What can you achieve as a female lifter? There seem to be only 2 camps. The general public thinks a woman that touches a loaded barbell will
Posting this again because basically this is my bible
His article on training differences between women and men is also really good. A lot of the lifting advice typically found online is tailored to men, but optimising your training to take advantage of your female physiology (more volume, shorter rest times between sets, higher frequency per body part per week etc.) yields way better results in my experience.
It took me years of trial and error with my own training to basically reach the same conclusions he presents in this article.
Since my article on the natural muscular potential of women went viral with over twenty thousand s on alone, my inbox has been flooded with
That's very true and that's an excellent read as well!
Another thing I think is holding many women back too is not eating enough and getting scared if they notice their weight go up. Someone pointed out in the tags how the women in the photos are almost concerningly lean, which I don't disagree with but I'd like to point out that most of those photos are of fitness/bodybuilding competitors at their comp weight. That level of leanness is not maintained over long periods and competitors deliberately dehydrate themselves and cut their eating before comps to showcase muscle definition. Yes that is kinda crazy but that's the sport. It's not even really endorsing the comp physique as an "ideal" in my opinion. Most competitors are very open about it being an unsustainable and uncomfortable state.
My point is, those women have trained and eaten at a surplus to gain those muscles to begin with. You can't build that kinda muscle and look like those photos at the same time. That's the bulk/cut cycle. You need to eat to build muscle! And yes, that will mean you will gain fat and weight as well. That's a good thing! Too many women start working out at the gym and eating enough to satiate themselves, see their weight go up a few kg and immediately start dieting and doing cardio when they were just about to start getting some noticeable muscle and strength gain. And as a laywoman you absolutely don't ever need to cut to the point where these competitors go.
"Roar" and "Next Level" by Dr. Stacy T. Sims are cool books on muscle building and health for women. The first one is for pre-menopausal women and the second is for menopausal and post-menopausal women. If you're into fitness and wellness, she's worth checking out, because she's really into women-specific research and debunking health claims that get made based solely on research on male bodies.

How is it still so hard for people to accept that homosexuals are actually homosexual and that we can't just upgrade into the politically correct "hearts not parts" sexuality just because they decided that sex shouldn't matter? It's like they completely forgot why this community even exists.
I get that the majority of them are at best bisexual and can't actually relate to lesbians (and lesbians have always been a minority so it becomes very obvious why they suddenly forgot about us when there's a flood of non lesbians claiming that label and correcting us with their tumblr wisdom on what our community looked like and the history they never actually experienced) even then they just can't deal with us having boundaries and it's so weird.
They pretend to be progressive but act like every other creep who sees lesbians as a challenge because he thinks we're just playing hard to get. It's like they're trying to solve a riddle.
"ok fine you said lesbians aren't attracted to men but what about dick? Is that negotiable? What if I just told you I'm not a man and you pretend my dick is a strap? Can we meet somewhere in the middle? Come on you said no men and I just told you I'm not a man anymore, so where's the problem? What's wrong with you? Why do you hate me? Do you want me to die??"
"Ew are you attracted to genitals? Do you see people as walking genitals you freak?'
"Why is it so important if someone has a dick? What if you meet someone you like, would you reject them when you realize they have this really unimportant body part that you have some weird hangups over? Maybe you should work on that because that's not normal"
"nobody cares about your weird genital fetish, we don't need to know what you do in the bedroom, stop shoving it down our throats and keep it to yourself"
I'm genuinely concerned for young lesbians who will find online communities, read this manipulative homophobic bullshit and believe that there is something wrong with them for having boundaries and not being attracted to the opposite sex.
Happy Birthday, J.K. Rowling!

if youâre seriously asking âwhy are so many cis lesbians terfsâ then maybe take a moment and think about why women exclusively attracted to other women might object to the abrupt appearance of a new moral imperative to artificially fabricate attraction based on ideas of political righteousness and ideological purity, essentially a rebranding of the eternal hetero-patriarchal refusal to let women have the last word on their own expressions of sexuality, love and affection, forcing them to alienate themselves from their own instincts and essentially pushing them back into the closet even in lgbt+ spaces because to be honest about their sexuality will get them branded a bigot, up until the moment they absolutely have had enough so find community with likeminded women who arenât telling them to âunlearnâ and âexamineâ their unnatural dislike of male bodies, as if mainstream culture was ever supporting the beauty and joy of female love to the extent that it could possibly be an internalised mistake and not an authentic expression of desire
and then maybe find a mean terf lesbian u were mad at and go send an apology on anon??
Also, if you call every lesbian who doesnâ˛t want âgirldickâ a TERF, youâre setting up a tautology.
All lesbians will be TERFs in your eyes because being a lesbian is in the definition of TERF
