Aziraphale: "Why has the bathtub been turned into a pit of snakes?â Crowley: "Reasons. Which I have. Totally not an impulse thing" (yoinked from Corvid prompts)
Please feel free to send me any prompts. More of my fics here. Warning, I might be a little tipsy oops but must ficlet.
Aziraphale stares at the bathtub.
Multiple. Many? Lots of eyes at least. Aziraphale resists the urge to get out some of his other eyes and out stare the pile of snakes in the bathtub.
Though a lot of snakes in one place... does that have a name? Crowley would kno- Oh! Hang on, who put the snakes in the bathtub?
Aziraphale has a vague moment of recognising he might be a little tipsy and then ignores it, stumbling back downstairs. Crowley is where he left him, staring sadly at an empty bottle and singing.
'Angel! Bottle's empty, colon, close bracket.'
It takes a moment for Aziraphale's mind to reboot, thinking around that ridiculousness that is Crowley. Drunk Crowley. Well. Normal Crowley. Lovely Crowley.
Why is he back here? Oh yes!
'Crowley what are many snakes called?'
A vague look from Crowley. 'Snakes?'
'No no no, the word for a group. For many. Many snakes.'
'Pitss. Rudeeeee,' Crowley hisses. 'They're pitss not us.'
'Crowley, Crowley, Crowley. Why has the bathtub been turned into a pit of snakes?'
Crowley gives Aziraphale a blank look, a much more sober blank look. Oh, is this one of those?
Aziraphale sobers up too, with a grimace. He gives his shifty looking partner a Look.
As usual, Crowley caves. 'Reasons. Which I have. Totally not an impulse thing.'
A sigh. 'Where did you get the poor things?'
Crowley gives Aziraphale a dark look. 'No where they're going back to.'
Ah. One of those reasons then. Well that's a different story!
'Come on then, we have to go shopping. Oh... but can we leave them alone?'
It takes Crowley a few moments to stop gapping and respond. 'Shut the door and they should be okay for an hour or so. If they know what's good for them.'
Aziraphale nods. 'Quite right then. Come on, to the pet shop!'
