"Simon, please— please just look at her..."

The crack in Ryland’s voice nearly broke him all over again. Simon know that no matter how hard he tried he was no match against the tone of his omega's voice clearly threaded with desperation. With a heavy heart, he did as they asked. Through watering eyes, Simon looked at the faintly squirming infant in Grace's arms and felt as if the air had been punched directly from his chest because she was smiling at him. It was just a tiny thing, her little face perking up even more, her big blue eyes wide and her the apples of her cheeks bright. She had a head of dark, healthy, gently curling hair bouncing on top of her head. Simon's breath caught. It was true that some of her skin seeming a little translucent which made worry curl low in his belly once again, but he pushed it away enough to focus on the fact that she was smiling. Her smile was so gummy. She didn’t have the rows of knife-point teeth in her tiny mouth that he had pictured all the times he lost himself in his head. There were a few little points sure but they were so tiny and sparodic.

Simon had to blink the tears from his eyes as his vision blurred.

She giggled and her round little baby teeth glinted under the artificial light.

Delightful little sounds to Simon’s ringing ears. Her gums looked a little irritated, but...she seemed happy.

Simon sobbed. She looked so much healthier than the last time he'd seen her. When none of them knew if she would make it and Simon didn't know how to help. Didn't even know how to help himself. Finally Simon's face crumpled and suddenly he wasn't able to stop himself from reaching for her. His eyes felt so hot, the tears burning down his face. She was just a baby. All Pudgy arms and raindrop belly, even if her lower half seemed to be sporting a tail under her little sleep-suit Rocky and Adrian helped make for her.

Her wriggling increased the closer he got as if excited and Simon's eyes grew blurry with his adoration for her and his hatred of himself. He hated himself for still daring to want to hold her with his dirty, unclean, hands.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Terra was a deathwold and no one was allowed to go there. And yeah it was gone now, but it still needed to be said. The logs are scrubbed, but there are still pieces of data that remain and the main part that needs to be paid attention to is that...Terra is a deathworld and Terrans are deathworlders. Dangerous. Apparently, according to those logs there was an...incident...long ago. A terrible incident that took the lives of multiple dimplomacy envoys and unintentionally fascilitated the assimilation of tech that lead to terrans accelerating their advancement into space. It was an apt display of their intelligence and potential, but also solidified their enduring reputation as unreasonable creatures that were to be left undisturbed until such a time that they had developed enough to be reasoned with. Needless to say The Galactic Alliance was horrified by the brutality of sentient creatures and they felt that their decision was the correct one. For the greater good of all. So, Terra was always off limits. The stars dying in their sector was unexpected and came much much later, the affliction spreading across the system like a disease. By then terrans had just begun to try make their advancement sinto space, terraforming their neighboring planets, but the stars. The stars dying made everything unravel. Many would have called it karma, but the affliction would have spread to everything if the galaxy’s greatest minds hadn’t managed to begin combating it. And the Terrans? Well, first there were many...and then there were barely any at all. Quarantined. Hidden. Forgotten. Left to fight amongst themselves and die in darkness. Their species dwindling. Which is why when Simon, formerly of Eden, formerly a prisoner of the COI, and formerly an unwilling pilot of the SM-13 is snatched from the the winding markets of a massive port planet by smugglers after getting seperated from his partner, the smugglers of course think that they have stuck gold. Simon, even with all his injuries and mutations, is a rare sight indeed. There's actually nothing rarer than a Terran, so the smugglers just take him, incapacitate him, bind him. They don't question how a Terran is this far out. They don't question why he seems for all intents and purposes well fed and well clothed despite the worn appearance of his everything. They just know that they've found their new fighter for the ring. They have no idea that they are about to bite off more than they could ever hope to chew.
