I'm just guessing but
Finding Andy (Curry)
Danny zips around the massive dark aquarium with a net carefully snatching up all sorts of colourful marine life before going up and gently depositing them in smaller tanks that Sam prepared.
"You do realise this is extremely illegal, right?"
"Taking these poor endangered fish from their homes is extremely illegal. We're righting a wrong here Danny, and you still owe me one"
Danny sighs and goes back down but keeps talking.
"I just don't want to be accused of stealing again"
"Tucker got us covered, we'll be fine. You just keep fishing Danny, I think we're almost done. "
Danny carefully goes through the dark depths of the aquarium again and it's then that he sees a much bigger shape dart away from him.
Sam said this entire thing was filled with poached endangered marine wildlife so everything in it needs to be retrieved. Aka, Danny goes in pursuit.
It takes some doing but eventually Danny gets a hold of it and it's worryingly little girl shaped.
He holds the little girl in front of him and just kinda looks for a second at this squirmy child that can apparently breathe underwater.
"Sam! Sam, holy Fffffffuudge"
"What!? What??"
"There is a baby in the aquarium!" He holds up the squealing little red head who has apparently decided what's happening now is funny actually.
"A baby!?"
"In the aquarium!" He points down at the water.
"Why is there a baby in the aquarium!!?"
"How am I supposed to know?! Maybe these weirdos accidentally fished up one of Aquaman's people?"
"Oh my god, we need to bring her back!"
"How the ff-frick-" the little girl giggles and goes, "Fik!" Making Danny wince, "-are we supposed to do that, I don't know where Atlantis is at Sam"
"Call the justice league?"
"Didn't they disband again not too long ago?"
"... shit, you're right"
Danny rushes to cover the little girls ears while hissing, "language" and Sam slaps a hand over her mouth.
"Sorry..."
Danny floats in a circle above the water bouncing the child who seems fascinated with his glowing white hair, "Okay, okay, here's an idea. Jazz has her drivers license. We'll do an impromptu road trip to the east coast"
"... yeah, sounds good, let's go"
Sam holds the little girl as Danny stacks up all the tanks filled with fish and they quickly leave the premises.
"Can I just say I love you hair little miss, Naturally dark red? if only I was that lucky."
The now empty tank is surrounded by a gaggle of awkwardly shifting henchmen.
"So who is gonna tell the boss we lost the princess?"
So far the road trip has been incredibly educational.
The gang has learned what a one year old eats, and how to change diapers.
They've also learned that there are a bunch of crazies out there that want to steal a baby atlantean.
By now Jazz has fought a guy who called himself Black Manta in the new and improved Fenton exoskeleton. That battle involved a lot of lazers going in various directions.
"I thought Aquaman was an idiot to entrust her protection to a group of teenagers. But I'm starting to see his logic. You lot prepare yourselves, next time it won't be so easy"
And he'd been gone before they could correct his assumptions.
Then there was the swamp witch that Sam Out magicked with her own plant abilities.
"Curse you children, that royal blood will be mine!"
"Is she talking about me?"
"I really doubt it Tuck..."
Now they've finally reached the east coast and some big crustacean looking guy got sand guardianed by Tucker. Aka he's stuck up to his neck in the sand of the beach.
"You're only delaying the inevitable! Ocean master will have the child!"
The group just looks at him rather annoyed.
Great, that means some other asshole is going to show up any moment now.
The up side to it all is that the little girl seems to love all the action. It would have really sucked if they had to soothe a crying child every time a fight happened.
Meanwhile, Arthur and Mera track their daughter to the aquarium she was being held captive at.
Unfortunately, the Amity Park group are way too good at hiding their tracks, so the trail soon goes cold again.
So now that they have reached the east coast the next step would be to…
…
“Anyone any ideas about how we’re gonna find a legendary underwater city to bring the little girl back to her parents?” Sam asks while checking over the fish tanks in the back of their vehicle.
“This would have been so much easier if we could contact Aquaman directly somehow… do they have wifi underwater?” Tucker frowns at his PDA, “do they need social media down there?”
“Careful Tuck, I’ve read that Aquaman gets agitated at those kinds of questions,” Danny carefully lets the little girl play with the sand, making sure not to take his eyes off her after Jazz harshly told him to make sure to not let her eat any of it.
“Babies will put anything in their mouths Danny, be careful!”
Jazz reappears after locking the vehicle down, that thing isn’t going anywhere, not with the anti-ghost defenses active. they are also quite good against car robbers.
“So no brilliant ideas on how to get her back to her parents just yet?”
“It’s really annoying how we keep coming across or getting tracked down by weirdo’s and we still have no idea how to reach her parents…”
Jazz holds her hands out to Danny who hands the girl over to his sister.
“Okay, in that case-”Starts Sam, “we’ll just load all these fish onto the Manson family yacht that’s docked a little over there, and we focus on getting the fish home first.”
“Maybe a helpful atlantean will come to see what we’re doing and we can ask for directions.”
The group agrees to this plan of action and gets to work.
"Buba!" the girl's little nickname for him was cute, but mostly a call for immediate attention.
Danny made another ice ball. It was the only thing that was currently stopping the child from crying. She was ill, with something, likely a human thing too, but they didn't know what it was, and Frostbite hadn't been able to get them quick results, they had tried letting ehr slash around, keeping her diet well roudned.
but she was sick, and there was no getting around that.
so hey started shift, Jazz's singing lasted abotu an hour before she got fussy again, Sam and Tucker had, combined, lasted all fo twenty minutes.
