The Idol Files - WIP - LawLight w/ past BeyondLaw
An AU in which the Kira investigation does not exist, and Light is not Kira. This fic is currently planned to be extremely long, with the actual chapter count undetermined.
There have been a series of kidnappings of famous idols in Tokyo, and with the media in uproar and the culprit untraceable, L takes on the case.
Light Yagami's ex-girlfriend Misa Amane is among the kidnapped and after some convincing, Soichiro joins the case to help find her. After further information is unearthed, L decides to speak to Light for the first time and as his suspicions on him grow, he invites him to join the case.
As much as he was suspicious of Light, it was clear he was not the kidnapper. After revisiting the culprit's original public broadcast announcing the victims' safety, he has a rather unsettling feeling about who could be behind all of this.
Despite his number one suspect being completely separate from Light, he is hiding something major from the Task Force, and that has been clear to L from the start. What wasn't clear to L from the start was how damn attractive Light was when he would discuss his theories. Will L uncover what Light has been hiding? Will they locate the culprit as he continuously feeds L clues?
The Mentor Diaries - WIP - LawLight - No Death Note AU
L focused character study focusing on his mental health, his childhood, his relationship with the orphans and orphanage, and his relationship with Light.
This fic will contain themes of eating disorders, suicide, grief, and depression.
After some convincing from Watari, L goes back to Winchester and takes up residence back home at Wammy's House. This was no ordinary visit; he was here to choose his successor.
L becomes a temporary mentor to Near, Mello, and Matt, whilst trying to combat his mental health issues. On top of that, Watari had hired a new teacher by the name of Light Yagami, and it was safe to say that they had an instant distaste for each other. Who will he pick to become his successor? How will his relationships develop?
