Tell Me True
Tell Me True is a series of interviews that I did for a forum based RP(writing) site. I actually like how some of these turned out.

Title: Tell Me True
~*Horror*~
Night covered everything in it's splendor like a blanket. Spring still had it's grasp on the world. Everything was in bloom and in the light of day, lovely. Outside thunder boomed and lightening flashed. Mother nature was getting her groove on. I directed my rental car towards the house. The other homes still had lights on families sitting down to a late dinner or watching a movie as a family while outside mother nature let out her fury. Within the last month I had moved in with my boyfriend. A new state and a new place. There were still things that made me nervous and this was on my mind as I drove to the dark house at the edge of the neighborhood. That of course wasn't the only thing on my mind. I thought about the man, the being, creature I was about to interview. He was not the type I would have suspected to allow this, especially in the comfort of his solitude. He allowed none to his fortress and yet he had allowed me. Lex, the protective gentleman he was offered to accompany me. He was a protector at heart, especially towards women. Vampires didn't bug him. He did well around them and could keep his head. I wouldn't want anyone else at my back in a room full of vamps. Except of course "Death's Right Hand" or Mad Dog. Mick was an excellent executioner and a pretty scary man when you got him mad enough. Thinking about them I smiled. It eased me slightly. They had the kind of charm that made them hard not to like.
The street I was on grew darker and I knew it was his power and not a natural occurrence. It was his buffer to keep visitors away. It worked too. I found myself wanting to turn around. But I kept on until I was stopped in his drive way. I killed the engine and stared at the old Victorian that made one wonder if it housed the Addams family and not the ancient Celt who lived within. I grabbed my bag and got out. I didn't bother locking the car or taking the keys. No one would think of taking anything on this property. I didn't have cover from the onslaught of rain, never really cared for it. My flats were quiet on the wet cement. I didn't wear heels as I usually would have knowing my nerves would have made me unsteady. The last thing I wanted was to fall on my face before or after my interview.
The door bell gave a loud echoing chime that rang throughout the belly of the house and could be heard even from where I stood. The door was opened and I was hit with cold fury. The man before me wasn't angry at me, but anger bled through every pore. He was a large intimidating man massive in both height and build. He was every inch the warrior he had once been. Pale white blue eyes stared down at me from a masculine face framed by waist length black hair. In flats I barely came up to the top of his broad chest.
"Welcome a chroi." He said in a deep haunting voice. It always made me think that if you bottled that you could sell it to Hollywood and make a fortune.
I stepped into his home and smiled. "Thank you for having me Horror."
He bowed his head respectfully while he directed me towards his lovely sitting room. "You are always welcome here." He said as he lowered that large frame into a chair. It was hard not to feel small in his presence, even sitting. He waited patiently as I got everything in order for the interview. I turned to him once I was ready. "Alright I think we can get this underway now. Have you found things to be different here in Miami?" I wanted to try and keep it as neutral as possible, I knew how he was about his past.
H: Aye, for the most part. But then both cultures are somewhat different. Though as for the more vampire culture, Viktor is traditional though not as formal as I am used to.
L: Have you found yourself to be homesick yet?
H: *theres the slightest twinkling in those white blue eyes that I'm sure no one has ever seen* No a chori I am not.
L: So you are certainly content with calling Miami your home.
H: Aye, I was very much ready for a change and I find Miami to be perfect thus far.
L: Have you met many of the other vampires of the kiss yet?
H: *shaking his head* No at this time only two females and a male. Trinity is one of my blood, a lovely female and Angioletto, *something flashed in his eyes too quick for me to catch* a female of the Dragon's line. The male Eric is of that same line.
He didn't really go into depth about the meetings with each of them and I didn't press. Horror was the type of male that if he didn't elaborate, you should continue down that path. So I directed it in a different direction.
L: What has it been like being a vampire? I mean you are 911 right?
H: *bows head* Yes that is correct.
L: That is a long time to be around.
H: It can get hard if you dwell on the past. But I find that looking towards the future helps things from being to bleak. Though I must say, the men of today are not half the caliber that the men of my day were.
