Some of you may know that I’ve been working on a novel, and I’m finally getting to the point where I’m preparing to self-publish it. Which is both incredibly exciting and mildly terrifying! 😂

One thing I really need to settle now is the title.

So I’ve narrowed it down to four final options, and I would LOVE some outside opinions.

The book is a New Adult speculative sci-fi with a romantic sub plot.

The question isn’t necessarily “which title do you think is objectively best?”

It’s:

Which one would make you pick up the book in a bookstore?

The Ones We Can't Touch: She can kill with a touch. He knows exactly what it cos

Gloves of Silk and Leather – Not every gift is a blessing

The Carnifex: Some gifts can kill.

Silk & Leather – The only person who understands her is the one she can't touch.

Listening to Led Zeppelin really sends you to some higher dimension. It’s like being high without being high, you know. Like you feel 5 times lighter and like you’re floating. Plant’s heavenly voice, Page’s insane solos, Bonham’s hypnotic rhythms and Jonesy’s synths/orchestra bits. Like fuckk are you kidding me it’s like. Goddamnn. Music genre is just called sex, if someone asks. 1. i used to loveeee Jumanji 2 to the point where i watched it to death

2. I used to want to be a marine biologist and that was only like 7 years ago (im 16 now) so its still a job im considering but my main dream job now is an animal conservationist or ecologist

3. 15 - mainly coz I was worried i'd miss out on having a fun teenage life like in the movies and that i wouldn't have truely memorable experinces (boy was i wrong)

4. I think it depends what defines popularity, coz im not one of the "popular girls" who follows all the trends and goes to parties and what not but im pretty well liked in my grade and im surrounded by alot of really nice people

childhood movie - 100% how to train your dragon omg i watched the movies and various series to death and i LOVED the books (i even started a dragon club at my school in which some people were dragons and others were riders and we alternated and trained each other when i was 8...)

dream career- for a few years i wanted to be a vet but then at like age 9 i decided i wanted to be an author 🥹 it's in the general field i'd love to work in now but i'm still not sure what i'll actually end up pursuing career-wise

age i've been the most afraid to turn - probably 18 but i remember being really scared for 16 because that was like 😭 serious... now i'm terrified for 20 oh my goodness

am/ was i popular - okay so i do online school rn (i left a year ago) but in school i was never really popular. i wasn't disliked at all but i only spoke to my friends and our group is/ was kind of thought of as weird (mostly because we had the highest concentration of lgtbq+ people and it's a christian school...). i was a lot more outgoing when i was younger though, somewhere during covid all my social skills evaporated (overall i'd say people thought i was nice and i was known because of my grades but i never really interacted much)

probably Beauty and the Beast. Belle was my favourite princess, and I have lovely memories of my mam singing tale as old as time to me, and crying my eyes out when the Beast got hurt ahahah

when I was little, I either wanted to be a nurse (like my gran) or a pilot in the RAF (like my grandad), but now I want to be fashion historian/journalist/designer, hoping to go and study history at uni in September

27! my brother is really worried i'll join the 27 club ahahah. On a more serious note, 50. I don't wanna get old, man!

idk man, it's changed a lot. my first primary school was dead small (20 kids in a class over 2 classes), so I was friends with everyone; we didn't have 'popular'. my second school i was bullied a lot and defintley known as the 'weird' kid, and at secondary up until I was 16 ish i was teased and stuff, i was also part of a friend group with a high lgbtq+ ratio, which british kids can't seem to understand lol. in sixth form i was popular, ppl matured a lot and i wore crazy outfits, and went to a lot of parties, but i've never been queen bitch or anything, and ppl have always found me odd, which i don't mind!

My favorite show was either Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Totally Spies, Powerpuff Girls, Braceface and Lizzie McGuire. I also liked Bonanza and MacGyver (hey, don't judge, it was a thing my dad and I watched together when we were still close). My favorite movie was either The Lion King (I even played The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride on VHS so many times the tape got ruined), The Hunchback of Notre Dame or Hercules.

I wanted to be a rockstar 🤣 it's not even close to what I ended up becoming. I'm educated as a child care and youth worker (I worked in kindergartens, elementary schools and high schools as a special ed assisting teacher), but ended up on disability and volunteering when I have good days.

I wasn't afraid to turn any ages, really. I've always seen aging as beauty, so I've embraced getting older.

Nope. I was, and still am, a loner.

An Astronaut first then a writer. Now I'm in Marketing and have a small secondary job as a guest lecturer at a university (also currently querrying a novel so we'll see about the writer👀)

not afraid but I'm really not looking forward to turning 30😩

hell no. Had a great group of friends but far far from popular - just going with the flow
