a good third of my last chapter of TNW was about Bruce and Clark going to see Joker (and I think it turned out great) but I just opened my outline to prepare for this week’s chapter and burst out laughing because this was my “outline” for that scene:

I love listening to audiobooks (and reading but mostly audiobooks in this case) and hearing those little cues that the author is definitely a fanfic writer, too, or like started as one.

Yeah some of em are kinda fic meme phrases ("his throat bobbed" twice in two paragraphs) and some of em are more abstract (dialogue styles, pacing, etc), but I love it because I know the author is so passionate about writing and creating.