I had to nod to that. That was easily agreeable. Men back then were gentlemen, strong fierce warriors with a code of honor and dignity. You look at men today compared to the male sitting across from me and half to wonder what happened. I was about to ask my next question when Horror rose with a bow. "I must apologize my dear. But I think I know where this is going and I cannot talk about that. I do so enjoy your company but I think I must leave to find my pomme." I rose up as he moved towards the door and opened it. The man was wise, very wise. Being that old it wasn't any wonder. "Thank you Horror." He bowed his head and kissed my hand. "You are most welcome a chroi." Walking from that house I wondered just what could have happened to have that man so closed off about his past. I got in my car and sat a while before driving to my next interview.
~*Alexander "Lex" Devereaux*~
I was meeting Lex at a club. It was the polite thing to do as I didn't just want to barge into the streak house without the Chang's invitation and since I had never met Lao, well, meeting him at a club where he was performing was the next best thing. In all honesty it was the best thing. Lex on stage with a guitar was a sight to be seen. The tiger played like he was making love to it. Like he was making love to every person in the room. There was a passion in his playing that I hadn't ever seen before. At least not from any of the bands I'd seen live. I mean come on, the Backstreet Boys didn't exactly play their own intruments. Though U2 was amazing in concert and they made you want to reach up and touch the sky. To move and dance. There was something different with Lex. I parked my car and headed inside after showing my ID at the door.
There he was on stage black hair wild with the face of a Rockstar in the throws of his music. The melody was lovely, the guitar riff perfect. Of course, I'd expect no less from Lex. Covered in tattoos and wearing a short sleeved black work shirt and ripped jeans with converse he looked the part too. I found a table that was close to the stage and watched him. Those lovely yellow-green eyes, the color of his beast but a product of birth as a tiger met mine. I couldn't help the small sigh when he looked at me. Those eyes were captivating and held humor within them as if he walked through life laughing. That signature lopsided grin that was purely Lex crossed his lips. The band finished the song and went on an intermission. Lex put his guitar on a stand and then jumped off the stage. He moved over to the table with the fluid grace only a lycanthrope could muster.
"Hey there peaches. What's doing?" He placed a kiss to my knuckles and sat. The man was a gentleman and that caused many to double take around the hard tattooed biker. "Doing good. You were amazing up there." I couldn't help but say it. He grinned but in that humble way that people did when they were going to wave something off. "Yeah we rocked out pretty good up there." I wanted to correct him and say I was talking about him but I knew he would keep it to the band. That was just how Lex was. You told them he was the best and he would tell you there was someone better. Once I had everything in order I looked up. "So, you ready?" He grinned. "I was born ready baby." After the waitress put a glass of water in front of me and a Grey Goose tumbler in front of him we were ready to go.
L: I hear the streak is now living together, how is that going?
AD: Going good true. Hangin out with Josef and jaming out has been great. Dani is a real sweetheart. Freddy's a cool guy as is Wes. Then there is Scarlett and Morgana, they are sweet girls. And Lao, my beautiful Queen, it's been nice being close to them.
You couldn't help but smile at the way he referred to some of them, especially Lao. He truly was a man of respect, a real gentleman.
L: Have you been helping Dani out?
AD: I've given her a friend to talk to definitely. She definitley needs someone to look out for her and I feel kinda like her older brother true.
L: *nodding* Definitely, that's understandable. Any ladies in your life?
AD: *lopsided grin* Awww peaches you know you're the only one for me. *laughs* Seriously there is a certain female that I find myself attracted to and I think it could be something. But you know I don't kiss and tell.
L: *laughing* Alright stud, I'm just going to have to put up with that then huh?
AD: Yup *grins and suddenly reaches out to take pad and pen. Leans back in chair and crosses leg over the other* My turn.
L: *laughs* Come on Lex, give me the pen and pad back.
AD: Nope. It's my turn. *clears throat* Who do you think is sexier, me or Cyrus?
L: I'm not answering that.
AD: *writes on pad* Me. Who do you think has the best body muscle wise? Me or Thór?
L: Leexxx!
AD: *flexes* I'm serious. *writes again* Me.
L: That was not and answer! Give it back.
AD: Grins. No, that was totally an answer! You answered that and very enthusiastically I might add.
Pretty soon the band came back on and I had to go. I didn't get any of the good questions that I wanted answered answered. But that was Lex for you. I said good bye to him and hoped that I could see him again. I was making my way out when he stopped me. "I don't want you going to see either of them by yourself." I knew who he was talking about. And while I did worry about Zarek, I had no worries about Szadist. "I'll be fine." He shook his head. "Please wait for my set to be finished." It was my turn to shake my head. "I have to meet with Thór after Zarek and that has to be at a certain time. I'll be fine." He frowned hard but let me go with a nod. I left the bar with the cords of his guitar starting the next song.
