Tom Riddle One Shot
I scribbled a short one shot about Tom Riddle x OC the previous night since I couldn’t sleep & decided to share it. It’s kinda connected to my long fanfiction about Tom, so two things you should know before reading:
- He and the heroine have made a blood pact that can make them feel each other’s presence, strong emotions (and some more things not required to know for the shot), they promised each other loyalty (not in a romantic way), not to lie to each other etc. If they break the pact, they die.
- The heroine was the first person to recieve the Dark Mark.
I think that’s it, enjoy!
Warning: Gets a bit pervy, but no smut.
The room was dimly lit by the dying fire and seemed completely empty at first sight. For Diana, it wasn't. The feeling of heat flowing through her veins the moment she stepped into the greenish common room told her she was not alone. Walking downstairs, she eventually noticed a dark outline of a head slowly turning towards her, belonging to someone sitting on the couch.
GUYS WHAT THE HECK
why is nobody talking about the fact that Grindelwald's first name as Graves was PERCIVAL
frigging Albus PERCIVAL Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
WHY DID I REALISE IT SO LATE
dumbledore: so the matron tells me you’re the antichrist
riddle: yep
dumbledore: i’m going to set your wardrobe on fire, want to join my magic school?
Reblogging because this is too gold
Ok so I just realised most of the wizards had no clue Voldemort's real name was Tom Riddle (proof being Ron - A WIZARD FROM ALL-MAGIC FAMILY - cleaning the awards and having no clue who Tom Riddle was or what he did to recieve an award). So imagine how SHOOKETH (or at least confused) the wizards during the Battle fo Hogwarts must have been when Harry randomly called Voldemort 'Tom'.
I mean, at least some of them must have been like, "Eyyy, I never wondered what his name was." or "So his real name isn't Voldemort???????"
Idk why, but this is so funny to me 😂
So v2
So like I've said before I have soooo many HP fanfics on Wattpad and they're really successful and I kinda just want to check what you - different language(s) speakers - think about their 'plot', or more specifically the ideas I have about some characters. Treat it like a headcanon. This one is my most successful one, Fred Weasley x OC.
• she is a Slytherin (and don't be afraid it is NOT going to be how you think it is)
• 6th year in GoF - means the same year as the twins, of course
• pure-blood
• the daughter of Lucius' sister (don't worry)
• she thinks her entire family was in Slytherin
• has 3 female friends
• and a guy who 'kinda likes her'
• Adrian Pucey (he is in canon, plays Chaser for the Slytherin team)
• she isn't really outstanding
• but she is AMAZING at Potions
• she is known for being mean, like Draco
• but the difference is she doesn't want to
• but is under pressure from her parents (mostly mother) & her friends
• the only person that ever told her this 'pure-blood thing' is nonsense is her grandma from father's side
• but she passed away
• but she believed her and she doesn't really think Mudbloods and blood traitors are scum and all that
• she envies the Weasleys
• because her friends find their jokes stupid
• and she's sure her mother would disinherit her if she just talked to blood traitors
• and she likes the jokes but would never admit that to anyone
• in her 6th year she's a prefect, and completely tired of pretending and wants to calm down a bit
• she kinda 'defends' the Weasleys in front of Snape
• and doesn't put them in detention
• AND stops her cousin - Draco - from picking on them
• the Weasleys realise she may not be as bad as she seems
• then the twins want to find someone to brew them a Love Potion for their shop
• they exclude the teachers and Hermione immediately
• because she'd say sth like 'YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE THIS IS DANGEROUS'
• after discussion they decide to ask our protagonist
• and offer her pranking anyone anytime she wants in return
• she agrees hoping to get revenge on her mean, awful 'friends' she's had enough of
• they start meeting regularly in a secret passage the twins discovered
• at one point the twins find her crying in a library
• and this is the turning point - she confesses how much she hates her family's beliefs ans how much she'd like to have true friends like the Weasleys
• they offer her their friendship - in secret
• A LOT of things happen during a few months but it's too much to describe
• shortly, she eats too much of the twins' sweets at some point
• stars behaving as though she's drunk and confesses her love for Fred
• he loves her back, but she DOESN'T REMEMBER A THING
• Fred confesses TWO MONTHS LATER
• shortly after they become a couple her friends discover that she'd been meeting the Weasleys all the time
• Draco tells his father about it
• chaos happens
• Lucius is furious, so is his sister
• her father eventually defends her and she finds out he was in fact a Hufflepuff
• but was able to marry Lucius' sister because his mother - the grandma - was friends and even the girlfriend of one of the most important Death Eaters
• but she never was a Death Eater herself, hating Voldemort's ideology - she broke up with her Death Eater boyfriend, the protagonist's grandpa she never knew
• thanks to her father she can finally date Fred openly
• and maaaaany more things happen I didn't even mention how she tried to find out who her grandpa was or that one of her female friends had a crush on her
I wonder if I should translate this fic to English one day
SO
So I have soooo many HP fanfics on Wattpad and they're really successful and I kinda just want to check what you - different language(s) speakers - think about their 'plot', or more specifically the ideas I have about some characters. Treat it like a headcanon. First off, Oliver Wood and the girl I made for him (my ultimate OTP).
