I think people need to prepare themselves for the near-inevitability of heated rivalry’s second season facing a lot more criticism because no matter how well they do it, it won’t be a pleasant surprise anymore, people will have expectations now, people will have spent months imagining what they want to see and when it of course isn’t what they imagined, rejecting it as inferior to their imagination. And that’s before we get into the fact that haters will have had time to prepare their ground campaigns now that the hype train has slowed. There is a way to make every choice you don’t like something to morally grandstand about, couched in the language of progressivism, and this will most assuredly happen.
