‼️ BAD BATCH SPOILER EP.3 ‼️
You guys think Crosshair put on his helmet after this scene so that Rampart and the other clones wouldn’t see him crying?
COMMANDER CODY COME BACK I’M SCARED
“Omega listen to me. Please, You have to let it go.”
… yeah, wonder how many times he’s told himself that ever since he was freed from Skako Minor.
*sobs* Plz let him be happy Filoni
THEORY
The Mandalorian that saved Din Djarin as a kid considered Din to be his foundling and made sure that Din was eventually given his silvery helmet.
Now, Din is doing the same thing for his own foundling by turning his beskar staff into an armor for Grogu.
“As a Mandalorian foundling, he should have this. It’s his right.”
AM I HEARING THINGS OR WAS THAT THE MANDALORIAN THEME AT THE END
YOU AREN'T HEARING THINGS
HERE COMES THE BOOOOOOY
YASSSSSS I LITERALLY SCREAMED
DIN DJARIN WE HAVE MISSED YOU
Morning y’all!
I’m just popping in her to drop this lil Fett Sibling parallel for you… something to think about 👀
Unfortunately I don’t have time to write about my theory related to these scenes now but I’ll try and do it later!
Boba is looking at the only family he ever had as a kid: Jango… Omega, on the other hand, never had anybody else but herself before she joined TBB. Boba wanted to go in his father’s footsteps and that was his future, but Omega was an experiment - the test tube is the only future she knew before TBB saved her.
I have been on the cusp of a Legendary™ meltdown today and so to negate said effects I'm spiraling into my lil Bad Batch AU(canon divergence?) where they get Crosshair back but in doing so everyone except Omega and Crosshair die. Enjoy an excerpt from some point in the timeline.
"I can get my things."
She turns and starts back up the ramp, shoulders slumped and worn little boots dragging against the cold metal.
Panic rises from the sickening weight in his stomach. She can't possibly think he's abandoning her? She can't assume he's dumping her off like unwanted cargo? It's not true. She can't think that. She can't make her decision thinking that.
He reaches out blindly. He means to grab her arm but he catches her hand instead. He's struck by how tiny it is. The way her fingers close so easily within his own. How effortless it would be for him to snap them with a simple flick of his wrist. That thought scares him into letting her go but to his relief she stays, turning back to peer curiously down at him.
"You don't need too." He says quickly. She frowns and he resists the urge to reach up and pull at his own hair. Hunter had always said conversation wasn't his strength. He just wishes now wasn't the time his weakness had to rear it's ugly head.
"I mean you don't have to go." He says. His voice has gone quiet and it takes him a moment to recognize it as his own. Omega cocks her head. Sweet brown eyes stare painfully deep into his and he has to look away.
"Do you want me to stay?" She asks.
"I want you to be happy." He says.
That's a lie.
He needs her to stay. No one else knows how it feels to live with the memory of Hunter's warm smile. No one else will miss Tech's annoying lectures on useless information. No one else has to shake with the need for Wrecker's painfully tight hugs. No one else will ever imagine the ghostly memory of Echo's footsteps clanking against the Marauder's metal floor in the dead of the sleep cycle.
No one except her, the little girl that had lived and breathed with them, could possibly understand how desperately he misses them.
And probably, he thinks, because of it he needs her far more than she needs him.
Beautifully written, and equally as painful… 🥲
The Making of The Empire Strikes Back
Hi guys!
Random The Bad Batch related thought a Tuesday (afternoon, for me) like this:
We all know that Clone 99 was assigned the job as maintenance clone on Kamino due to his “defectiveness”. Now, do we know if there were any other clones considered “disabled” or “not fit to continue as soldiers”? We know that The Bad Batch was genetically enhanced clones (later viewed upon as “genetically defective clones” by The Empire), but that’s not what I’m referring to in this case. Rather, I’m referring to clones who were hurt in battle and suffered from consequences such as amputation, PTSD, etc… Pardon my nerd-brain while I let it roam freely here for a little while:
We can probably come up with at least a hundred different reasons to why Echo decided to join The Bad Batch instead of staying with Rex and the 501st. Some of those reasons/theories might for example be that Echo couldn’t stay with the 501st because it would remind him too much of Fives, that he simply felt too different compared to the rest of the clones and thus worried that he wouldn’t be accepted, or he decided to join The Bad Batch because they all reminded him of his original squad - Domino Squad. I love those theories and I find it very interesting to read them all! But still, what if there is another explanation? Echo wouldn’t be alone in the 501st, he would be with Rex and Cody… and I swear that both Kix and Jesse would gladly befriend their old friend (and brother) Fives’s lost brother… so Echo wouldn’t be alone after all. So, why did he go?
Maybe Echo knew something which we do not yet know? What if Echo, in that moment, remembered how some of his “disabled” clone brothers had been treated when they were no longer of any use as soldiers to the Republic? Maybe he remembered one of those times he and Fives saw the terror in their wounded brothers’ faces as they realized that their days as soldiers were over? Because they all knew what was waiting for them… Or, maybe it was the fact that they didn’t know that scared them the most.
So, what if Echo knew that in order for him to continue as a soldier, or even survive at all, he needed to be with a squad, and with a leader, that wouldn’t exclude him because of his history? Although I’m sure Echo literally trusts Rex with his life, he knows that Rex can’t protect him against the Republic… at least not forever. Maybe, since Echo was a prisoner of war with the separatists during the incident on Umbara, he saw a report/ collected data from the Separatist Forces stationed on Umbara and realized that if not even Rex could stop something like that from happening, then how would he ever be able to stop them from putting one single soldier out of order? And even if he would manage to protect Echo by reminding the Republic of the valuable information Echo collected during his time at Skako Minor, what would happen to him when he could no longer give them any new information? …When his value as “informant” no longer mattered to them?
In the end, what if one of the biggest reasons Echo went with The Bad Batch was because with them… he knew he would be safe from The Republic?

Crosshair: You're lucky you're so cute! Otherwise, I would've sold you to the freak show already.
Omega: What's a freak show?
Tech: It's like our squad, but people pay to see it.

Echo and Omega practicing her shooting skills back at CID’s parlor: (in a scenario where Fives is alive and well 🥲)
ECHO: Okay ‘Mega, what do I always tell you?
OMEGA: *counting on her fingers* Make sure my bow, arrow and form are tuned, don’t release the arrow too quickly and tune out distractions!
ECHO: *smiling* Very good! Sounds like you’ve been doing your homework…
OMEGA: Do ARC-troopers have to tune out distractions too?
ECHO: Well, after a while you just get used to doing it. As a trooper you’re exposed to lots of things that can mess with your concentration…
FIVES: *enters the parlor, carrying a box of mantel mix and wearing a ridiculous hat he bought because he thought it looked funny* Uncle Fives’s back!!
ECHO: *no reaction*
OMEGA: …
ECHO: …As I was saying, you get used to it after a while.
I love them so much
(I still believe that there’s a chance Fives’s alive though… o.o )
Can someone ask Dave Filoni about the CT Numbers of Bad Batch? 🤔
If it’s not important to the story line, maybe they can reveal it 😭 🙏
