GCS Rare Pair Fest Posting Starts in 3h!

The time has come for posting the contributions to the Game Changers Universe Rare Pair Fest!

This idea started with a few !! and now there are over 20 fics already waiting to be posted for this event. 🤯

We are delighted so many of you prompted and then made those rare pairs a reality. Thank you for taking part in this event!

Between ficlets from just under 1k to one-shots of over 20k, we are going to feast all August long, and beyond.

As we go into posting, here is the plan;

We have some extensions happening, so we cannot say when the reveal day will be yet, but we will be sure to announce it once we have a date for you!

Fic Summary: Shane Hollander loves hunting. He is skilled, he is focussed and he is known to be the best. When hunting also becomes his refuge from his mother's attempts to find him a suitable wife, he never would have guessed that other than pheasants and foxes, he would end up catching himself a husband instead.

Snippet: It is half way through the season, when Shane enters the eatery where he is supposed to meet his parents for lunch. He is late, which is very unusual for him, but when on his way to get here, he had passed by a street vendor selling the latest issue of the Ton’s gossip paper “The Whistler” that displays Rozanov’s name written in bolt letters on the front page, combined with the man’s image, Shane had not able to suppress the urge to learn what it says about the Russian. After checking thoroughly that nobody he knows witnesses him indulging in such a frivolous piece of writing, Shane buys an issue of said paper and gets lost in it right there at the street corner.

He has not seen the man in person since the night they spent together at the inn and Shane has both dreaded and longed to meet him again at any social affair of the ongoing season, but for whatever reason, they have not crossed paths, so Shane is desperate for any news about him.

The author exaggerates Rozanov’s stands with the Ton as most eligible bachelor of the season, and leading the unofficial hunting score. Shane can not help himself but bark out an incredulous laugh when he reads: “Mr. Rozanov, is it true that you said you are going to shoot forty pheasants this season?” “Is lie, liar told you that. I said fifty!”

The audacity of this man never ceases to amaze him, but at the same time stirs something deeper, warmer inside him.

reblog art instead of just liking it! not only will you increase the amount of people who see it (more cool people seeing cool art!!!!) but then you can also leave some nice comments in the tags about how cool the art is!!!

no theories??? you can reblog the ones you really like, or even question the ones you don’t! fandom thrives on engagement! i’m not saying yell at someone for having a different opinion, but there’s no harm saying “oh, i didn’t see it that way. can you tell me more?” if you know of someone who has cool/interesting theories, please encourage them to talk more about it!! they probably held back the first time!