Danny was still gong strong at three hours.
"Can't we just call the Justice League?" he muttered, watching their charge suck on the mini globe of ice.
________________________________________________ "My king, my queen!" "Aqualad, why did you call us?" "I believe we may have information on the whereabouts of the princess." that caught their attention.
"Where?" Mera hissed.
"Well, there is satalite footage of Black Manta fighting some-sort of exo-suit in this area of the east coast." he stood in fornt of a screen manned by Red-Robin, who was reveiwing footage while looking utterly exhausted,Authur didn't undersatnd how Bruce could work his childrne this hard, or place expectation on them that made them work this hard, but he wasn't one to judge. Aqualad continued" we managed to find a part of the footage where the vehicle is in veiw. Red's been tracking it-" "Somewhere on North Carolina's coast."
"...they are somewhere in North Carolina."
"thank you Red Robin." "no prob."
Perhaps Authur owed that boy some coffee beans again. Maybe from Columbia....
Danny was struggling how was this child so... feisty. He was honestly getting tired from the overuse of his powers, so far he had kept her preoccupied for 6 hours before she fell asleep. He's tried calling Dani but she was 'busy in Korea.' When he asked which Korea she only said 'there's more than one?-' before her line went dead. And now he's tired. He didn't even want to call Vlad. Dan was off doing 'something'.
"Are we there yet?" Danny said already regretting speaking. He was still healing from the recent fight against the Ocean man guy combined with his extended use of his powers and he was drained.
"We should go south!" Sam protested cradling the now sleeping atlantian in her arms. "Are you serious Gotham is just a few states away!" Tucker said on his new mobile phone after his PDA died on him again.
This was going on for three hours now after the Mason yacht was blown up. Jazz wasn't much help and the child's sickness was getting worse. Heck they didn't have the money to bring her to the hospital and what would they say? 'Hey we found Aquamans child and the child is sick and we don't know what to do?' Yeah not the best option.
"Ok!" Danny said breaking the tension and most likely a rib. "Ok we are all currently in... very deep horse dung right now but we can't fight like this. Yes there are people after us. Yes we aren't at Atlantis. Yes we aren't that good at taking care of kids but we can't just allow all of that to cloud our reasoning."
Sam and Tucker calming down just looked defeated. Out of all of them Danny somehow suffered the most damage from the most recent fight. And Danny as of most days like these was right. The air once filled anger seemed almost depressing.
Sighing Danny turns to Tucker. "What's the lastest news story?" Tucker closes the map and opens up the news app. "Let's see uh lot's of stories... Uh oh. oh crap-" "Language." Danny hissed. "Sorry, but the news about the Justice League disbandment pretty old news appearently also apparently temporary... And looks like our digital foot print wasn't very discreet." "What do you mean 'temporary'? "
-------------------------------
Arthur was at his wits end how was four teens and a baby that hard to locate? He knew that surface searching wasn't like under water searching, his people had no real jurisdiction on land. But the Justice League had all hands on deck for this thing. And they were still spread thin as it is.
"I went to the last place the 5 were seen." Aqualad said coming in exhausted. "The local residents testimonies should help with finding her. " "Put... put it on screen."
The data did not lie the 5 were heading towards Atlantis just they were constantly getting stopped by villains who were trying to get his daughter.
"The data suggests they're heading south." Red Robin says sipping on his latest cappuccino. "No, they are going north." Aquaman says flatly. "He's right the latest finding suggests-" Aqualad says pulling a photo on screen. "They tried just GOING to Atlantis. But there's a destroyed boat in their way." "Not the right time for jokes dude."
---------------------
"Dude what flight goes to Atlantis?" Danny asks "Malaysia flight 370 if I remember correctly. " Tucker said before Danny smacked him upside the head. "I saw the meme Tuc not funny people died."
"Alright, let's head to Metropolis that's Superman's territory he might be able to help. In order to do that we need to head north. I'll drive." Danny said taking the Drivers seat. "Danny do you even know how to drive?" Sam responded. "I had to learn to drive the FGHFRV this isn't much different."
"Danny said he knew how to drive..." Tucker moans as he uses his power over sand to get the mud off of him while helping Sam with subduing the people currently attacking them. "In his defense, the gigantic water hand out of the lake caught us all off guard..."
Jazz in her ecto suit is surrounded by the ones she's taken out, currently holding up the one in charge, "you better start taking or I'll keep swinging."
She's giving him her best 'I'm disappointed in you' face.
The guy himself however is looking like he's about to throw up any moment now. Probably from all the swinging around she's already done to him.
"I'm simply following orders..."
"That's not good enough." She holds him up a little higher and the guy starts scrabbling at her armor clad arm.
"They say- they said, the one who controls the princess controls the king and the one who controls the king... Its- listen, listen just- please put me down."
Parts of the lake are frozen and even though that makes for a strange sight overall the lake itself now seems deceptively peaceful. That's until about five other men get thrown out of the water and land painfully onto land after which a rather angry looking Danny wades through the water and gradually walks onto the shore. With of course a happily giggling little girl in on his arm.
Tucker turns to him and asks, "What took you so long?"
"She's great at hide and seek, and there was a lot of kicked up muck down there helping her out."
