also, there’s the thing with remus’s case which has professor r.j. lupin “stamped across one corner in peeling letters” implying that it’s pretty old and falling apart so he didn’t just purchase it when he got the job to teach at hogwarts

and unless he worked as a professor somewhere in that missing 11-year period (which is pretty unlikely as we know he worked jobs mostly below his skill level) that means that he had that during the first war or even hogwarts

i’d like to think this means that someone (PROBABLY sirius or james tbh) sarcastically bought him a case with “professor r.j. lupin” printed on it and he still has it and now he is finally a professor and neither of them are there to make fun of him for it

can you imagine the conversations remus and sirius would have when they were both tired? like after a full moon, sirius would be sitting next to remus’ bed in the hospital wing staring into space and blinking slowly.

IT IS CHRISTMAS I WANT CHRISTMAS HEADCANNONS FOR WOLFSTAR PLEASE I LOVE YOU

sirius lamenting sixth year how his parents never gave him the christmas presents he asked for as a kid, instead receiving an ancient dark arts book or cursed object when he wanted muggle toys he overheard andromeda talk about and trying to sound casual about it

sirius receiving a red and gold bicycle that year from remus

remUS DINKING ON THAT RED AND GOLD BIKE STILL IN HIS PYJAMAS AND THEY RIDE THROUGH THE SNOW (remus charmed the bike before hand to repel and plow the snow)

wanting to make their final christmas at hogwarts sigNIFICANT so they spike the eggnog and just end up hungover when unwrapping presents the next morning (but remus’ bed had severe scorch marks and there seemed to be a flock of flamingos in the bathroom so they concluded it must have been a good christmas eve)

all of the “be a good boy or you won’t get any presents” innuendoes  in the lead up to christmas

sirius making the mistake of telling james the new quidditch gloves where from him and remus and james is instantly JOINT PRESENTS??? PETER DID THEY GIVE YOU A JOINT PRESENT TOO? ARE BOTH OF THEIR NAMES ON THE CARD? DID THEY CROSS IT OFF WITH KISSES? IS THERE A FAMILY PORTRAIT?

(we all know the inspiration for that last dot point)

fifth year they are caught snuggling together under the christmas tree set up in the common room. they fell asleep when remus convinced sirius he’d read something about pixies burrowing in the bottom of christmas trees and he wanted to have a look
