I head cannon that after Ivy’s baby was born Nadia was the best aunt ever, like she’d visit all the time, babysit, play house and other games with the child. She’d play hide and go seek and be like the Cool Aunt™ and would be loving and accepting to her niece/nephew. She’d always tell stories about her and Jason when they were younger and about how good of a brother he was to her. How her and ivy were friends as children and how even through she was jealous of her in high school they made up and become the best of friends. And over all just help ivy with the teenage Mom thing and always being there for them because ivy and her child are family to her.
(Don’t forget dressing up as Santa for Christmas and bringing the best gifts)
This is a cute AU but Ivy definitely had an abortion
Fair! I also personally think Ivy would have gotten an abortion if she could but she’s religious so maybe not? I don’t know I think it’s interesting to think about
Definitely don't think she did, mainly because of the, "how do I make sense of what I've gained and what I've lost" line, like I get the feeling that after Jason's death she sort of felt like the child was a part of him she gained? But that's just how I feel about it!
Dear Jason,

honestly i’m like genuinely curious now. if you hc marvin as a bottom can you like,,, give me some reasoning other than the “while i put the steak in” line?????
This is actually something I've thought a lot about and I'll say one thing first: I think fandoms debating gay people's positions is getting kind of old? Like, saying if you are a top or a bottom can be funny and if you personally identify or like a term then that's cool but as a person who used to discuss the positions of characters and such often I'm just kind of tired of seeing these debates when there is so much more depth to this musical. There are different really interesting things I've noticed every now and then in the musical that never get brought up, but this topic is persistent when it's so obsolete.
That being said, yeah there is the steak line, there is the line about him having painting of dicks (only in the revival) there is him looking at Whizzer under the sheets, there is the fact that it is heavily implied that they both have hiv which doesn't necessarily mean they switched but very well could. Other than that I just don't like the idea that because Marvin is the more masculine one (even if it was toxic at the beginning) that that means he can't bottom or wouldn't bottom.
Furthermore, the story is about a man overcoming his internalized homophobia, toxic masculinity, and becoming sexually liberated. Not to say a top can't be that way, but it doesn't seem consistent with the theme of the story to have Marvin be sexually stagnant.
Putting Marvin and Whizzer in these boxes is exactly what we are supposed to *stop doing by the second act!* In the second act we see Whizzer be allowed to be more masculine because he is a man and that part of him was being stifled and Marvin allow himself to be more feminine because it's part of who he is. That's one of the points of the story, that neither of them are stuck in one role.
Capital classes: I wonder why “eat the rich” and guillotine jokes are so popular among millennials?

They want you to come in early, leave late, and take a paycut, but they don’t even wanna be there.
For those saying this is, "obviously satire," it may be, but a simple google search shows that the little writting on the bottom left corner that says Giggles & Grins © is actually the name of a few different stores and companies, most notably (because they own the website gigglesandgrins and as such seem more like they own the brand) an indoor play space seller. This cartoony design matches their child friendly aesthetic too.
If it isn't them it still doesn't make sense why a satire piece would have a copyright symbol and a store name on the bottom, unless they just thought that was a funny detail to add. Sounds unlikely to me.
honestly any post comparing the flaws of two characters in Falsettos (i.e. Mendel and Marvin) isn’t controversial or revolutionary, and it completely misses the point of the show, which isn’t that one character’s actions are worse than another’s, it’s that people can be deeply flawed and act terribly, but still have the ability to grow and change, and also be worthy of love and redemption. but go off, I guess.
