Hey btw if you donāt know how to program, you should check out [novelty], which is a free Visual Novel creation software. Absolutely no programming required, and itās super easy to use, I played with it some when I was a teen but the only reason I didnāt do much with it is cuz I made my story complicated and had like 5000 different branching routes that kept spawning new routes and made myself confused LMAO
But yeah, itās a WYSIWYG with a really straight-forward GUI, if I remember correctly.
It even comes with some free backgrounds and characters and stuff, and this is what it looks like:
Did I mention itās super duper free? It hasnāt been updated since 2010, but it has basically all youād need to make a simple visual novel.
Just make sure your DirectX runtime is updated, cuz it can act buggy if itās outdated, but this program is so old that I doubt itād even be an issue lol
holy shit
This is so cool? Can you imagine fanfic in this format?
who is she
i dont know thats why im asking
Here she is
Her name is Princess Tigerbelle.
Oh thank god we found her
Im begging you for help.Ā
This is my friend, heās only 17 years old, 18 this July. Heās funny and kind and generous. Heās very smart and talented, and really cares about his friends and for others. Hes trapped. Trapped in an abusive home and with abusive parents.Ā
Things have always been bad, threats to be beaten, actually being beaten, constant sexist and transphobic bullshit. Everyday, almost every hour. My friend doesnāt get a break.Heās told how ādisgustingā he looks, or how āunwantedā he is. Hes insulted for eating, for not eating. For how he dresses, how he talks, what he likes. If he ever found something he liked; drawing, writing, the computer, talking to friends, watching anime, it was taken away and insulted. He has no safe place, no support, no love. and today things got worseā¦..
His father has threatened to kill him
āHave you decided to die?? Then just go DIE?? Stop killing me everyday?? You better stay in the house and go to college and if you think you could run away with your friend and use their money or anything I wont be human, Iād cut you piece by piece.ā His father, his own father, is now threatening to āburyā him. Ā "why the hell do you walk around this house like youāre dead?? Is this how you behave in a house?? What have we done to you so bad that you act like this? Did we hit and beat you up? Do you even know what true suffering is??ā The answer is yes. They have hit him and beaten him up, many times. Yes he does know what suffering is, not only to be aĀ lgbt teenager in India in a unsupportive home. But also because abuse is as common as breathing for him.Ā
The last time I went to India the two of us tried to run away together and failed. We got caught. Im back in the states now trying to get a visa to return and I think they have turned off his wifi and blocked my number as of today. I have booked a ticket for July 4rd. His birthday. However I need your help. I need someone to talk to, to help me plan this out, to figure out what I should do. I need someone who can come with me to India, I need money, I need advice, he needs support.
Ive neverĀ met someone quite like him, he struggles everyday and despite it all, despite being told hes ābetter off deadā. Despite being called āworthlessā and a āpunishmentā, despite the insults and the abuse. He loves his family and is pushing through it all for a bright future. We have struggled together on our own for so long. Its been over a year of trying to escape. We cant do this alone anymore. Please dont let him die. Not because of his father, or this world.Ā
Help me show him people care, that someone out there loves him and wants to see him smile. Help me bring him to a safe place where he can recover. Please. I couldnāt live without him. Dont let his lifeā¦.or his hope slip away.Ā
Please. Save his life, save mine. His father has threatened twice to call the police on me and claims to āknow everything youāre planningā. He doesnāt but his assumptions are way too close for comfort. Im all alone here. Please anything you can do literally anything. Help me. Help him. We are just kids, the world shouldnāt be so cruel. Hes all I have, please help me to save him.
My square cash can be found here:
My email is [email protected]
Please im me or send me a ask.Ā
My Go fund me is here
Please im begging you.

The United States government is now systematically taking children as young as 53 weeks old away from their parents at the border, thanks to new directives issued by the Trump administration.

