Domestic dispute in public
I think we need to discuss what The Hex looks like from The Scaldra side given they have no clue of anything regarding Warframes.
January 12th 1999, Viktor Vodyanoi is baffled that 50+ new members joined The Hex litterally overnight.
He has no idea which of them, if any, are the Drifter Nightingale keeps talking to on the coms.
Oh my god this idea is so funny
Honestly go read the tags and reblogs yourself because it's hysterical, here's my thanks for making me almost piss myself
Thank you for this addition but now every time anyone in my friend group plays Dante we yelled "BOSS THERE'S A FUCKING WIZARD!"
I do this when I play on my own too. Truly this post haunts me
I AM FUCKING HAUNTED

GIGGLING KICKING MY FEET HAHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAGAHAAA
Ok so i saw a post mentioning how Spindlehorse was hiring animators again, and i thought "huh yknow im really curious what the turnover rate of animators is in this studio" because i mean its a genuine question considering how i swear theyre hiring new animators every other week
So then i checked IMDB...
Before i go on i wanna put some context because its kinda needed for what im about to say:
On IMDB there's a section of the cast and crew page labeled "Series Animation Department". This is the section meant primarily for animators and storyboarders among other jobs in the same vein.
Now. Can you guess how many animators/storyboarders Helluva Boss has gone through in less than 2 seasons?
444.
That is four hundred and forty-four individual credits, a majority of whom didn't stay for any longer than a few episodes. I have never in my life seen an animator turnover rate this skewed.
But i saw this and i went "well it cant be that bad right, what about other shows?" because admittedly i didnt know a lot about animation so for all i knew this was normal. So i went to the IMDB pages of other animated shows
RWBY: 164 credited animators over 9 seasons
Murder Drones: 11 Animators over 7 episodes
The Owl House: 88 Animators over 3 seasons
Amphibia: 73 over 3 seasons
Steven Universe: 44 over 5 seasons
And just to be fair let's include Hazbin Hotel, which had 62 in 1 season
This means that for one reason or another Helluva Boss has gone through more animators in less than 2 seasons than shows that ran for SIGNIFICANTLY longer go through in their entire lifespan by several times and that astounds me
Hey guys! Reminder that hazbin hotel has a considerably big amount of uncredited animators (which currently are struggling to find jobs BECAUSE of the lack of crediting, giving them no way to prove their work oficially), which means that there's a huge change that helluva boss ALSO has that! More info on lack of crediting that I'm aware of: The only thing credited was the studio, and it was credited as "extra animation" when the studio did in fact animate the whole episode. None of the individual animators had their name mentioned in the credits therefore making them not be shown in IMDb as "part of the crew", and making it impossible to the team that worked on the credited studio to add that to their portfolio. This is only one instance of the lack of crediting btw! Not the first time and probably not the last.
hey guys! you don't understand how the animation industry works. Let me just post some explanations from an animator I know, who has actually worked on HB, along with some Disney and PBS shows (show names/episode numberss redacted for extra privacy):
They are trying to compare more established classic studio shows with an indie freelance show. Helluva Boss is freelance and the work is not constant, you get small chunks of it which means it's more of a side gig. The vast majority of people I worked with had full-time jobs and did HB on the side. This means that people just pick up a few scenes here and there
So as a result you're going to get a lot of people coming and going, doing a little work on one episode, maybe none on another. That'll lead to a lot more people coming in and out.
When I was working on episodes of S2, I wasn't constantly working. They'd give me a batch of scenes and I might knock them out in a week or less, and then might not have more scenes for a week depending on how the pipeline was moving.
Also you'll get a lot of newer animators who overestimate/have poor work ethic and because we're all working from home, they might not complete their shots on time or struggle with time management. There is no in-person studio, we have to manage ourselves. So I'm willing to bet sometimes they'd hire on animators who couldn't complete their assignments, and others would have to take over
To compare a work-from-home indie production with Owl House, Amphibia, and Steven Universe (large traditional decades old studios) is absolutely bonkers and speaks to how little these people know of the industry
Also I'm calling BS on the uncredited work, they ping us all and send us the credit list in advance and ask us to ensure our names were there and spelled correctly
I literally got NO credit for working on Disney TV shows so these people truly do not know wtf they're talking about
Actually just based on that final point -- I'm willing to bet Steven Universe et. al have a ton of uncredited people... which is why it looks like such a 'small' group of people worked on it. (you certainly didn't count all the overseas animators!)
IMDB is not accurate to who worked on what either, so using it to 'count' a crew is ridonculous (IMDB data is mostly user-contributed and not fact-checked)
IMDB credits are added in two ways I know of: Someone who wants to be very thorough manually adds ALL the credits from the end of an episode. If nobody does that, then people have to add themselves individually
I never created my imdb page, it was magically there was waiting for me because someone added the Helluva Boss episodes and added all the credits which included my name. But PBS TV Show, nobody has added the credits for the recent episodes so I had to go in and add myself manually if I wanted it to be in the imdb database. And for Disney TV Show, I added myself to imdb but have to add I'm "uncredited"
so to sum it up, it's not shady or malicious or extremely poor/unethical work conditions like the notes are wildly guessing at!
It's indie animation with no physical studio, so it's a LOT of people working away independently at little pieces. Animation is a HUGE iceburg, and for most companies you only get to see a tiny tiny fragment of the artists involved!
everybody hates a shady business, but don't go spreading rumors about entirely normal industry practices
if you are ACTUALLY concerned about people working in animation/the state of the animation industry please go out and support TAG (The Animation Guild) and follow #ripcartoonnetwork and #StayTooned

FYI narcissism is a disorder, not a word you use to describe any bad/toxic behaviour you see. It’s like saying “I’m so OCD🤪👉🏼👈🏼”
Just don’t.
It's a trauma disorder specifically. No person with NPD got that way without experiencing childhood trauma. No person with antisocial personality disorder got that way without childhood trauma. If you care about mental health and traumatized people but you talk about narcissists and "sociopaths" like they're inherently evil and not human beings with trauma disorders, you have growth to do.
vexed by how Violently Green the green monster ultra is
this is radioactive green. this looks like the sort of thing you’d drop a guy in so they’d get superpowers or something. if i put a snail in here it’d come out with three eyes. this is what made the hulk green.

image 2: alhaitham, once again crossing his arms, speaks to dehya, traveler, paimon, and cyno in sumeru city. he is depicted saying a tumblr post by user lionfloss that reads, “one thing about me is I’m gonna go home.” this is the same scene in the archon quest where dehya asks alhaitham for encouragement and he says that if they’re asking for his opinion he personally would want to go home.
image 3: alhaitham speaks to a furiously speechless kaveh outside a house in sumeru city. he is depicted speaking a tumblr post by quixoticanarchy that says, “i didn’t miss that social cue i just thought it was stupid.” he is wearing a white keffiyeh with teal patterns on it, a black thobe in place of his usual undershirt (it still has an opening for the gem in his chest though), and a teal patterned folded sash that goes over his shoulder and helps hold his cape in place.

It’s literally a sea serpent. If I was an old timey sailor I’d shit my jeans. (Jeans were invented in 1873)
that looks like a fin whale, and jsyk, they are approximately VERY large
