just saw a Reddit post from a woman who had a memorial tattoo dedicated to her childhood friend turned high school sweetheart who died unexpectedly at the age of 20. her new boyfriend said that it’s weird and makes him feel “disrespected” and makes him feel like she’s not over her ex and suggested she should get it removed. the top comment said “it’s fine that it bothers him but he shouldn’t demand you remove it” I just want to say no, it’s not fine that it bothers him and if you find yourself jealous of your new girlfriend’s dead longterm boyfriend, you should get a fucking grip. got beef with a dead kid? mad that your girlfriend still thinks about her prom date who died a tragic premature death? loserrrrrr.

not everyone is mature enough to date someone who has had a major relationship end in death. it is extremely unreasonable to expect your S/O to be ‘over’ their dead partner, they did not fall out of love and break up, they were parted by death so there is still love and it is complicated by grief. it would be different if he was upset she kept comparing him to her dead ex but he was simply uncomfortable knowing she had loved someone and lost him and had his name tattooed on her body. which is a sign of deep insecurity and a controlling nature.

So August is over! I didn’t get all the days but I’m pretty happy with what I did. From what I learned from it I feel I enjoy painting over line work. And to actually get work done I need to assigned myself homework lol. And gifs are fun to make

For September I’m planning on just focusing on fundamentals and getting ready for Inktober and focusing on my N7 day painting :)