Sam grins, she remembers what a hassle it was to get her out of the aquarium in the first place, "She looks better." Sam notes.
"It might be that Aqualady over here just needs to be in water more..." Danny sheepishly runs a hand through his hair.
"That would explain why we initially found her in the aquarium." Their relaxed musing is interrupted by a shout.
"What are you doing! you traitor! Are you betraying your own kind and actually giving in to this land dweller's demands!?"
"I would like my insides to remain inside!"
The other rogue Atlantean gets up enough to throw some kind of crystal at Jazz. The others react instantly and jump to push her out of the way while she's still holding the other guy. In a flash of light all of them vanish.
"You stupid idiot, now the princess is gone too!"
"Well at least I-"
A sudden rustling is followed by a green bloodhound running out of the bushes, he sniffs the air before saying, "Oh c'mon, You have got to be kidding me..."
Next thing the rogue Atlanteans know several other titans emerge out of the bush, some more elegantly than others. Raven closes her eyes in concentration, "I sense traces of teleportation magic."
"Yeah they were here literally a second ago, the scent I was following just vanished." Gar keeps snuffling around over the ground until he's at the exact spot team Phantom just stood.
"Where are they," growls Tempest while Nightwing has a hand on his chest. Meanwhile Donna and Starfire lift the busted car out of the lake.
"I bet our lord is absolutely losing it by now isn't he," is the only sneering reply he gets though. Dick has to use a lot more force to keep Garth back and he looks over at Donna who is already running their way.
Roy mutters to Gar, "does he want to have his teeth kicked in orrr...?"
Gar shifts into a bear, shrugs, and makes a 'idunno' noise. He'll gladly help Garth with the kicking though.
"I can trace the magic, Tempest." Raven's hands start glowing. And Garth finally let's himself get pushed back by his teammates muttering a soft apology to them that's tinged with frustration.
Dick takes him aside, "Garth I don't want to do this, but if you can't keep your head cool-"
"No, I'm fine, just," he pinches the bridge of his nose, "they were so close, that's all, I'm..." a long exhale.
"Raven is tracing them, we'll know soon. Take a moment, we'll handle these idiots."
Sam glares at the rogue Atlantean (who is sweating bullets while sitting on the ground.) And bounces little Andrina in her arms.
Jazz is a little off to the side calling her parents "Hey mom, dad, uhm.. just wondering, how much pressure can the Fenton ecto-exo-skeleton handle? ... yeah- like water pressure... uhuh, oh okay, hm? Oh, no, just curious you know, no reason. Hmhm... Danny is with his friends right now so he can't come to the phone, sorry. I'll tell him to call you guys back later, yeah. Okay. Love you too bye."
She hangs up and walks to Danny who is busy freezing a layer of impenetrable ice outside of his ecto shield bubble. Right now the bubble is the only thing keeping them from drowning and getting crushed under an ungodly amount of water.
"Mom told me that their trip got extended, so I guess that's something we won't have to worry about for a while longer. You doing okay Danny?"
"Yeah, don't worry, I'm just thinking about how I'm gonna get you guys out of here safely..."
"Well, I'll be fine in the suit apparently, it's made so I can bust ghosts even down in the marina trench." She says mimicking their dad's enthusiasm.
"What."
"Let's not think about it too hard."
Danny pauses anyway and then says, "...Seas' haunted"
Jazz does a fake gasp, "The Flying Dutchman."
"I'll get you Davy Jones!"
Tucker is busy fiddling with his phone in the meantime, "Okay so I'm done trying to triangulate exactly where we are on my phone and... we are very, very deep."
"Yeah no kidding, I could have told you that... but where deep." Sam sets the little girl down who finds the nearest sandy puddle to splash in.
"That's harder to say..." Tucker's phone simply can't get a good signal from any satellite for that kind of stuff what with them being this deep, and he wouldn't be surprised if more magical stuff is messing things up as well. The little girl holds a handful of watery sea sand near Tucker and the water just quickly glides out of it leaving desert dry sand in her hands instead, she giggles.
"Maybe our new friend can shed some light?"
Their 'new friend' would much rather just stay ignored.
His eyes glide over the four teens, fully aware what they are capable of now.
Sea plants are already curling around Sam's ankles unprompted, a good chunk of Jazz's suit is still keeping her protected and he's seen how smoothly and quickly the rest of it can latch back on to her again. Water seems to recoil from Tucker as more and more bone dry sand surrounds him and the impromptu ice dome is handling incredible amounts of water pressure without so much as a groan or a creak.
Yeah he knows he's out of his league here, the princess is incredibly well protected, as expected from their king really. He should have known better, they all should've.
"We're somewhere between the city Tritonis and Xebel."
Suddenly Andy gets fussy and for a moment the guy thinks he's fucked up until Jazz picks the little girl up and takes a little pot of mashed fruit for babies out of her bag.
"So that's not really as helpful as you might think it is, appreciate the clear answers though, Go on," Sam urges. In the background Tucker goes, "so there are like a bunch of cities down here then?" to which Danny responds with a, "Not now Tuck."
"Uh, this was meant as a pick up point, get the princess and-" "No you misunderstand, what I meant-" "Sam I think he's been living his entire life underwater, he might not know the names we use for parts of the oceans." "…hrm, maybe a map would help, Tucker can you pull up a map on your phone?"
