Divya loves her mom and follows wherever she goes. Jacob and Divya's friendship blossomed one way or another. Jacob was at her house, or Divya's was at his. Chapter 3

Over the years, Harry and Maya never left each other's side, every opportunity they were together. Harry had his bedrooms in their homes; he was always welcomed, no matter what. One thing that changed was that Harry stopped seeing Maya as just his best friend; he was completely in love with her, like the way the sun kissed the sunflowers and the way they glowed. Maya was the sun, and Harry was the sunflower; because in every moment he was with her, it was the only time he ever truly bloomed. The duo has had its moments over the years.

When they were 5 years old, Harry was staying with them in New York City during the Christmas holidays, and it was just Priya, Akash, and Maya with Harry. Akash and Maya's dad was more out than in their lives. The two weeks that Harry was there, he never wanted to leave Maya's side, just as much as she never left his side. They were two peas in a pod. Whenever Akash wanted to find his little sister, all he had to do was find Harry, and there she was. Harry remembered this time as his favorite time, a memory that he will forever keep. 

When they were 8 years old, it was the one summer that they could not spend time with Harry, and Priya called the Dursleys to let them know that there was a family emergency and could not come pick up Harry. She requested that Petunia speak to Harry to explain that they will not be coming that summer, including Maya. Harry was, of course, upset as they was the first summer without Maya, but he understood. Priya promised she would make it up to him. Now, after that phone call, she had to explain to Maya that they were not spending the summer with Harry. She knew this was going to be hard because one of the few things that Maya got from her Father, besides her dark brown eyes, was her temper. 

She explained to Maya as calmly as possible that they were not spending the summer with Harry, and they had to go to Melbourne for a family emergency. Maya argued that Harry could go with them, or she could stay back with Harry. Priya knew that she was not going to take it well, but she explained that Harry could not come, and it was only for 2 ½  months. Maya was not taking it well and was protesting it; essentially, she was throwing a temper tantrum. Maya had never caused this type of reaction before. She knew that Maya not seeing Harry for the summer was going to be bad, but she hoped that Maya would understand. Maya never saw Harry outside of the summer breaks, with the occasional winter breaks, but hoped that she would understand. Priya also explained that when she got the Hogwarts letter, she would spend her schooling with Harry, but Maya still did not understand. Maya soon calmed down and understood, but she was still bitter about not seeing Harry and would call Harry multiple times during the summer. 

When they were 11, Maya got her letter first from Hogwarts, and Priya sat both Harry and Maya down and explained that from the ages of 11 to 18, they would go study at Hogwarts. Priya also believed this was the time to explain what happened the night of October 31st, 2001, to Maya and Harry. Over the years, Priya explained in bits and parts to both of them, more importantly to Harry, to make him understand that his parents died protecting him. She also explained who killed his parents and who was his godfather, and how he was accused of ratting out his parents. She explained that over the years, under the table, she gathered evidence to free Sirius Black. At the right time, get him free of the chargers and hold the one responsible for ratting them out. Both of them listened intently, understanding, and Priya explained that at Hogwarts, one needs to be careful about whom to trust. Whatever happens at Hogwarts, they can contact her anytime, and she will come there in an instant.

Chapter 2

Priya Lakshmi Acharya kept to her promise about always being there for Harry. On November 2nd, she arrived in the morning at the Dursleys' to explain about Harry and the letter that was given to him. She also explained that she would be involved in his life to ensure that he is taken care of, but his primary home would be with them. She asked where his room is, which they showed the guest room, but Priya had a gut feeling this would not last long. She knew that if she protested anything, the Dursleys would ban her from seeing him, so for right now, she did not say anything.  From then on, she always came to visit with her kids and made sure that Harry was content and happy.

The next time she came to see Harry was Christmas; she arrived in London with her kids, as her main residence is in New York City, where her kids were born and raised. Her husband was not coming well; her ex-husband, as she had divorced early on in her pregnancy with Maya, even though he was her soulmate. She arrived in London on December 20th, as her son had finished school for Christmas on the 19th, and they were on the next flight out. Once arrived in London, she settled in and made her way to Surrey to visit Harry with her kids. She arrived and knocked on the door, and Vernon opened the door to see that the family had arrived.

“Hello Vernon, how are you doing?” Priya asked with as much politeness as she could muster.

“Hello Priya, I am doing well. Harry is getting fed right now and will be out shortly. We can all wait in the living room.” Vernon said as he opened the door for the family into the living room.   

