Did you know that today is #nationalsmoresday? I didn’t until @disneymamas reminded me, so it seemed like the perfect time to show you the snack I picked up at the Jurassic World Tribute Store in Universal Studios Orlando. It was a pretty classic s’more dipped in blue candy melt chocolate and decorated with the classic logo. As you can probably guess, in the Florida sun this becomes extremely messy as the chocolate melts, which will dye your hands blue. You have been warned. Did you know there is a way to get FREE food at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival? Pick up a festival passport when entering the park and flip to the last page. If you order each the dishes listed there (usually around 5 different dishes from different booths around the park) the Cast Members will stamp your passport for each snack you try. When you fill your passport with all 5 stamps you can redeem it for an extra exclusive snack for free! That is a great way to try some of the best items at the festival and get a little added value for your money. If you are a local passholder, or even if you are planning to visit multiple times during this year’s festival, keep in mind you don’t have to collect all your stamps in one day unless you want to. You can take your time over the course of the festival. This year features cheese dishes to coincide with the Ratatouille ride opening in October. I have been fairly impressed with all the ones we have tried. The German option in particular was one of my favorites last year. Well, we’ve had our final fruit loop shakes for the year and are ready for Food and Wine 2021 to open today! What are you most looking forward to trying at the festival? There is a reason I have about 3 chins now 😂 #treattuesday is catching up with me, but let me tell you, this cream cheese stuffed pretzel was totally worth it. I had been looking for them for a while, and I finally caught pretzel palooza outside of Rock N Rollercoaster open when we were at Hollywood Studios last week. Did I dress to match my drink? Yes, yes I did 😂 just specifically for this week’s #thirstythursday post. I really regretted not buying the violet lemonade ears when we were at the Flower and Garden Festival a couple of years ago, and luckily I managed to find a pair on Mercari just in time for this year’s festival, and I knew I had to make time to try the famous beverage for the first time when I wore them this week. Let me just say, it totally lived up to the hype and fully deserved its own outfit. I actually ordered violet syrup on Amazon while I was drinking it so that I could make it at home. Are you a sweet or salty person? Personally I love the combo of the two, so I had been looking forward to checking out this #treattuesday find for a while. The snacking sandwich cookie from Rosie’s All American Cafe at Hollywood Studios is available for under $5 and includes a very complimentary mix of sweet from its chocolate dip, marshmallow center, and shortbread cookie base and salty from the crushed pretzel and potato chip pieces. The cookies were a little stale in our particular sandwich, but I think that was likely because we grabbed it right at the end of the night. Other than that, it was a really wonderful snack that I highly recommend checking out. Are you excited for the opening of Velocicoaster? I couldn’t help but share a peek at our experience last night at Universal for the passholder previews for #velocicoaster. It was absolutely amazing and I am so excited for everyone who has reservations this week. It is one of the coolest experiences we have ever had at the parks. Have you tried the carrot cake cookie? I had heard so much about this week’s #treattuesday snack that we had to check it out while we were at Hollywood Studios. This may be one of the best value snacks available in my opinion. The enormous cookie sandwich was purchased for $3.99 at Trolly Car Cafe (the Hollywood Studios Starbucks location) and the kids and I easily split it. We all enjoyed it, but I think the cream cheese frosting was particularly popular with my son. The consistency is more like a sticky cake than a cookie, so it made quite a mess on my hand when I picked it up for the photo. I recommend using a fork for this one 🍴😆 My personal rating would be a 4.5 out of 5. Well worth trying, and we will probably get another in the future. Did you know that Butterbeer isn’t the only iconic drink at Universal? I was schooled by my son on the topic. He had been begging to try the Flaming Moe in the Springfield area of Studios so we finally made time to make it happen last week. The nonalcoholic drink is basically an extra citrusy flavored orange soda that is on tap at Moe’s tavern. It is poured over dry ice to produce a smoking bubbling effect that lasts for around 5 minutes.