• she is a Ravenclaw from his year
• and is like, super smart & intelligent
• but also very kind, so kind she's naive at times
• Head Girl along with Percy (changing plot but who cares?)
• she is great on a broom
• but can't play Quidditch at all
• they begin dating at their 7th year
• after Oliver punched her two-faced boyfriend that was using her for homework
• and she became Oliver's #1 fan
• their first kiss happens after Gryffindor wins the House Cup
• she later becomes a Healer
• and is really strict about Oliver's health
• even if it's just a scratch
• (he's addicted to her 'medical' massages)
• Oliver proposes to her completely unexpectedly
• at the Quidditch World Cup
• and the ring has a Golden Snitch on it of course
• they get married in winter
• and Oliver invites literally everyone from his team and staff for them to see how amazing his wife is
• they have two sons
• the older is a shy Ravenclaw
• (Remus-ish Lupin-ish vibe)
• but he is like super good at Potions
• and smart in overall like his mother
• he's scared that Oliver won't be happy if he doesn't play Quidditch which he HATES playing
• bonding moment when Oliver assures him he loves him no matter what
• (not without some nagging from his wife)
• the younger son is a Gryffindor
• he becomes a Chaser
• (because he was training with Oliver as a Keeper he becomes a totally superb Chaser)
• he becomes captain of the team in his 6th year
• Oliver. is. in. tears.
omg I love them this is my favourite couple I've ever came up with
MY RAVENCLAW FRIEND...
This is legit what happened.
My Ravenclaw best friend was wondering if she should go to her classmate's birthday or not.
I jokingly said she should write pros and cons essay.
SHE DID.
Going to Hogwarts would be cool and all but imagine having to be in school while knowing that movie you really wanted to see is in theaters but you can’t go see it because fucking Hogwarts teachers won’t let you go home for a weekend to see it - you have to wait until holidays or until it’s out on Netflix or DVD. Imagine being a marvel fan attending Hogwarts and you can’t go see Infinity War.
I would be ready to let go of everything like this if it meant attending Hogwarts.
Y'ALL KNOW WHAT
I'm writing a Lucissa fic rn and I still think Narcissa is so freaking underrated
SHE LIED TO VOLDEMORT, TO THE MOST POWERFUL DARK WIZARD EVER, RIGHT UNDER HIS NON-EXISTENT NOSE, BECAUSE OF THE LOVE FOR HER SON AND SHE FRIGGIN SAVED THE ENTIRE WIZARDING WORLD BECAUSE IF IT WASN'T FOR HER HARRY WOULD BE DEAD IN AN INSTANT, AND JAMES AND LILY'S SACRIFICE AND EVERYONE'S WOULD HAVE BEEN FOR NOTHING
Love Narcissa Malfoy. She deserves it.
End of speech.