Musical Theatre Problem #49

Fun historical fact, there used to be more gay and lesbian content in early silent films until religious groups protested resulting in ādecency standards.ā
Always reblog LGBTQ historical stuff.
PSA: journalists arenāt supposed to put names in the headlines if the person isnāt a public figure. Itās not a matter of maliciously not giving credit
^^^as a journalist, this is something that bothers me ALL THE TIME
A friend of mine on Twitter explained this the other day, so to elaborate based on what she said: If the name is not instantly recognizable the way a public figure is, then putting the name in the headline isnāt going to bring about any sort of recognition or connection in the reader, and doesnāt do much to draw the reader into the story. But something like ālocal teenā does create a connection by tying the person into the community, and encourages the reader to learn more about what this local teen has done. The name will be in the article itself, after the headline has done its job at getting the reader to look into it.
Itās worth noting too that usually, according to the Inverted Pyramid writing style used for journalism where the most important information is shared first, the personās name is usually in the first sentence of the first paragraph.
Whenever I see someone get up at arms over a headline that says āLocal Teenā and the first comment is āSAY THEIR NAMEā Iām always like āhey, thanks for telling every journalist present that you donāt read articles and just skim headlines.ā Really makes us feel appreciated.
I think this Onion headline illustrates the point pretty well
When y'all fake conversations in your heads do you sometimes say random sentences out loud too? I was just tying my shoes and said very sternly and loudly āI DO know how ants work, fuckerā
this may be the most relatable thing Iāve ever read.

Donāt tell your daughter that when a boy is mean or rude to her itās because he has a crush on her. Donāt teach her that abuse is a sign of love.
My mom always taught me yell or fight back. Boys would be mean and I would yell back. I would get my ass pinched and I would smack them as hard as I could.
Who alway got in trouble? Me.
They would call my mother and she always came in and lectures my teachers and threatened to sue for making her miss work and treating me poorly.
She always taught my brothers to respect women. The only fights my brothers ever got in was defending women from someone else.
The school tried to call my father once instead of my mother on us. He came in in his full preacher outfit (being a preacher and all) and gave them an entire sermon on what would Jesus day of he was called in. They decided dealing with my mom was better.
I think my favorite story of this is when some kid snapped my bra and I turned around, didnāt even think about it, and punched that little motherfucker right in the nose.
So naturally, I end up in the principalās office, refusing to apologize.Ā
āHe shouldnāt have put his hands on me and I wouldnāt have hit him!ā Thatās the only thing I was saying.
These people had the unfortunate luck of catching my dad at home, instead of my mom. So he comes fucking sauntering in there, like heās Clint fucking Eastwood in some western movie and looks at me.Ā
āMelissa, did you punch him?āĀ
āYes.ā I said.Ā
āWhy?āĀ
āBecause he snapped my bra strap.āĀ
And he turns his squinty eyed glare to the principal and says,Ā āYouāre telling me my daughter is in trouble because that squirrely looking kid put his hands on her and she chose to defend herself? Thatās what you are saying to me.āĀ
āWell, sir-ā The man kind of stuttered because my dad is kind of intimidating in the quiet sort of way that kind of whispers in the back of your mind that this person could be dangerous. āMelissa did make it physical.āĀ
āNo. That kid put his hands on my daughter. Are you saying my daughter cannot defend herself when some boy decides to put hands on her? Is that what you are teaching my girl?āĀ
I didnāt get suspended that day. Ā
*slow clap for excellent parenting*
This is the parent I want to be omg
I went to a nun school.Ā
The nuns there were like, so rad.Ā
It was a party organized for the end of the school year, and I was helping in the kitchen to prepare stuff with a nun and a bunch of little girls. There was one of the girlsā little brother who was there.Ā
There was a little girl who was carrying a bowl of tomato sauce and was going outside, but the boy was just in front of her and he slammed the door in her face. She dropped the bowl on the floor and got all messy.Ā
So what happened?Ā
The nun went outside, took the boy by the arm, and gave him an epic speech going around the lines of:Ā āWould you treat the Virgin Mary like that, young man?āĀ āNnnnnoā¦āĀ āThen treat every girl like sheās the Virgin Mary.ā Not only the boy had to apologize to the little girl, but he also had to clean up and he was put on kitchen duty for the rest of the day.Ā
Then another day, in catechism class (I was a in a girlsā school, mind you), the nun was there telling us:Ā āIf a guy touches you in a way you donāt like, punch him in the face. Itās not a sin against charity. On the contrary, youāre being charitable by showing him heās sinning by impurity and youāll save him from going to hell.āĀ
So I was at my desk during class looking like this:Ā
Reblogging for awesome dads and kickass nuns.
āyouāre being charitable by showing him heās sinning by impurity and youāll save him from going to hell.ā
What a mood.
