If only me ex would have just followed my lead.
*checks his calendar* But at least I get to fucking fuck again.
If it weren’t for the crocheted dog I’d have probably just thought she had a twin lol
I’m a little disturbed but also highly impressed
This woman has a power that should be feared
Didn’t realize what the title meant til i looked at the dog
It’s two different people!! There are two reflections in the glass behind them!!
You commented multiple variations of this, and I’m well and truly stunned that you seem to think the crochet version should have no reflection like some kind of knitted vampire. I’m at a total loss trying to make sense of your repeated insistence that having a reflection proves it’s actually another human. Do you know something we don’t? Should we be afraid?
@mautlin Those are two different ladies and two different dogs. The dogs fur marks are different and the ladies face types are different as well. It’s not the same lady. And if it really is the person who did the photoshop is truly amazing, look at how the arms touch in the middle. And look at the both of the dogs’ foreheads, the markings are different!
…what do you think this is supposed to be a photo of? The dogs have different fur because one dog is made out of yarn. The women have different faces because, again, one woman is made out of yarn. There is no photoshop involved, just a lot of yarn.

the current thing trad losers are losing their minds over is one singular dude on reddit that refurbished and hand painted a grandfather clock and they keep saying the guy “ruined its value” or “threw thousands out the window by vandalizing a precious heirloom” and let me just say as someone densely familiar with the world of antiques, there’s a 99% chance that this clock was a mass produced reproduction and there’s a 100% chance that clock is not as valuable as ppl think it is. when people hear the word ‘grandfather clock’ they’re always gonna assume you’re talking about something that was handmade in a woodshop by a jolly old man when rlly repros take up a waaay bigger slice of the market far more than any handcrafted items. and besides people will repaint or redecorate these ‘oh so sacred handcrafted items’ every day there’s a huge market for them. it’s the same reason why people like long furbies or dolls that have been customized to have like gore mouths or something. this is literally like watching a bunch of pretentious farts make a mountain out of a molehill. also the clock is kinda cool if I’m being honest
this is what’s got them so mad. like the dude didn’t destroy it or anything, just made it more interesting to look at. when I see this I don’t go “this man is a danger to society because he RUINED a precious antique” i just think to myself “huh that’s actually some very impressive work with patterns, getting all those intricate geometric shapes done with just paint must’ve been hard work and it looks cool and the colors really pop” but idk maybe that’s just because I’m not completely deranged
more clock pictures from the original post:
and the plain wood surface before painting:
Oh SHIT that is BREATHTAKING.
The original isn't handsome at all. The dude rightly perceived a beautiful blank canvas and a TREMENDOUS challenge and rose to it. I applaud him.
Also I want to know what kind of pet he has, I SEE THAT FOOD BOWL.

People always correct me when I say fishes even though I’m right
•Edit: I’ve been corrected, it’s actually fishies no matter the circumstances •
Douglas Adams is the best when it comes to describe characters
they need to teach classes on Douglas Adams analogies okay
“He leant tensely against the corridor wall and frowned like a man trying to unbend a corkscrew by telekinesis.”
“Stones, then rocks, then boulders which pranced past him like clumsy puppies, only much, much bigger, much, much harder and heavier, and almost infinitely more likely to kill you if they fell on you.”
“He gazed keenly into the distance and looked as if he would quite like the wind to blow his hair back dramatically at that point, but the wind was busy fooling around with some leaves a little way off.”
“It looked only partly like a spaceship with guidance fins, rocket engines and escape hatches and so on, and a great deal like a small upended Italian bistro.”
“If it was an emotion, it was a totally emotionless one. It was hatred, implacable hatred. It was cold, not like ice is cold, but like a wall is cold. It was impersonal, not as a randomly flung fist in a crowd is impersonal, but like a computer-issued parking summons is impersonal. And it was deadly - again, not like a bullet or a knife is deadly, but like a brick wall across a motorway is deadly.”
And, of course: “The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don’t.”
the one that will always stay with me is “Arthur Dent was grappling with his consciousness the way one grapples with a lost bar of soap in the bath,” i feel like that was the first time i really understood what you could do with words.
I will reblog this every time I see it because these are some of my favorite sentences in the English language.
Mark Knopfler has an extraordinary ability to make a Schechter Custom Stratocaster hoot and sing like angels on a Saturday night, exhausted from being good all week and needing a stiff drink, which is not strictly relevant at this point since the record hadn’t yet gotten to that bit, but there will be too much else going on when it does, and furthermore the chronicler does not intend to sit here with a track list and a stopwatch, so it seems best to mention it while things are still moving slowly.
“It’s unpleasantly like being drunk.“
“What’s so unpleasant about being drunk?”
“You ask a glass of water.”
A painstaking work !!
not to be a nerd but it’s so crazy how he (Bernini) really did that from cold hard stone……. truly a spectacle, truly breathtaking, an honor to behold
I think you should know he was 23 when he finished this and the ass gets a lot of attention but the hand on Persepina’s side/tummy is also exquisite
I think Americans need to understand how normal it is in other countries to have extremely limited hours of operation to ensure the sanity and health of workers are kept in tact. We are so accustomed and entitled to demanding people’s time that we forget that they’re… y’know… people
Being in Germany was really humbling because legit the GROCERY STORE would straight up close for almost 3 days because of how holidays would line up and the hours were already limited to literally be from 8-8 because people need to go home and live their own lives
It is very common for places in Spain to straight up shut down for 2-3 hours because people take siestas seriously since it gets hot and people deserve to take a nap
The world is not going to end if you’re inconvenienced by just… coming back later. We’ve been spoiled with immediacy and technology that we forget there was a point in time in human history where a person had to trek 20+ minutes down to the village bakery only to find it closed because of some family emergency and that just meant there would be no bread that day- and that’s okay!!
The discourse surrounding labor is so sad because we should not demand or expect things to be open 24/7 because we were not designed to be constantly moving machines. We need to relearn how to plan better since downtime is a wonderful opportunity to reflect and enjoy the moment. Not everything needs to be done with gusto and fervor. Sometimes it’s fine to pivot and just enjoy the moment for what it is and try again later. Touch more nature. Bask in the sun and rain. Breathe.
