Iâm actually going to reblog a thing just because this is really important.
As someone who has epilepsy and used to have several grand mal seizures a day, Iâd also like to add that âoffer helpâ can range anywhere from keeping the person calm to explaining to them where they are and what they were doing to even just telling them they should sit and rest for a while longer (lack or coordination is common, and it can be hard to walk straight or see clearly).
Itâs okay for them to take up to a half hour to fully regain their bearings and sort out what they were doing prior to the seizure. Just answer any questions calmly and be there for support.
If they come around and you start to panic or shake them or ask them what the heck is wrong with them they are going to freak out and panic too.
I cannot stress it enough that this is bad.
If someone has a seizure and they come out of it, please. please stay calm. They are likely disoriented and confused, even if itâs only for a minute or two, and you donât want them panicking on top of that because they can have another seizure as a result.

My dad used to work for Vodafone and likes to tell a story about when he was working on a voicemail transcription service.
And there was a woman there who was some form of disability advocate (it was the 90s so her existence in the company was a minor miracle) and apparently she completely blew his mind on that project.
See, he'd imagined that this service was exclusively gonna be for deaf people. Obviously very useful for the very small number of people who couldn't hear their phone, but why would you even own a mobile phone if you couldn't hear?
But she described to him all the times he might want to read a message instead of listen to it. Maybe he was in a loud football crowd. Maybe there was important info that he needed to copy down that was spoken too fast. Maybe he was holding his sleeping newborn (me) and didn't want his phone to be loud and wake them up.
This doesn't feel as revolutionary as all that to those of us that have only ever known phones with the ability 'send text message', but given the timing and placement of this conversation I wonder if this woman and this project is *part of the reason text messaging exists*. The first text (SMS) message was sent by Vodafone UK in 1992 - where + when this conversation was happening - and then for a long time it was supported exclusively for 'messages from the carrier', and this project was an early potential extra use of the SMS protocol.
So Yeh, building for disability is kinda handy..

It doesnât even need to be big things either. I have Narcolepsy, and I think it would kick ass to have a Munchlax. I bet that little dude would be so excited to snuggle up and take a nap with me every time I have a sleep attack.

Build thought to be underpowered is actually OP? Heâs a crit stacker who was forced into an agility build bc a debuff from a superboss made him unable to equip armor, and some bosses counter his build pretty significantly.
Party full of waifus? He tries to solo most of the early content, the one friend request he gets is from a girl he barely notices exists (and whose help he explicitly turns down), his bunny npc party member canât keep up a human form for more than 5 minutes and he calls it out as trash game design, and his other two party members are a minmaxer and a player killer that he knows from other games.
âYou die in the game you die in real life?â Respawns are established as a thing in the first episode and the real stakes involve finding and completing unique content that 30 million active players havenât experienced.
This anime is everything Sword Art Online wishes it could be.
