What started as some warm-ups turned into drawing some fanart for once
Continued kcd2 again recently, and got into the second region with all my highest stats in horsemanship and houndmaster. My henry might not be able to read but hes at least really good at looking after his animals

Chapter Summary:
Hans and Henry ride out with Captain Bernard and his men to find Wolflin's encampment.
Chapter 9: Pride Before The Fall
“Lord Capon, when we get there, I’d like you to hold back,” Captain Bernard said as soon as everyone was mounted atop their own steed, and for all that Hans knew, the captain might not have even meant to cause any ill will, and yet, his words managed to make Hans grind his teeth atop Aethon nonetheless.
“You can forget about that, Bernard! I’m not going on an outing. Hanush sent me to handle this matter. And handle it, I will.”
“Well, I don’t have any doubts in you, Sir Hans. I just meant that, for our own sake—”
“I know what you meant, Captain, and forget it!”
“Very well, Your Grace…” Bernard then said, his last words on the matter rather sighed than spoken out.
Perhaps, Hans thought, there was far too much irritation aimed at the captain in his voice, yet the ghost of the fight between him and his uncle was still heavy on his mind – in a way Hans thought he had barely survived the encounter by the skin of his teeth. It lay heavy on his heart and nerves just as much, as it was quite obvious, but perhaps, that too was something that needed to be remedied.
So Hans drew in a deep breath, and held it in there for a brief while, before he finally let it escape, with his voice intent to be calmer. Gentler. “Listen, Bernard. About this robber… I heard some rumours,” he said, only as loud as he absolutely had to be with the wind blowing against his words.
“About his being a relative of mine, and Milota’s?” Bernard asked.
“Something like that,” he replied, and from behind, he could see the captain’s shoulders shrug.
“We have the same great-grandfather, Urban, Baron of Oleshna. Wolflin belongs to a distant branch of my family, which… Well, let’s just say they bring no honour to our name.”
“But I heard Wolflin of Kamber was hanged somewhere in Silesia after plundering the bishop’s estates?”
“I heard the same,” Bernard agreed. “Only… well, I’m sure you’ve heard what they say about the Kamberg branch of my family?”
“That they’re cursed?” Hans chuckled; he’s always found that rumour rather humorous. “Now, Bernard, don’t you think I’m a little old for fairy tales?”
Bernard let out a puff of air, nigh mimicking the ones his galloping steed had huffed. “Think what you like, but I heard it from my grandfather, and he never paid attention to old wives’ tales,” the man said, somewhat with his own air of irritation now, something Hans certainly had wanted to avoid – another fight.
“I meant no offence, Captain,” he said, and quietly sighed, before he went on: “Tell me all about it, then. After all, there’s no smoke without fire, and I never heard about the Kamber clan from a member of the family.”
“Very well,” Bernard obliged as he spurred his horse. “At home, we always spoke in whispers about our Kamberg relatives. When Wolflin’s father, Wilhelm, came to visit…”—the man cleared his throat in discomfort—“I’m almost ashamed to say it…”
“You can rely on my discretion, Captain. Carry on.”
“Well, the servants were so afraid of him that they went and hid in the barn. Father had them whipped, but even then they wouldn’t go near Wilhelm. They were afraid he’d curse them – and I couldn’t blame them.”
Hans squinted, partially due to the story, but also partially because of the way the sun fell into his eyes as they took around a bend. “Why’s that?”
Bernard cleared his throat once more. “Uncle Wilhelm’s face was so badly disfigured, folk would cross themselves when they saw him. I was afraid of him myself as a boy.”
“Was he wounded in war?”
“No. He was born that way. You see, his mother, Countess Barbora of Hagwitz, didn’t want to marry Wilhelm’s father – my grandfather’s brother. And she never wanted to bear his children. So when she fell pregnant, they say she went to a witch to get rid of the child. Only she ended up having quintuplets!”
“What? All at the same time?”
It was Henry who had suddenly spoken up from behind the two; the young man had rather gasped, but Hans certainly couldn’t say he didn’t share the shock.
“Jesus Christ!” Hans said, shaking his head, and felt his bones chill at the mere thought of having to push out five whole babes.

hansry is sometimes misrepresented by fans as a lord x knight romance when in actuality henry is of a much lesser status and i think that dynamic is equally intriguing if not more. while henry could in theory be MADE a knight for his service over the course of the games, his bio father may be a knight, and he is kind of in something like military service to his lord, he is a commoner. so the power imbalance that (coupled with the sense of devotion) makes the lord x knight dynamic so intriguing is even more pronounced, especially in intensely hierarchical medieval society. hans isn't treating another member of the titled, landed elite like an equal behind closed doors, not letting another noble into his bed. he's letting the village blacksmith's son - who, as of a few months ago, was illiterate, had no formal education, had (to his knowledge) nothing beyond a passing secondhand business relationship with the nobility, and no expectations of ever leading a life more complicated than marrying a girl from skalitz and spending his days making horseshoes- into his bed, and his confidence. that Hans sees Henry as something like his equal, in some way, as shown when telling Henry about Galehaut and Lancelot, is soooo. first of all, improper. second of all 😏
Radzig whistled as he wandered through the corridor towards the chapel in Pirkstein; he was neither surprised or impressed to find the door locked. Again.
Sighing, he knocked calmly yet firmly on the door, "I know you're in there. Make yourself decent and present yourself."
Sure enough, after some fumbling and hushed comments, his rather dishevelled son, Henry appeared behind a crack in the door, clearly in a state of undress. He ran a hand through his unkempt hair, feigning confidence.
"Father..."
"Henry..." Radzig replied with a single nod of disappointment. Really, a chapel of all places, the lad had no shame.
"I was just..." Henry hesitated as he speedily tried to think of some excuse. When nothing came to him, he ended up blurting out, "showing the serving girl how to kneel before God."
"I see," he didn't ask. He didn't want to know. Radzig did know, however, and he was fully aware that the person in the chapel with Henry was no more a serving girl than he was, "your presence is requested."
"Okay well...you don't need to wait for me," Henry smiled awkwardly, moving to shut the door once again, "I'll...be on my way shortly."
Radzig managed to wedge his foot in the door before Henry could close it fully. He narrowed his eyes and raised his voice ever so slightly, "if you happen to see Lord Capon on your journey, inform him his presence is also required."
"Yes, father," Henry suddenly let out a yelp of spin, quickly shaking his head, "I mean, of course, I doubt I'll see him but I'm sure he will receive the message."
Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, Radzig led the young men to argue amongst themselves as they hastily tried to make themselves presentable.
out of everyone in this scene, only the two most important people in yasha's life blink. look at beau and molly's eyes. everyone else’s are static. i love when animators leave easter eggs like this; it's a detail that's easy to miss but otherwise significant if you know the campaign lore.
this small detail in and of itself tells me that the writers won't cut corners developing yasha and molly's friendship, despite their reduced time together. i’m curious to see how her relationship develops with beau too, given that yasha will be sticking around with the group for a while, allowing them to have more consistent interactions.
