absolutely hate it when the pleasurable activity procrastination hits. i’m going to do something fun that brings me joy but not yet. yeah, not yet. not yet. maybe i shouldn’t do it at all, it’s not that fun
Me: man I wish I knew more of my neighbors better
My nine-year-old neighbor: *crashes mom’s car into my yard*
Me: Be careful what you wish for I suppose
Honestly my first draft of this post said “my neighbor’s son” and then I was like wait a second that’s functionally the same as saying “my cousin’s sister.” That’s still my cousin and that’s still my neighbor.
Stop saying Calvin and Hobbes it’s important to me that Calvin is six and not nine.
I take it the nine-year-old was literally driving the vehicle?
The nine-year-old was literally driving the vehicle after knocking the gear shift into Drive apparently by accident. Seven- and five-year-olds in the backseat. Nine-year-old knows in movies people stomp down on the thing on the floor and the car stops. He stomps. It is the gas.
It's fun when you get a certain Feeling about an artist's style, and are immediately able to confirm it by scrolling back through their archive and watching their work transform by tiny increments into Homestuck.

Homestuck the Genghis Khan of webcomics
I wouldn't say it's quite so ubiquitous as that. There are a lot of cases where you'll go chasing down a Vibe and the root ends up being Invader Zim instead, which can be a bit surprising when, according to the age in the artist's bio, they were not yet born when Invader Zim debuted!
Can’t wait to not sleep at all on September 11th
i know ur from the uk(?) but reading this as an american is really really funny
why 😭 it’s about twenty one pilots???? Their new album is out sep 12th????
THERE'S TWENTY ONE THIS TIME???
Sometimes you hear a song and a fic pops into your head full formed. This is a trap. The fic may be fully formed in your brain, but you still Have to write it down. This is an important step that most people forget about.
I wish I could have heard you sing this… I bet you have a beautiful voice
“umm but we have to change his canon characterization to make him more palatable” he’s unpalatable TO YOU. im eating him
I love vague labels that make people go "but that's confusing" or "but that could mean anything" Good. Keep guessing lol
"Queer doesn't actually tell me anything" who says I wanted to tell you anything. Who even are you.
real exchange i overheard between two of my bosses. ????

in my most recent game of team defense fort 2 i was banned from a 24/7 hightower pony rp server for screaming ‘incoming gamer!’ into my mic every time i respawned or charged as demoman. and i have to say, nothing really prepares you for the sensation of hearing a grown man say with no hint of irony in his voice, ‘mr sex goblin, if you dont stop saying that im banning you from ponyville forever’
Mister sex goblin… if you don’t stop saying that, I’m going to have to ban you from Ponyville.
Permanently.
Incoming… gamer.
I wake up to this every morning
that’s the west wall. but if I turn my head to the east wall, I see this
Absolutely bonkers that I'm now one of those weirdos you hear about on Twitter
I committed to the bit so hard that I also committed misdemeanor impersonation of a government official
Okay, I am really obsessed with this joke. I literally reblog it every time I see it.
Years ago back when I worked in cubicle land, we were hiring junior software developers. They didn’t have to have a ton of experience, just a willingness to learn, and some demonstration of their software skills. Like: show me a program you wrote (any language) or a web site you designed. Anything.
And there was this one guy I talked with who seemed super sharp, but had virtually zero experience writing software. When it came time to do the show-n-tell part of the interview he whips out his laptop, brings up a website, and spins it around to show me what he made.
A website of tiny ceramic frogs.
Not for sale. Just… all these ceramic frogs, organized into categories. Frogs on bicycles, frogs with hats, frogs sitting on lily pads. It was a virtual museum of ceramic frogs in web form.
I scrolled through his online collection of frogs, slightly baffled.
“This is your website?” I asked finally.
“Yep!”
“You coded this yourself?” I popped into view-source mode and poked around some incredibly well-formatted, well-commented html. I nodded slowly. This guy was meticulous.
“Yep!”
“So… where’d all the frogs come from?”
“I made those too,” he says, beaming.
And while I’m processing this he rummages in his bag and pulls out a little ceramic frog working at a computer terminal. He places it on the table before us, next to the laptop.
“And THIS one,” he says, “I made for you! As a thank you for the interview.”
It was adorable. I hired him on the spot. I mean, why not? Worst case he’d wash out in 90 days and we’d hire somebody else. He turned out to be one of the best developers on our team.
And yes, his cubicle was loaded with ceramic frogs.
