Jerejean 70s rockstar AU 🎙️ A Little Left of Heaven: Volume One - Regicide, Volume Two - Good Times Bad Times and Volume Three - The Song Remains The Same are now all entirely complete!
this was a labour of love and I did a lot of research — if you ever want to ask me about historical notes, yap about the story or the setting or writing or music, then you know where to find me. if you’ve been with this story since the beginning — i love you. if you’re just discovering it — i love you.
catalina alvarez: there’s nothing more amusing than a dog panting for attention
jeremy, looking away from a freshly showered jean who’s towel drying his wet hair, to see jab snoring in a corner: why are you making fun of the sleepy boy?

“Mean Girls or Zombieland?” Jeremy asks, holding up two DVDs. Jean frowns.
“Are those my only two options?”
“Yes,” Jeremy says, with a liars’ grin.
Jean shrugs, taking his spot on the couch and acquiescing to Mean Girls. Jeremy takes the other end of the couch, and Cat stretches out on the floor on her belly. Laila hovers, perching on the arm of the couch by Jeremy through the opening credits, and then she gets up and bends down, kissing Cat on the top of her head, saying, “I’m going to go to bed and read for a while.”
“Sleep well,” Jean murmurs.
Jeremy echoes the goodnight. He brings his feet up onto the couch, curling up against the arm. Jean watches him from the corner of his eye; watches him curl up tight, trying not to take up space. He stretches his own long legs out and shifts his eyes back to the TV. Jeremy doesn’t do well if he thinks he’s being scrutinised. Jeremy is asleep before the insufferable main character even has her makeover moment.
Near the end of the movie Laila comes bounding out of her bedroom, wide-eyed and wide awake. “This was a mistake,” she says. “That book was wild, I can’t sleep now.”
Jean shushes her gently. Jeremy is asleep, on his back with his legs over Jean’s thighs and one arm cast across his face. In sleep, he loses the mask of coping he always puts on, even in front of them; his dark circles are obvious, and when they’re slack with sleep, his cheeks are slightly hollow in that way that says he’s probably forgetting to eat again. Jean very gently lifts Jeremy’s legs and slips out from under him.
“Sorry,” Laila says, eyeing Jeremy over the back of the couch.
Jeremy makes a noise and attempts to sit up; Jean presses his palm gently to the middle of his chest, pushing him back down.
“It’s okay,” he murmurs. “Go back to sleep.” He tilts his head in the direction of the kitchen and the girls nod. If Jeremy sleeps eight hours on their couch, well, at least it’s eight more than he would have otherwise gotten.
Jeremy is already asleep again by the time Jean and the girls reach the kitchen.
biblically long jerejean 3 and it’s all my pathetic little meow meow jeremy getting beat to shit emotionally and my angel baby princess problematic king jean still wanting to be his boyfriend
Jeremy Knox turns 5 and there is too much birthday cake. Pointy hats, a trampoline and an immeasurable amount of gifts. His mother scolds his grandmother for making such a fuss and Angelica Laslo, former movie star, brushes her off with a "you only turn 7 once!" His older brother steals Jeremy's brand new Hot Wheels and his sister sneaks the frosting rose off his corner piece of cake and his youngest brother spits up his own cake on his blue baby onesie. His dad doesn't show
Jeremy Knox turns 11 and there's no time for a party. It's an election year. His mom's new-husband's father is a senator dreaming of a presidential nomination and every minute counts. Even though its only March. Isn't Jeremy too old for parties anyway? His oldest brother gives him 12 punches; one for each year and one for luck but the last one hurts. He watches his favorite movie with his sister and his younger brothers make him construction paper cards. His dad doesn't show.
Jeremy Knox turns 18 and he's high. Bryson gave him the pills last night with a "Happy Birthday" and a twisted smile that didn't feel genuine. His mother and sister might've wished him a "Happy Birthday" when he left for school but he doesn't remember. His youngest brother refused to get out of bed this morning, no matter how much his step father screamed through the door. Jeremy's sure that took priority. His dad doesn't show.
Jeremy Knox turns 19 and his youngest brother never will. Mathilda doesn't say anything. Annalise doesn't say anything. Joshua doesn't say anything. Trent Knox doesn't show.
Jeremy Knox turns 20
Jeremy Knox turns 21
Jeremy Knox turns 22
Jeremy Knox turns 23 and there's too much birthday cake. Cat insisted they make a 3-layer cake from scratch and Laila could only find 9-inch pans at the store. The frosting is blue. The stack of three presents on the dining room table are all wrapped in blue wrapping paper. Jean's shirt is blue. "Your favorite color," Jean says. Cat cuts Jeremy a slice that would have even the Trojan's flexible nutritionist wince. The girls sing and Jeremy swears he hears Jean humming along. Later, the floozies join them. There's more cake and a movie and silly-joke birthday cards full of puns that make Jeremy laugh.
Jeremy turns 23 and Jean asks him "Good Birthday?"
And his smile is big and bright and real when he says "Yes"
thank you for the tag @anxiouslyandmessily and PLEASE everyone ignore how long it actually took me to do this 🫣

bodyguard x brat 2.0 featuring actor Jeremy and bodyguard Jean
roadtrip; post-wilshire fall out, Jeremy has to get out and get away. Jean’s not going to let him go alone
and that’s it for the moment! i have, of course, been locked in on my 70s band au for like a year now — but that baby is now complete 🥹
thinking thoughts about a jerejean hunger games au. like second book of the og trilogy au, third quarter quell where the tributes are reaped from the existing pool of victors. where jeremy is the finnick archetype using sex and secrets in the capitol as a commodity, all the while keeping jean, his annie, who has been through even more than most of them, a secret to keep him safe. and then they’re both reaped but instead of their mags, rhemann, volunteering for jean, he volunteers for rhemann. he’s got to protect his jeremy.
and then who is reaped from twelve? those star-crossed lovers who set this all in motion, that prickly shithead neil and his beefcake with heart boyfriend andrew, and they’ve got this plan that’s sounding seditious at best and dangerously close to outright rebellion at worst.
and the odds are never in their favour, but jeremy will do anything if it means jean has a chance at a better life. at freedom.
a little left of heaven, volume three: the song remains the same is now releasing 🎸 70s jerejean band au with all the yearning and bell-bottoms you could ever want.
