[4 hours ago [I typed this up to respond to an Arnold Schwarzenegger reel on Facebook [but I realized that it would be better to post here on Tumblr instead.]]]

I just literally had an argument with my dad on Arnold Schwarzenegger's height.

I actually took a second to look it up, Arnold was 6'2" in his prime, but is now 6'0.5" due to his current age (79M.)

My dad on the other hand, wouldn't accept it... and proceeded to tell me that he heard, somebody else tell him, that my dad was taller than Arnold. My dad is 5'10, hasn't shut up about it until five minutes ago [it was 11:50pm then] and we started the conversation at almost 10:17pm.

I only brought the information up, to answer the question of how tall Arnold is... and then move on.

My dad was more concerned about me not getting my information from multiple source materials, and comparing them. But got so hung up on me telling him that he was wrong... Sometimes I wonder if he's got unprocessed trauma, because I don't know anyone who still rages on a topic that happened 30 minutes ago.

[2:22am now, below are my additional thoughts.]

I swear I feel like I traded one set of management chains (aka my late mother,) for another (my dad.) Because he won't let me do the house how I want it, or listen to my decisions on the finances.

Mainly choosing the cheaper options, instead of the high quality stuff. Mentioning considering going to a farmers market, when those are expensive regardless of the quality and location!

He's constantly lecturing me on my health, but doesn't bother to follow financial decisions we've already talked about.

Yes, I know that it's important to stay healthy... But we don't have the budget to live like we're too good for the more affordable stuff.