Before they can put that plan into action however the icy walls around them rumbles as something latches onto the it, a something that looks like a big mechanical manta ray. It starts drilling into the ice wall with what appears to be some kind of laser powered apparatus.
Now Danny probably could just reinforce his ice and just not let them through… However~
He grins, "guys, I think our new ride just arrived." The others of team Phantom also get a dangerous look in their eyes and the Atlantean guy knows enough to shuffle backwards until he's pressed on the other side of the dome in hopes of avoided most of what is about to come.
Rocky wakes up whole Grace isn’t around so Simon freaks the *fuck* out

Short DPXDC Prompts #468
Danny is a Chemistry teacher at Gotham Academy. His favorite student is Tim. He shocks the students by teaching and creating a Fear Antitoxin for the kids to learn as part of their curriculum.
What the reblogs showed me is that Danny is the equivalent of Larry (Amazing world of Gumball) for Gotham's educational system.
Danny who has really bad PTSD and Paranoia brought on by Vlad bugging his house. So when Danny and Jason move in together, and Jason insists on a security system, he gives Danny full control. He lets Danny pick where all the cameras go, and he links them up to Danny's phone so Danny can shut them off to feel safe if he needs to.
Everything goes fine for a while. Danny shuts the cameras down when hes having a bad day, but usually he leaves them and even seems less paranoid about them as time goes on.
But then, Danny finally convinces Jason to let them get a dog. Jason agreed so long as it was small to medium size, so of course that ment they brought home some sort of massive breed that Jason pretty sure is part wolf. Or demon. But Danny insists its a small dog, and won't grow any bigger than 36inches tall, and he looked so happy and in love with the dog that Jason just couldn't say no. At least it was well behaved-
-But after a week or so of having the dog, it started acting weird one morning. Standing the middle of the living room, they barked at the corner of the house repeatedly, not coming for food or water or to play. Finally, Danny checked out what they were looking at, and as he dug around and searched, his body started shaking in fear.
It was a camera. Not one of their, it was more high tech, smaller, and not at all where Danny placed them. Danny threw the camera on the ground, breaking it, before frantically tearing the house apart in search of more, the dog more than happy to help him search. Danny looked and relooked and checked for four hours before finally collapsing in the closet and having a panic attack.
When Jason came home to the house torn apart he freaked out and was relieved to find Danny in the closet with the dog. Though, he was worried that Danny was completely despondent and that his face was stained with tears.
When he finally got him to talk, and tell him about the cameras, Jason was pissed. He had a good idea who planted them, and he was so angry that they caused such a setback.
Jason took Danny and the dog to a hotel, watching with a tense jaw as Danny did a sweep of their room 6 times before laying on the bed and passing out.
Filled with righteous fury, Jason went back to the house, gathered up all the smashed cameras and drove straight to Wayne Manor. It was a shame, Jason hadn't been feeling the pit rage as strongly as of late, and now suddenly it was bubbling all up to a surface, and just when Jason was thinking of trying to reconnect and mabe introducing them to Danny. But now, now he kind of just wanted them all dead for setting Danny back in his healing.
Oh Jason screaming at them til his throat raw, hand twitching towards the hidden gun he forgot to leave behind in his anger.
He storms out without hearing them out, taking Danny away from Gotham for a impromptu road trip, no electronics, car completely checked right in front of Danny right before they leave.
Plot twist: It wasn't any of the Bats.
Now the entirety of Gotham's vigilantes are on the prowl for whoever tried this with one of their own.
It was Vlad. He finally found a way through Danny's security measures, he just had to use a Meta with density shifting instead of planting the bugs himself.
Vlad had been watching for ages and figured out one of Danny's triggers that caused him to turn all of their security systems off. He deliberately had Danny triggered, then set the Meta boy in there while they were out of the house. He'd told the kid some sob story about trying to get evidence of Danny being abused by his partner, so that they could get him away legally and safely and the other guy put in gaol, and the kids was more than happy to help - it's Gotham, this isn't an uncommon story told about them by outsiders.
Even more luckily for Vlad, Danny and Jason assumed that Jason's air-headed bimbo father had them installed, making the two boys leave the safety of Lady Gotham's city without any sort of electronic device or way to contact the outside world for help.
He has their safe house gassed with knock out gas and the two safely transported back to his castle with none the wiser.
And Danny doesn't kill. He always counted that as a weakness for Danny, a guarantee that he could continue to pressure him as long as he wanted.
Jason doesn't have this issue.
When Danny is fifteen, Dani destabilises.
They did their best to save her.
Their best wasn't enough.
After the grief comes the realisation that Danny is immortal. Oh, he will surely die a second time, but his future as a ghost is pretty much assured.
He will have to bury many more of his loved ones, and very few will follow him to the afterlife.
But some can.
Here is Danny's most well-kept secret: he knows what it takes to make a living being into a ghost at the moment of their death. He has never spoken a word of it to anyone, and he never will.
But it gives him the idea to ask his loved ones if they would follow him to his strange sort of afterlife in death.
(Well. Not all of his loved ones. He knows what his parents' answer would be.)
Tucker and Sam say yes.
They've followed him to the Ghost Zone before, and they see nothing wrong with making a permanent residence there when the time comes. They won't leave him to face eternity alone.
Jazz says no.
It devastates him, but Danny accepts it.