“Thank you, Vernon, and where is Dudley?” Priya asked as she sat on the sofa and settled Akash next to her while holding Maya in her arms.

“Dudley is already fed and put for his nap,” Vernon replied while sitting down across from the family.

Petunia walks out with Harry in her hands and sees the family out in the living room. The second Harry enters the living room, he starts to fuss. It seemed as though he was trying to reach out for something or someone. At the same time, Maya began reacting the same way by fussing and reaching out for something or someone. Priya had an inkling of why this might be happening, but she wanted to confirm her suspicion. She handed Maya over to Akash as she requested that Petunia hand over Harry to her to try to calm him down. Petunia hands Harry over to Priya as she brings Harry closer to Maya. 

The moment that Harry and Maya came next to each other, they calmed down. This was the first time that they had met. At that moment, Priya knew that they were soulmates as they were next to each other. From then on, she would constantly visit Harry, bringing her kids with her, and soon enough, Harry and Maya became best friends, never leaving each other's side, especially at the start of the school year; it was hard to separate them.

Chapter 1

On the night of October 31st, 2001, Harry Potter was taken from Godric's Hollow by Sirius Black and was given to Hagrid, who had also received Black’s bike, where he had taken Harry to get checked out in St. Mungo’s. On the nightfall of November 1st, Hagrid had taken Harry from St. Mungo’s to go to Surrey. Once arrived at the Dursleys', Harry was handed over to Professor Dumbledore and was put on the front door of the Dursleys. On that same night, Professor Dumbledore was not alone in receiving Harry from Hagrid; he was with two other people, Professor McGonagall and Priya Lakshmi Acharya.

Professor McGonagall was there to watch the Dursleys all day before Harry arrived at the Dursleys. Priya Lakshmi Acharya found out what happened to Harry when Aurors had quickly left the Ministry, as she was in the lobby and asked what was happening. Priya works with all the Ministries, as her family is not a part of the Wizarding World but comes from a witch's family. Priya Lakshmi Acharya and her family are among the Authorities in all things supernatural. Her family has been the one looking after the witches' faction for centuries.

The Authorities is a group of families that take on different aspects of the supernatural world to make sure that one species does not step out of line and interfere with the human world. The way the governments handle the regulation of the human world, the Authorities do the same for the supernatural. The Acharya family has been overseeing the witches' aspect since the beginning, a tradition that dates back at least 3,000 years. The title is passed down from parent to child. In retrospect, if the mother joined, then the daughter and the said parent will always have a daughter. Maya would be next in line, but with the help of her brother, Akash Siddharth Anand. Akash and Maya have the same parents, but Akash took their Grandmothers maiden name instead of his mother's because on more than one occasion, Akash wanted to be separated from the family, but never hated his mother and his sister he adored the most in the world, their father, on the other hand, he despised especially what he has done to his sister.

Since the creation of the Wizarding schools, her family would make rounds to ensure things were always in order. They would ensure that witches of all kinds were identified and taken care of. Priya was at the British Ministry of Magic doing her rounds when she saw the Aurors running out, and she asked what was going on. She was informed that the Potters had been murdered, and it was done by the one who shall not be named, Voldemort, the person the Wizarding World was afraid of. The one person that Priya vowed to take down was the one thing she always hated: seeing families torn up and being afraid. It has been a few months, but she can still remember the looks on the Longbottoms' faces at St. Mungo’s after being tortured by Death Eaters because there was an absolute void; it was like looking into an abyss. 

Once she learned what had happened, she finished up her rounds and arrived at Surrey in the late night of November 1st, 2001. Being there to receive Harry, she would be involved in his life to make sure nothing happens to him. Also knowing that she has a daughter at the same age and a son who is just 9 years old. She wanted to make sure he was going to be ok. After hearing Professor McGonagall's assessment of this family, she knew it from the bottom of her heart. She was never going to let go of Harry and make sure he was going to be ok.

Time casts a spell on you

Sirius and Remus were celebrating Harry’s 1st birthday with James and Lily in the safe house at Godric’s Hollow, not knowing that a short few months later, things would change. In that moment, they were happy. James and Lily are behind Harry in his high chair, waiting to blow out his candles. Sirius and Remus are in front of them, taking polaroids to remember the bright moments in the dark.

but you won't forget me

On October 31st, 1981, that dreadful night, it happened all too fast. Remus was in the cottage that he and Sirius bought together, and hopefully, they would grow a family in it. He was in a rude awakening as Remus was sitting on his favorite chair by the fireplace, reading his favorite book, which on some quiet nights that Remus would read to Sirius as Sirius would sit by Remus’s feet and doze off to his voice while the fireplace crackled in the background.

