Some fan fic ideas I’m hoping to work on in the near future once this reoccurring writer’s block finally bites the dust
- The Radio Demon? A Father?
A cannon divergence Hazbin Hotel AU where Alastor is ordered to kidnap the Princess of Hell. After learning about the neglect Charlie dealt with at home, Rosie felt sorry for the poor dear and decided to raise her as her own, so she sent Alastor to fetch the child. However, for whatever reason, Alastor decided he would be the one raising Charlie, and Rosie was far too intrigued (and proud) to deny him that request.
Charlie still grows up to be a Disney Princess in Hell, in fact even more so since her quirks and ambition are encouraged by Alastor and Rosie. She doesn’t have the same sense of duty to Hell since she doesn’t know she’s the Princess and the sole heir of the throne, but she knows she has some kind of large destiny, and she still feels a strong sense of justice.
She still opens the Hotel, but the focus is less on redeeming sinners to get them into heaven, and more on giving sinners who just want to live better lives a place to go to clean their lives up for their own sakes. Charlie doesn’t have nearly as much political ties to Heaven without being raised by Lucifer, so she’s not focused on working with them, but more on protecting those that she feels could live better lives if given the chance. People such as Angel Dust, the Hotel’s first resident. It’s still the same deal, living there rent free and with protection as long as he cleans up his act.
In short Charlie’s goal is less about getting Sinners into Heaven and more about making Hell a better place for those that don’t really deserve the whole eternal punishment thing. Which, she doesn’t believe anyone deserves the whole eternal punishment thing.
Husk and Nifty are part of her lives from the get go so they’re already working at the hotel once it opens but much more willingly because they’ve become fond of Charlie. She basically sees them as her aunt and uncle. Husk is protective of Charlie and has a tough love kind of relationship with her. Nifty looks up to Charlie despite being older than her and finds Charlie’s ambition and optimism inspiring.
Charlie is forbidden from going anywhere near Vox Tech, but when her new found girlfriend Vaggie starts working alongside her she encourages Charlie to step out of her ‘father’s’ control and try and get more attention drawn to the hotel anyways. Alastor is pissed, naturally. He very much does not like Vaggie, but she makes Charlie happy and is also fiercely protective of her so he accepts their relationship despite that.
Eventually Lucifer sees the hotel on the news, and the Overlord’s daughter talking about her ambitious project looks awfully like the child he lost so long ago.
- The Amazing Magical Circus
An Amazing Digital Circus Magical Girl AU inspired by Puella Magi Modika Magica.
Abigail, aka Pomni, is an accountant with a rather boring life. She makes up with this by thrill seeking alongside friends. Spelunking, exploring abandoned places, playing detective on random missing person’s cases, so on so forth. One day her and her friends step into an abandoned building, and then suddenly her friends start acting hostile, and things just get weirder from there. A terrible music from who knows where and a series of infinite rooms and doors is about to drive her to her breaking point as she runs from her friends that are also going through this. Just this strange occurrence is about to cause her demise, an arrow is shot through a shadowy figure, causing a horrid sound to have been shot at.
Jax, Ragatha, Gangle and Zooble are the magical problem that saved her.
Jax’s main weapon is a bow and arrow
Ragatha’s I’m debating between a baseball bat or ribbons
Kinger is an older Magical Person that introduces himself as their mentor. He is not a helpful. His weapon is a staff and he can conjure stuff like Green Lantern
Ribbit and Kaufmo are Jax’s friends outside of the whole Magica Girl thing. In timelines where they are Magical Girls, Ribbit’s weapon is a whip and Kaufmo’s is a comically large hammer
Pomni is constantly going back in time like Homura trying to save her friends. She fails every time. Her weapon is guns
Caine is Kyuobe! The little rat bastard evil cat cause I think that suits him. Don’t get me wrong I love Caine, Caine is amazing but he does fit this role. Probably will give him some kind of redemption ark.
I’ll refer to the process of turning into a witch as Abstraction
Queenie does abstract and it will hurt
Ribbit and Kaufmo always abstract if they become Magical Girls so Pomni tries to prevent that from happening for Jax’s sake
Ribbit abstracts because her wish is always something along the lines of either wishing for her family to leave her alone, in which case her parents are erased from existence or don’t remember her depending on how Caine decides to grant that wish, or she wishes for her family to understand her/see things from her perspective, which leads to her parents being forced to see through her eyes or being able to read her mind depending on how she phrases it
Kaufmo abstracts because he realizes that Magical Girls always die young, go missing, or in Kinger’s case lose their minds. So he tries to find a way out of the contract only to realize there isn’t one.
Queenie abstracts because… Well, you’ll just have to find that one out when I write the fic.
Throughout the story there’s a lot of ‘will they won’t they’ between Pomni and Ragatha and Pomni and Jax and very rarely in some timelines Ragatha and Jax. I’m not sure yet who will get together with who, if they’ll get together at all, or if they’ll form a poly relationship. Whatever the case Pomni will get her heart crushed a lot before any kind of closure happens 🙃
Catra, Scorpia, and Entrapta are roommates sharing an apartment. The apartment’s atmosphere is incredibly codependent and has a toxic version of the found family trope occurring. Eventually Scorpia and Entrapta leave for better lives, leaving Catra to have to clean up her own life or spend the rest of it alone.
Shadow Weaver was Catra and Adora’s foster mother who eventually adopted Adora because Adora was a gifted kid tm and then adopted Catra because Adora threatened to runaway whenever Shadow Weaver tried to send Catra back into the system. When Adora moves away without much warning other than an argument between her and Catra beforehand, Catra eventually realizes she’ll have to either get Adora back or move away as well or else she’ll become Shadow Weaver’s punching bag.
Scorpia was supposed to be the granddaughter of a well respected businessman. Her grandfather was hardworking and reliable, and good to his employees. The business wasn’t a tycoon by any means, as he wasn’t greedy enough to build a fortune, but her family lived comfortably enough… That was until her grandfather lost the company after betting it in a game of poker, and their lives were ruined because of it. Scorpia started working at a young age because of this, helping her father out with his small auto shop. She lived with her parents for most of her twenties, partly because the housing market was dreadful and partly because she felt her parents needed her. Eventually they kicked her out, however. ‘For her own good’ they told her, but she secretly suspects it had been more because of her flirting with a female customer that regularly visited the workshop. Her family is very right leaning and though she never outright came out, nor did she really have a label, Scorpia didn’t really keep it a secret that she wasn’t by any means straight.
Entrapta grew up in the middle of nowhere, alone for the most part. Her parents were always working and the nanny they hired to take care of her often just took care of her necessities and checked in now and then. Entrapta was very much a Phineas and Ferb kind of child, but without friends to share it with, a sibling to help her build her projects, or an older sibling trying to snitch on her. She was an only child, and she had no neighbours to befriend. Then she goes to University with a scholarship, and for the first two years she stays in the dorms, but then she gets kicked out of the dorms due to experiments and I mean, yeah. So she finds an apartment to live in during the rest of her college years.
Hordack is a cult member that gets Entrapta’s help with experiments for the cult after they work on a college project together. Catra tries to get Entrapta to stop spending so much time because her friendship with Hordack is wildly concerning. Entrapta eventually resorts to sneaking out of the apartment to spend time with Hordack and prevent confrontation with Catra.
- Also gotta finish those hero forges for the Shera Swap AU I was working on and maybe write that story too