He has to. His method only works on the willing. He doesn't want to think he would force this on anyone, but he is also glad the option isn't there.
He deals with it.
They have decades to live together. Who cares if they don't have forever? His time with her will be no less precious for it.
Except they don't have decades together.
When Danny is on the cusp of his eighteenth birthday, he, his friends, his family and Vlad are caught up in the blast of an explosion. His world detonates around him and he survives it only because he was in Phantom form.
Danny buries his loved ones and the godfather he never wanted.
(Vlad had promised they were one and the same. That if anything, they would survive each other.
He was supposed to be the one that understood. The one that stayed.
Vlad was wrong, and Danny hates him for it.)
He goes after the GIW, who were responsible for the explosion, and makes them regret it. He doesn't go so far as to kill, he knows too well the price of death, but he makes sure they would find death preferable.
Then he waits.
It takes a week for Sam and Tucker's ghosts to form. When it does, Danny disables the portal and leaves Amity Park behind. He takes his best friends with him.
They go to Gotham City, where their obsessions can more easily be fulfilled and the ambient ectoplasm is ideal for newly-formed ghosts.
Sam and Tucker are different now.
It is harder to rein in their impulses. Danny does his best to remind them to be careful around humans.
He buys the three of them a mansion with Vlad's money. It's properly goth and outfitted with the latest technology. It's decently isolated so they don't have to pretend to be human out there.
His best friends are different.
But he marked them for death before tragedy happened and it had the unforeseen side effect of letting them retain more of their identity than any ghost he has previously encountered.
He is glad for it.
They bicker as much as ever.
And they worry for him.
Sam nags him into attending his classes at university, Tucker forces him to make living friends.
When he meets Tim Drake-Wayne and falls in love, they cheer him on.
If he wasn't already half-gone, that boy would be the death of him.
He makes Danny believe life is beautiful again.
But Tim is accident-prone. Every few weeks, he has some sort of injury. Sometimes they are extreme sports-related, sometimes they have to do with the infrequent kidnappings he and his family are subjected to.
Sometimes he is collateral in a rogue attack during one of his family galas.
(Why anyone still organises galas in Gotham is kind of beyond him.)
Sam and Tucker think Tim is hiding something, but they respect Danny's desire to wait and see. He has things to hide too, after all.
But he is starting to want forever with Tim and he does not know if he wants to wait until they trust each other to find out if that is something he can hope for.
So he asks him one quiet evening, where their hands are interlinked and their eyes fixed on the stars in the planetarium Tim bought them tickets to.
"Would you want to live forever if it meant you were no longer human?"
(Tim thinks about Ra's Al Ghul, who has lived centuries and become so twisted he cannot rightly be called human.)
Tim says no.
It hurts, but it is his choice. Danny accepts it.
A day later, he breaks up with him.
Better to save his cracked heart from further shattering.
Tucker philosophises, sitting on Danny's bed. He's been rotting in there for the past few days, skipping class to mope around instead.
"It's like asking your partner if they want kids one day but for half-ghosts, I guess. It's better to know immortality's a dealbreaker now than after you're married."
Sam nods, her glowing purple eyes soft with sympathy. She is floating on top of him, the tip of her combat boot intangibly passing through his elbow.
"You'll find your happily ever after, Danny. I'm sorry, I know you really liked him."
"I loved him," he mumbles, burrowing further into his sheets.
"And I'm sure he loved you too. Unfortunately, sometimes love isn't enough. You have the right to save your heart for someone you won't have to grieve. You've lost enough, Danny."
The halfa sighs.
"Maybe I don't have to grieve him, but I'm losing him anyway. It feels less like self-preservation and more like cowardice."
But he's made his choice, and now he has to live with it.

Unknown, the Wandering Hero
So! We all know the typical Vivisection AU, right? Danny is revealed to his parents and they take it in all the wrong ways. They capture him, Vivisect him, and eventually he manages to escape with the help of his friends.
But what about his Rouges?
Sure, we all like to think of some of the more friendly ones like Ember, or Sydney, or Johnny 13 and Kitty, but he has WAY more Evil Rouges than good ones.
Without Danny there to reign them in, the Rouges spread out across the world to fulfill their obsessions, unhampered by the Heroes and Villains of the world that have no means to fight them.
And Danny? He feels responsible. He was the one to open the Gate, he was the Sacrifice, the one to let them through. And when the going got tough he just up and left? No, that won't do.
His Obsession is Protection for a reason, and nothing has changed. All he needs to do is expand his area of focus a little.
Danny, after healing up, starts wandering the world in search of the Ghosts who have escaped into the Mortal Realm. He battles all of his old foes, as well as many new ones who he hadn't met before.
His travels take him far and wide.
He defeats Skulker in Metropolis, as he is trying to hunt down the Super Family for their pelts. They are the last of their race after all, so he is inclined to try and hunt them. Honestly dealing with Skulker was easy, dealing with the Rich Asshole who was funding him was a nightmare.
He chases down Spectra in Gotham as she tries to feed on the misery of an entire City. (Thanks to @impyssadobsessions for the idea, this Prompt specifically). She is actually a very tough fight, especially powered by both the Misery of an Entire City as well as his Own Misery, but he manages.
He defeats Technus is Central City, as he tries to Raid Star Labs for their advanced Tech. It actually took a while to beat him after he amped himself with all that Power, and he did need help from the Local Hero to deal with him. He's just thankful Technus is one of the more "Harmless" ones.