-Where are my Slytherins who have meltdowns after spending all night trying to do an assignment they didn’t quite understand but the pressure to not ask for help was too high? -Where are my Slytherins that are so, incredibly ambitious but procrastinate everything until almost last minute? -Where are my Slytherins that aren’t taken seriously by other houses because they actually do care for people? -Where are my Slytherins that are fucking tired of waiting for Hogwarts Mystery energy to fill up?
a scene HP books lack:
Ginny knocking on Dursleys' door and after angry Uncle Vernon opens, she's like: "Hello, I'm Harry's girlfriend, he had probably mentioned I'd come?"
and Uncle Vernon is like "PETUNIA!!!"
and then the hell opens because 1. THE BOY HAS A GIRLFRIEND 2. Petunia realises Ginny looks like Lily
HELP ME OUT GUYS
So I've got a question for y'all fellow Potterheads, because my readers are equally divided.
I'm writing a Fred Weasley fanfiction and I just don't know what to do with the ending. I have an idea for both, don't know which one is better.
Should I leave it as in canon, so he will die, there will be lots of angst and crying (because the entire story is kind of sad itself), and the main character will eventually end up with George in the epilogue
or
Should I just ignore the canon in this case and they will get married eventually, everything to avoid this heart-breaking vision we've already had in the books?
What do you think I should do?
Authentic conversation from today. Me, wearing a Slytherin hat and scarf and the girl I just got to know. She stares my outfit down.
She: How can you be on the same side as Draco?
Me: How can you not be on the same side as Draco?
She: I'm a Gryffindor.
Me: Oh.
She: So you don't support Harry?
Me: Definitely not.
She: I don't understand you.
Me: I don't understand you.
Why I think Voldemort would be able to love (if...)
Come on.
Love is a big deal in Harry Potter and we all know that.
Lord Voldemort was conceived under the effect of the Love Potion, that's why he didn't have the ability to love.
Or did he?
Dumbledore says no spell can bring the dead back, BUT Harry's mother dies for him and her love leaves him super protection so he literally DOESN'T GET KILLED. Hmm, so we can stop death not with magic but with...love? Plus, she earns him super protection so Voldemort can't even touch him, no matter how great at magic he was.
Voldemort was like, an amazingly skilled wizard, he could literally do anything with magic...But then Harry says he pities Voldemort because he'll never know love.
Remorse, connected with love (probably) is the only way to put the pieces of your soul back if you had split it (Horcruxes).
Love was the thing that made Merope Gaunt stop giving Tom Riddle Sr the Love Potion - she didn't want to live like this anymore and hoped she would love her back by now, so she believed real love was stronger than a potion.
Love is the thing that helped Snape fool two of the greatest wizards of all time.
Ron may have had the Deluminator, but it was his love for Hermione that helped him find his way back to her and Harry.
It's impossible to create real love with magic (as Slughorn says about Amortentia).
Conclusion? Love is way more powerful than magic and I bet if someone truly loved Voldemort, the 'spell' (as in his disability to love because of the potion) could have been broken.
HARRY POTTER QUESTION OF THE DAY
If someone breaks an Unbreakable Vow, they die instantly.
What would happen if Voldemort - or any other witch or wizard with Horcruxes - broke such a vow?
BEING FRIENDS WITH A RAVENCLAW INCLUDES
• you having these 'this is actually genius!' moments when they state something obvious
• you putting up with their complaining about how crap their art is when it's usually amazing
• them constantly telling you how little time they have and how many books they want to read
• you feeling really dumb sometimes
• them giving you these completely random facts about things
• you asking them 'have you really been watching this show for the entire night' and seeing the answer right on their face
• you cheering them up when they finished a book/movie/any series and feel empty
• them not having time to put up with some stupid drama
• them making DIY things for you
• them pursuing you to do something creative
• them looking for everything that's aesthetic (and overusing this word)
• them trying to give you rational reasonings (for everything)
• them sometimes making up their own words without warning and you being totally confused by that
• you having to bring them back to reality at times
• you explaining they can't marry a fictional character
