I think I hate Bychance for the same reason I hate epilogue boyfriend - Chance is a character we know nothing about and who has really no personality or relationship with Will!

Same with epilogue boyfriend! It's like Will doesn't get to have a love interest who is characterised beyond being attractive and who he has a complex/deep relationship with.

And Mike is right!!! there!!! The best friend who he's been in love with since forever! Who shares his interests and understands him in a way that only comes from years of knowing one another.