~*Zarek Slaughter*~
I didn't really know how long this interview was going to be. Me and Zarek never got along. Of course it could have been due to the fact that he was just so damn arrogant. But I often wondered what had gone on to get it that way. What happened that he disliked me so much? I really didn't know and while there were moments I couldn't stand him, I didn't completely dislike him. I was meeting him at one of the Rex's clubs where he was bouncer. Zarek was built good for that. At six foot six and packed with muscle he was the perfect bouncer. Not to mention the fact he just loved a good fight. I entered the club and found him right off.
"Hi Zarek, I hope you're not to busy." He cursed out right. "Shit, It's not time for that interview thing is it?" I sighed. "I can come back another time." He nodded. "Yeah this place is packed. Might be better." There was a harshness in his eyes as he looked back at me. "You might want to head somewhere else female, this place is full of rowdy fighters." Just at that moment a fight broke out and Zarek was off like a shot. I made my way through the crowd and got in my car. Sitting there I looked at the doors to the club. I knew the truth, I was never going to truly be able to sit down with that lion and talk to him.
~*Thór Gudbjartsson*~
My next stop was Valhalla Court, Thór's new restaurant on the Boardwalk. I made my way in once there and told the hostess I was there to see Thór. She led me back to the kitchen and headed back to the front. The smells coming from the back were divine. I found Thór and arranging a plate that was about ready to go out. He lifted his head and smiled. "I knew that was you. You're here early, are you okay?" That deep voice was laced with a thick Icelandic accent. There was worry in those lovely blue eyes as he looked over every inch of me assessing me for any signs of injury. "I'm fine. Didn't happen, club was too busy." I didn't have to tell him what happened he already knew. He nodded his head. "His loss. Hold on." He set the plate up for it to be taken back and came back taking my hand to place a kiss to the knuckles and led me to a cooking station.
He stirred one of the pots and brought the spoon out with some broth on it. "Try this." I did as told with a smile. It tasted perfect. "Oh my go Thór, that's amazing." He beamed. "That's the gravy for the special tonight. Looking at that hard Viking you wouldn't expect cooking to be one of the things he loved. Fighting, maybe. Weapons, maybe. But cooking? That was the last thing you expected. I got right down to business.
L: The place looks good Thór, how did the Grand Opening go?
TG: You never miss a beat do you?
L: *laughs* No.
TG: *chuckles* It went better than I had imagined. The turn out was great.
L: I'm sure you told your family back home, what do they think?
TG: They are proud of me. I mean this has always been a dream. As much as I love being out on fishing boat, I love this too.
L: That reminds me, do you miss it?
TG: Every damn day. There is just something about being out to sea that compares to nothing else.
L: But it's so dangerous, you have to be glad to be on land and not doing something so dangerous right?
TG: You kidding, that was the thrill. That's what I love. It kept you on your toes. It was challenging, you really had to think. This, it's dangerous you know? The ovens we use for bread, one wrong move and you can close a door on your hand. You can cut off a finger. Any job is dangerous. You're never truly safe at work.
L: *nods* Okay, you have a point. So is there a lady in your life?
TG: *side glance while he stirs the gravy before cutting up some salmon* You got a man?
L: *blushes* Yes.
TG: Damn, Guess I was too late with that huh? Nope not yet.
L: Yeah.
The interview had to end soon so that Thór could focus on his cooking. And I left wishing that I wasn't going to be going back home to someone when I was done in Miami. The man in there loved with a fierce passion that I have never known. To be the woman he ended up with, I envied that woman and he hadn't even found her yet. I was stopped half way out. "Let me go with you tomorrow? I don't want you going alone." I sighed. Men and their protective instincts. "I'll be fine." He gave me a stern look and was about to say something when he was called back by a cook. I took that moment to head out.
~*Cyrus Michaels*~
After some much needed rest in Horror's room at the Scarlett Hotel, he was kind enough to let me stay there for the duration of my time in Miami, I headed to North beach homes that weren't far from the hotel. Cyrus lived in a big mansion by the beach. The Greco-Roman style mansion was beautiful and as secure as Fort Knox. No one uninvited was getting into that home. I stopped at the front gate at the middle of the county road and punched in the code he'd given me. The gates opened and I made my way down the rest of the road to his house. It amazed me the size of the home. I'd never been in anything that big, let alone near it.
