there's something to be said about negligence of parents providing a child with too much of a food or drink that could be harmful like energy drinks, but also something to be said about maybe not selling something to the general public that could do so much damage so quickly in the first place. my parents don't know shit about energy drinks other than they're caffeinated and I like the taste of them. how are they supposed to assume by default they're different than like, coffee? all these companies just decided to make tasty drinks with an insane amount of caffeine per serving. last time I went to a work meetup they also had energy drinks, specifically the ones facing a lawsuit for the death of a teenage girl who drank a lot of them. that specific brand of energy drink is popular with women right now here. i've tried them before and compared to my energy drink of choice they made me feel horrible much faster (headache, nausea), so I didn't engage (and wonder how others are able to drink so many, but our bodies handle things differently I guess)
