Female Soilders Challlenge Military Over Policy Barring Women From Combat
Women are living in a man’s world regardless what year it is or what country they live in. Today women are still fighting for equal opportunity especially in the military. Women are still challenging the policy that women cannot fight in combat. The policy of barring women from combat limits the career opportunities for women basically they will never be ranked high in command that a man who has served his country and has been in combat. Gender is a big issue in the military because they will accept women because the laws made them do it but before the military was just for men. It seems like women were never suppose to be in the military but there are women that want to be a part of protecting and serving this country just like men. There should not be a problem for women wanting to be in combat they want to show everyone that they can do things just as men can. By women joining the military it crosses their mine that they will be expected to fight since they learn combat training in boot camp but it turns they do not get to be in combat. This article is important for everyone to know since if a woman would like to join the military they need to know they have to work ten times harder than a man to become higher rank then he is. Women should know that if they want to be in combat most likely it will not happen so it could change their mine. This article discouraged my interest in joining the military because regardless of what kind of education I have or experience I will never be equal to have the same opportunity to as a man in the military.
