Color Psychology | Mental Health Day 2020 Colors evoke emotions which impact our mood & mental state. Color therapy is known to help people heal. It is also evident from the fact that we feel relaxed looking at green grass & feel calm looking at blue water. Brands have been using this tool of certain hues to attract a given demographic. So why don't we also use this heck for ourselves! Well, it is important to know the psychology of colors to find the right fit for yourself - 💜 Purple is mixture of blue & red, hence adds a depth of mystery, opulence and prestige. 💙 Blue is a calming color which also indicates intelligence & creativity. Blue elicits a soothing feeling. 💚 Green might be the best color to help calm your nerves. It is associated with health, spiritual wellness & carries a healing power. 🧡 Orange is a fun, light color associated with healthy food, and it may stimulate your appetite. 💛 Yellow is similar to orange, since it is also a playful color. It is the brightest color to the human eye. No doubt sunshine makes people happy! ❤️ Red evokes powerful emotions & may lead people to feel more alert and agitated. 🖤 Black evokes melancholy but is also often associated with power. 🤍 White offers a sense of purity, innocence & peacefulness. As G.I. Joe says 'Knowing is Half the Battle' :) Here're some ideas you can implement - ✨Create a safe space - Add a nostalgic feeling from your childhood room colors by putting wall posters of your choice or things you believe in! ✨ Experience the calm - Try to have a space infused with some blue or green. Using this space for meditation will help you calm your nerves. You can also use this place for ideation or when you want to slow down in your fast paced life. ✨Feel the happiness - If you are feeling sad, focus on brighter colors such as yellow or orange. ✨Indulge in little joys - Spend time outdoors & stare at the green grass or bask in the sun. These are little happiness of life. Eventually, you will figure out YOUR colors and what emotions it stirs in you. P.S. These polaroids are inspired from @sharonestevensdesign Skillshare class.