After every Victory, he sends them back to the Realms using the Banishing Spell that Sam taught him a while back (the only bit of magic he ever really managed to master).
He knows they'll eventually find their way back out, but it's all he can do anymore. It's his eternal Punishment for unleashing them out into the World in the first place. He was the Catalyst for this Situation, now he was tasked with Fixing it, no matter how long it took.
...
The Justice League is caught in a tricky situation a the moment.
In the past few months, they have been encountering more and more of these Extra Dimensional Beings known as Realms Ghosts across the World.
Justice League Dark has had some success in battling them, but even they are getting tired of having to deal with every single incident alone.
They did get approached by a Government Agency known as the Ghostly Investigation Ward that seemed to want to help, but it didn't take long to realize that their main Aim was to Genocide the entire Race. The JLA had quickly cut ties after realizing that, and took what little Tech and Information they had been able to gather.
Still, it wasn't easy to deal with these Entities.
Thankfully, they have had some outside help. An Unknown Being has been routinely showing up whenever a Realms Ghost appears and defeating them, before using a (as described by Constantine) "Rudimentary Banishing Spell held together by willpower and luck" to send them back to their home Dimension. There's honestly no way it should be functional, but he did make it work either way.
They don't know much about this Unknown, aside from the fact that he seems to be the only one able to consistently damage the Realms Ghosts. His Powerset leads them to belive he may be from the same Dimension, or at least drawing his power from the same Source, but as he actively avoids the League and takes every opportunity to not talk to them, they know they aren't getting any answers any time soon.
Over the past few months, they had affectionately started referring to him as Unknown, creative they know, because they could never get his Real Name. Sure, some of the Realms Ghosts seemed to recognize him, but they always called him stuff like "Whelp" and "Punk" and "Usurper", which were not very good names to use when referring to him. Although the last one was a bit concerning.
They had only managed to trade a few quick words with Unknown in the past few months, but it was enough to get the Gist of it. He was just doing his job, sending the Realms Ghosts back where they belonged. There was apparently a Tear in Reality letting them through, but he seemed hesitant to reveal what he knew about it.
After a few months of sparse interactions, they eventually managed to convince him to at least take an Emergency Communicator. Just in case. They even let him take it apart to look for any Tracking Devices, which earned them a small bit of trust. They took whatever wins they could.
Fortunately, it seemed he never did need it. In fact he was getting more and more efficient with every battle, defeating his foes in half the time it would have taken before.
Unfortunately, it didn't last forever. One day, the Communicator went off, a distorted voice quickly saying, "Need backup, some of them decide to Team Up" before cutting out.
They quickly rushed to his location, finding an active battlefield with no less that a dozen Ghosts battling Unknown. And he seemed to be on the ropes.
With their arrival, the combined force of the Justice League and Unknown eventually managed to defeat the Group of Ghosts. Justice League Dark volunteered to work on the Banishing Spells while the others cleaned up the damage from the Battle.
One of them approached Unknown to make sure he was ok, and froze.
During the battle, Unknown's Mask had been Torn off, and they could finally see the face of the Hero they had been working with for the past few months.
And he was a Child.
They learned more about him in the infirmary.
"I was a sacrifice." That one sentence froze them all as the young hero continued. "I thought it was an accident, that it was my fault I went into the portal. That I turned it on. It changed me, the rift, both life and death are possessive and neither wanted to let a linchpin go. So they share me, one foot on either side of the grave. I thought I hid it, hid the effects of the infinite realms until space fell onto my shoulders. I was wrong. They knew from the beginning. They knew that a sacrifice would be needed to open the portal. Knew that it changed me. They looked at the portal and decided their daughter was worth more than their son, their perfect little girl next to the failure, and offered me up. The scientist shot at me, targeted me, made me sit at their table whilst they talked about how they would rip me limb from limb, molecule by molecule. I thought it was fine, that they didn't know they were talking about me and I just had to show them the dead wasn't all bad. My mistake. They weren't best pleased I survived, any other wouldn't have after the weight of a dimension fell on their shoulders, but I had been conditioned from the womb. Accidentally conditioned, but conditioned none the less. They didn't take care and I had been ingesting and absorbing the essences of the realms since I first came to be and she recognised me. It's concerning when a dimension has more care for you than your own parents. That despite her desires she was willing to let life have some claim to me to prevent me from losing my mortal life. My parents watched through the cameras as I was changed by her embrace and returned as whole as she could make me. They thought me a nuisance but not a threat. Not until Pariah." The Unknown had stunned them all into silence as he went on, seemingly desperate to get this off his chest. Superman went to interrupt but Constantine shook his head. It was rare to get one of the realms residents to talk about their life, rarer still that they talk about their death. From the sound of it this was a baby ancient telling them their history, which was so rare it was practically unheard of. It was best not to interrupt. Let the child speak.
Unknown finished his story.
The heroes had a billion thoughts, and questions, but they just couldn't. Here was a child doing their best and they had failed him. So woefully, that he spoke like a battle hardened veteran. He just, he was so small. There were a few sniffles and a lot of silent tearworks as the child recounted their lore, their mythos.
Unknown told them everything. Nothing was sugar coated or hidden. He laid it all bare for them and many had emptied their stomachs. They were basically dry heaving at this point.
