world of outsiders fandom. It’s a story that never gets old!

Oh yeah, I'm from Europe so I kinda forget that you guys have it as a lecture book in US (which im so jealous of haha) <3

I was in Tulsa this past week to visit some outsiders filming locations (7th grade me is screaming) and it made me think about that outsiders comic you posted a while ago!

This ask is not only to inquire about if you plan to continue it but also just to say I think about it so much!! Whether it gets finished or not, I wanted to tell you I love it and the story concept is so cool!

Inspired by Hamilton: The Musical and the novel My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Drey, My Dear Kelly embarks on a unique journey through history told through the eyes of David Jacobs, “Vice President” of Union Leader Jack Kelly of the 1899 Newsboy Strike. A combination of the 1992 film and Broadway musical Newsies, this retelling dives into the more political background of David’s life. It shows the darker side of Disney and the darker side of history. Told through the eyes of David Jacobs, David retells his life from the beginning to the end. Covering events like the Philippine War, The Pullman Strike, Battleship Maine, Bonnie & Clyde, The John Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925, The Great Depression, WWI, WWII, David not only tells the timeline that shaped his life, he also tells the love, family, betrayals, and grief. He not only tells his own story, but he tells the story of Jack Kelly. And what he could have been. For even all these years later, one question remains unanswered: who lives, who dies, who tells your story.

He totally hasn't secretly been in love with her for years. She totally won't secretly fall for him in a few years time either. Pictured is the aftermath of Janet successfully having defended her doctoral thesis. Poor Mr. Martin—came a guest at Eugene's invitation to be a part of the celebrations, because as far as he was concerned it was a foregone conclusion that Janet would be walking out of that room as Dr. Hamilton; left bearing witness to two idiots in love finally admitting it and making their fake marriage official after almost a decade of mutual pining <3

MY FAVORITE BOOKS: PART ONE

So I'm making a series of illustrations of my fave books :D First - of course - The Outsiders which was the start of my digital art journey! And also I think the most fanart I've EVER drawn was The Outsiders <3 So it has a very special place in my heart and it always will.

Hi, I like your Solider & Poet piece…it’s so lovely. Just wanted to say- something g to think about — that maybe the ‘I don’t support Wilbur’ disclaimer isn’t needed anymore? Like you said, enjoying the character doesn’t say anything about him at all…and I think all it does at this point is reinforce the painful division between fans. There are DSMP fans who saw the situation differently. I’m not talking about who is right or wrong, but I just mean that appreciating the DSMP is something we all have in common. Maybe there is no need to keep highlighting we each stand when we make art about it. It feels like drawing a fence around the art that tells people with the other viewpoint that they aren’t welcome to appreciate it. Don’t answer or post this. My heart sinks and I feel sad and left out when art has those statements and just wanted to say so. Maybe you don’t know, and maybe you don’t care and that’s ok - bit mentioning it just in case.

I mean I don't want people to think that it's a fanart FOR him. I do it to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary drama. Just because I say that I don't support him doesn't mean people who do can't enjoy art of the character, because it is art of the character NOT the person. I didn't even say anything like 'Wilbur supporters DNI' so I feel like you choose to feel attacked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ People these days are easily discouraged by just an opinion and to me it's kinda crazy.

Wilbur is controversial whether people want it or not, so let's not require people to be neutral. The divide will unfortunetly be there and no matter what we do - only Wilbur could close it by showing that he was falsely accused and isn't just ignoring the subject or saying empty words.

Also saying 'don't answer or post it'? Way to say that you don't care about my opinion about the situation - I have as much right to give you feedback lmao
