this month is cool, but mostly for me its just cool online and with a very select few friends. being at my front-facing job now for a few, the month + the ppl skipping over me, talking over me, or disregarding me bc they think im a straight girl (???) has been very disheartening... doesnt matter if my voice is deeper bc of years on T. doesnt matter if my nametag has a traditionally masculine name. small acts of transphobia (and misogyny, given ppl read me as a girl) has been compounding in very tiring ways recently.

i am very proud to be a gay transman. but outside of the safe sphere ive worked hard catering for myself, in the big bad IRL; ppl do not treat me as my identity. especially not gay men... theyre some of the most transphobic/misgonistic ppl ive had the displeasure of meeting. if ur a cis gay man and the shoe doesnt fit you, then this isnt about you - do not take this as an invite to say "but im not like-"... the disregard is made that much more blatant bc i dont follow the binary and i like to lean towards a cuter wardrobe - theyre always treating me like shit. if they know i use he/him they just straight up misgender me or ignore that and treat me like "one of the girls". if they dont know my pronouns then of course im automatically a girl and they treat me with disdain vs how they treat my cis gay coworker (or the cis men around me in general). its so fucking blatant.

o<-< im just tired man. ppl come up to me irl and say "happy pride" but its not celebrating with me, its just at me - bc theyve already written me off as not apart of the queer community... just reinforcing my "thank god i have fiction bc at least then i can make the fem transman gay romance that i wana see happen". just sad and tired v_v happy pride remember to be nice to everybody and dont disclude ppl just because they dont jump out at u immediately as queer.......