After everything, Unknown, looked at them all and thanked them. For helping him. Then he slumped forward and crashed. They quickly got him zeta'd to the Watch tower Medbay and started looking through everything he told them. While Unknown stayed in his coma, the entirety of the JLA went to war with the GIW and US government.
Due to the need to heal, it was determined to put Danny in a medically induced coma knee he showed signs of consciousness.
The war was no physical, in the sense that no blood was shed. However, it was the most brutal take down the media and the world had ever seen. The Fenton's and the agents were taken into custody. So we're Danny's sister, friends and people he interacted with. Once they were cleared, they were released.
After being tried, all the agents and the Dr's Fenton's were incarcerated....

That's as much as I've got.
Oh wow it really did do way better
I was cooking on twitter today
More. No married woman is safe
Hop Jon over (dp x dc)
"Hey mister, are you dead?" was the first thing Danny heard as he found his way back to consciousness. His body vehemently protested the move by alighting every single one of his nerve ending on fire and Danny groaned.
"Mister?"
Danny's ribs were killing him, or at least they felt like they were, and he would know. He cracked his eyes open to find a small boy crouching over him with his hands on his knees and his blue eyes wide in curiosity.
"Who-" Danny croaked.
"My name's Johnatan like grandpa, but everyone calls me Jon," the kid started babbling. "I live in Metropolis, do you know Metropolis? It's the biggest city in the world. My parents work there, they're reporters but now it's summer break so I'm with Grandma and Grandpa. You fell through the old barn from the sky. Are you an alien, like Superman?"
"Ugh," Danny said as he closed his eyes again.
"Mr. Alien, are you dead again now?"
"Yes," Danny said as he put his arm over his face, wishing he could just Not Exist.
"You're lying," the kid stated confidently. "Dead people don't talk."
"They do too," Danny mumbled as he raised his head off the floor to look at the kid properly.
"Do not!"
"Do too."
"I'm telling Grandma you're a liar," the kid sing-longed before bolting out of Danny's field of vision.
With a thud, Danny let his head fall back down. Welp, it wasn't like he was going anywhere, why not invite more people over to witness this absolute embarrassment.
Danny: Not a liar. Not an alien.
Jon: You said you were dead!
Danny: By some standards that's an accurate statement. Go ahead and check I don't have a pulse
Jon, who has already checked in his own Superson way: So? I don't know what kind of alien you are. Maybe your species normally don't have heartbeats!
Danny: Still not an alien,
Jon: Still a liar.
Danny: No I'm not.
Jon: The dead don't talk.
Danny: Yes they do. In fact, I've found they don't shut up. Loudmouths and chatterboxes, all of them.
Jon: If all dead people are loudmouths, and you are dead, doesn't that make you a loudmouth or chatterbox?
Danny: Talkin' to you, ain't I? Why am I talkin' to you? Who even are you, kid?
Jon: I'm Jon! I told you that earlier. Did you hit your head when you landed? You might have short term memory loss.
Danny: I do not have short term memory loss.
Jon: I'm not sure I should believe a lying liar who lies.
This is so freaking adorable I want to scream
Awww
Also they’ve known each other for maybe five minutes and they’re already acting like siblings. Clark is gonna have to ask Bruce if he can have ‘the guy’s’ number.
(Also this thought just popped in my head. But what if Clark is on league business right now and he literally just teased Bruce about his adoption habits. Then he comes to pick up Jon, meets Danny, and then has to sheepishly call Bruce)
Bruce already knows.
Jon told Kon. Kon texted Tim. Tim looked at the text and promptly told the whole fam at brunch with a casual "New Kent just dropped." Bruce had almost had an aneurysm thinking there was yet another Super clone out there.
Kid already has a Bat-made identity as Bruce is just waiting for Clark to actually ask before pushing the rest of the paperwork through. Bruce is going to make Clark ask. Turn about's fair play for Clark teasing Bruce for the children's tendency to spontaneously multiply.
New Kent just dropped indeed! Dropped from the sky. I love picturing Danny lying in his little rubble crater in a barn while this little kid pokes him with a stick. Metaphorically. Verbally. Because Jon has better manners than actually poking him with a stick.
Danny accidentally seeing Jason shirtless for the first time
Jason, angry and defensive: yeah i died and coroner left me some new scars for when i came back
Danny: at least you weren’t awake for yours
Jason: what??
Danny lifts his own shirt to show matching scars.
Jason, horrified: you weren’t even dead, why the—
Danny: well, no i was dead, technically, just also awake
Jason: im going to need more than that and also some names to pay a visit to
The thing is, bet Jason's scar is perfectly done, he was dead after all, the incision was clean and the wound closed after autopsy.
But when Jason saw Danny's scar, it was obvious he was moving on the table, the cut was not clean, you could see where the scalpel was moved from Danny struggling under the dissection table, the lines where like if a kid was learning how to draw a straight line without a ruler and the stiches were no better if Danny's scar looked like that.
Jason's corpse was treated and stitched by professionals who honored and prepared the dead for their funeral.
Danny's body was like a frog in science class, opened and stitched like a high schooler was playing surgeon.
Little Jason (5) is just another orphan in Gotham. To keep themselves entertained and to avoid thinking of their empty stomachs, he and his (not really) sister Jazz came up with a story about a fictional place called Amity Park, where a cool superhero named Phantom fights off hoards of ghosts to keep the peace.