He was waiting on the front porch when I drove up. I got out of my car and he made his way towards me with a smile. "It's good to see you. How was the drive?" Cyrus was always like that. Looking out for others and seeing that everything was okay. "It was great." He like Thór looked me over from behind those dark glasses I knew it only because I could feel his eyes on me. "It went well last night I assume?" I smiled. "Actually it was cut short, busy night at the club. Lots of fights." Cyrus nodded but I could tell that like Thór he wasn't surprised. "That usually needs full attention." He said with a nod. Having been a former bouncer, he knew all about it. Why the former, he was devoting all his attention to the Pard. We sat at a bench and he waved a hand at the tea in the center. "I know how much you like sweet tea." I smiled and thanked him as I got a glass and settled myself facing him.
L: So how are things going with the pard?
CM: They are going well thank you. Though it's still very much in the beginnings.
L: Are they receiving the idea of you being Nimir-Raj well?
CM: They seem to be. I'm not going to force the issue. But I think they all seem good with it. I know I have a long way before I have full trust but for now no one is opposing.
L: How are things with you and Mia?
CM: Surprisingly well actually. I was afraid that there would be a set back after what happened to me when Terrence captured me but thankfully there wasn't.
L: *smiles* That's good. You two are great together.
CM: *grins* Thank you Luna.
L: You welcome. How about Viktor?
CM: That is a work in progress and one I hope goes just as well as me and my Mia. So far so good.
L: How are the alliances doing?
CM: I am happy to say that they seem to be great. I can't wait to get the leopards in an alliance. It will be good for us. And hopefully once we are able to have stronger leopards, we can protect one of the weaker groups like the swans or something.
L: It sounds like you have hopes that what yall are planning will work.
CM: *nods* I hope so. But then at the moment all we can do is hope.
His phone rang at that moment, a leopard on the other end. The budding leader had to go. He turned to me as he left me at my car and swung a long leg over his hyabusa. "Are you sure you won't let one of us go with you?" I nodded. He shook his head grimly and nodded. "Be careful." I nodded and followed him out of the gate in my car. I directed my car to the outskirts, where there was ample wooded area.
~*Szadist*~
Szadist's shack was located on the outskirts of town. Surprisingly it was fairly close to the Lupanar but he guarded the scent to keep them from finding him. Was it insane to be going out to the middle of the woods to interview and sadistic sociopath? Probably. Was that going to keep me from doing it? Nope. I parked my car and walked the rest of the way through the wooded area. The shack came into view and I made my way to the door. It stood open so I knocked on the frame. "Szadist?" I called out but there was no answer. I knew better than to enter the wolf's territory. You just didn't do that. You had to be careful when dealing with animals, and Sza was an animal in every sense of the word.
A deep chilling voice came to me from the behind me. There was a growl laced in that deep voice. A product of too much time spent in animal form. "Go on in female." I moved in and turned once I was standing inside. Szadist moved in after me and left the door open. He glanced at it then back at me with those eerie amber eyes. His eyes were that of his beast though unlike Lex, it was not due to birth but too much time spent in wolf form. He had begun to become his animal. Any longer and Szadist would be completely lost to his wolf. He looked out into the woods and then back at me. "Who came with you?" I shook my head. "No one." He didn't seem to believe that. "I would never hurt you." He looked back to me with those wolf eyes and moved forward. He was wearing a pair of baggy shorts that went past his knees and were frayed at the ends. Most likely they started out as pants but the bottoms got ripped off. He wore no shirt or shoes. But then he wasn't too partial for clothes. He stopped just inches from me and trailed a hand over my cheek. "They are stupid for thinking you need protection from me." I didn't say much and he moved away after I pressed my hand to his chest. I tried to get my bearings and spoke again.
L: Have you met with the pack yet?
S: No, no desire to.
Szadist spoke like that often. Short and to the point. Too much thinking was hard on his wolf's mind, just as too much talking. Wolves didn't talk so all my questions for him involved questions that he could answer shortly.
L: Do you think you would ever?
S: *shrugs* Maybe
L: Is there a mate in your life.
S: *He stopped a moment and looked at me with those wolf's eyes* Too bad. *he mumbled* That's none of your business.
He moved towards the door and I knew the interview was over. He looked back a me as if urging me to follow. I made sure I had everything and made my way back to my car. A long piercing howl called after me and I knew that in his place was a large black wolf.