I know I could have loved you

Remus got a letter from Dumbledore that James and Lily are dead, and Sirius was sent to Azkaban for being the reason that who should not be named came to the Potter household, as well as killing Peter Pettigrew on the streets. He was devastated. In that moment, he never felt truly alone. He let out an ear-piercing scream, he lost his best friend and his wife, as well as his other best friend, his other half has been taken to Azkaban for ratting out the Potters and killing Pettigrew.

But you would not let me

Years have passed since that dreadful night, and Remus has been alone, trying to go on with his life. In those years, he believed that Sirius had destroyed everything. Their lives were forever changed; at times, he wonders if nothing had happened and they had adopted children of their own, and been along with James and Lily. The questions that will forever remain unanswered, with an ache that will always be present as a constant reminder.

You know, you know where you are with

James has been home from Hogwarts for a year now, but something was holding him back; now he is ready to move on with his life. He made peace with the ache in his chest, but there was still something missing. He knows he left things abruptly with Regulus, but the second he got the Mark, everything that James knew had changed. He knows he needs to make it right. He was writing him a letter to make things better.

You know where you are with

Regulus is at home in his room, still dealing with how things were left with James. They have not spoken in a year. He believes there is nothing left, and how James reacted to the Mark. He knew what to do, hopefully bringing peace to the man he loves with his mind, body, and soul. He remembers the stolen moments in the halls of Hogwarts, thanking his lucky stars that they had met, that in his 17 years of living, James Fleamont Potter showed what true love was. 

Floor collapses, floating

Regulus was in the cave, knowing that this was it. Hopefully that James had received his letter. Regulus hoped that he would make it back and meet at the small cafe that James always talked about in Edinburgh, but he warned in the letter that if he did not make it back that he should move on, and he wished that under different circumstances that he was not tied down by his family name. 

Bouncing back

James was about to send the letter, and when he opened his window, he saw an owl come with a letter addressed to him. He recognized the handwriting anywhere; he opened the letter and read it. Regulus explained how he got the Mark to where to meet him in Edinburgh, and that there is a chance that he might not make it back, but it would be for the end of who should not be named, and Regulus signed it by the “the one who gave his beating heart a reason to beat for.”

And one day, I am gonna grow wings

They knew, they both knew it was not going their way. James felt it; his heart dropped in that moment. Regulus Arcturus Black was gone. He refused to believe that feeling, that sunken feeling. James went to that small cafe in Edinburgh in hopes that he still would come. James waited all day and the next day. Regulus Arcturus Black was not coming back.

When I lifted her urn

Dear Hermione, it has been 10 years since the Wizarding War ended and Harry Potter defeated Voldemort. It has also been 2 years since you passed. Our kids have been doing well. Rose is just like you; she loves it when I read to her, and sometimes I catch her in the library on her own, trying to read. Scorpius is the better version of me; he is trying to copy me with the same hairstyle when he gets ready in the morning. We miss you, My Beloved.

I know that nothing can be changed about you not being here, but it is hard, you know. Sometimes when I walk through the halls of the Manor, I can hear laughter, and there is a sliver of hope that when I turn the corner, I see you chasing the twins. In the morning, I turn to my side and I reach out to you, and you are not there. Your bedside is still the same, with your books and reading glasses, with the vase of flowers that you left. I make sure the flowers are still alive. 

I feel when I question, my skin starts to burn

Sometimes I hear your voice in the library, mumbling to yourself as you read your books. I hear it in the kitchen when you're cooking and humming your favorite songs while the radio is playing in the background. Other times, I hear while I am reading Muggle books to make sure the kids know the other side of their family, and you are over my shoulder, explaining in-depth the topics in the books.

Why does my skin start to burn?

There is a hollow ache in my chest when I am doing the laundry and your clothes are not there. In the morning, when I am getting ready and your toothbrush remains dry on your side of the sink, or when I am laying out my clothes for the morning and your clothes are not next to mine. I miss you more than ever, but we are the Sun and the Moon; we are always reaching for each other, but never together, but the Sun always shines on the Moon. You, My Beloved, are the Sun because from the day that I met you properly, I, Draco Malfoy, forever became the Moon as you became the eternal light of my life.