Jason keeps inserting himself into the story as Danny's twin brother and places Jazz as their older, more experienced older sister.
Their story about Phantom doesn't become relevant until years later, when his Jazz was long gone and he is stuck in an exploding warehouse with his bitch of a mother.
(He is pretty sure he died too.)
(Would Bruce even miss him?)
Jason Todd (14) comes to in Amity Park just as Danny has his portal accident and stumbles across a second chance at having a family.
Jason Todd Is Bitten By A Spider After Joker Spills Waste Chemicals Into Gotham
Jason Todd is not an orphan yet, but it's almost as if he was. With his mother constantly high out of her mind and his father demanding that his son leaves alone to his business, Jason has no choice but to curl up and be sick in his bed by his lonesome.
Most importantly, he doesn't tell any of his parents about the huge spider that attacked him on his way back home.
From the moment he was bitten, the wound that was inflicted by the monster throbs persistently, and all Jason can do is mumble incoherently as he experiences the biggest trip of his short life, waking up and succumbing to sleep in turns as he navigates both nightmares and fever dreams alike.
Sometime during the night, he wakes up in the exact same spot as he was before, hungry as all hell and by some miracle, not covered in his own vomit. He gets on his feet and sways, feeling extraordinarily floaty as he makes his way to the kitchen.
Being so late, both Catherine and Willis are dead to the world. And so, with no one around to witness his crime, he begins to tear into what little leftovers they have left in their fridge, not stopping until the huge void that is his stomach is mostly satiated.
Without thinking much of it, he goes back to sleep.
When he wakes up again, his head is buzzing (giving him another migrane), and someone is yelling and smashing things in the living room.
Sudden clarity shakes the last of his sleepiness away - and then, horror strikes. Because that's Willis yelling and Catherine appeasing him.
She's not having much success.
There is no mystery about what they are arguing about. The grease in his fingers, the sauce smeared across his lips, the memory of raiding the now empty fridge - even after revisiting the hazy memories of last night, Jason cannot believe what he'd done in his sleep. However, he shows all the signs of having gone mad with hunger. Usually, only Willis is entitled to the biggest dinner in their house...
... and he'd gone and ate it up anyway.
Jason is out through the window before that thought is finished in his head. Just in time as well, because Willis is forcing the flimsy door to his bedroom open.
There's a moment of stillness where Jason and his father lock eyes for a split of second. And then Jason, who knows how his father gets when he's this mad at anyone, fucking bolts.
The fire escape holds his weight uneasily as he scurries his way down the metal staircase. But it's not fast enough. He knows - he hears the metal squeaking - Willis is flying down the flight of stairs as well, hot in his pursuit of his son. At this rate, Jason is going to get intercepted soon, because even if he's fast, Jason is still too little to keep up with a grown-up's strides, much less a tall adult.
Put simply, Jason is going to get caught, and then he's really going to get it.
Midst his panic, an odd instinct takes hold of him, and then, inexplicably, he slings himself off the staircase.
The fall is relatively long, and Jason has a split of second to wonder whether or not he's going to break both of his legs because of this stupid decision. But then he lands, whole and hearty, and Jason makes a wild dash out of the alley, all while he hears Willis and his mother yelling after him.
Eerily not out of breath despite all odds, Jason continues sprinting even after he can't see Willis anymore, managing to swerve out of the way of cars and people alike.
It's early in the morning, and people are beginning their day routine. There's traffic; people are going out to work even after Joker committed casual domestic terrorism yesterday. A chemical spill is rarely news nowadays, especially in Crime Alley.
The familiar sight is something innocuous that should have dropped his guard down. Still, something in his head continues screaming, and he cannot bring himself to stop. The honking of the cars, the people shouting in his wake, all the loud noises make him duck into less transited areas.
Jason is not too far gone to realize that this is a bad idea, so he forces himself to skid into a stop, gasping as tears begin to roll down his face. Because what had he been thinking?! He couldn't go back home now. Willis was just going to kill him!
Jason is a dumbass. The biggest idiot in town! This just proves it.
Screaming, Jason punches the brick wall - and puts a hole through it. Unbelievably, the hole is wide enough that he can see a couple gaping at him through the hole he'd just caused.
They scream, because of course they do. And Jason shrieks back at them in fright - because, holy fuck! He was not expecting that!
Jason is gone before the guy brings out his shotgun. He manages to contain his breakdown until he finds a nook he can cram himself in, and then he starts to curse and scream.
Precious Little Half-Life
There's no de-aging. Danny is genuinely eight the day he runs away from Amity Park. He's already had his accident and he's been in ghost fights with entities that are much stronger than him. Unlike what happens in the show, he doesn't always succeed in defending the town, leading to disasters that he couldn't have possibly prevent due to the huge power gap between his opponents and himself. Finally, the pressure builds up and he finds himself running away from his rogue gallery, the GIW and his parents.
He really feels bad for Jazz, since she's obviously going to be the only one truly missing him. Tucker and Sam lack the maturity to see past the rose-tinted glasses of his "superhero life".
Fuelled by his desperation, Danny makes the trip from Ohio to Bludhaven in one sitting, and he decides to crash in the outskirts of the city before he collapses. However, suddenly the city explodes, ending all plans of sanctuary on the spot.
Naturally, this revitalizes him and, terrified, he manages to run to Gotham next. The new city doesn't seem so nice once he's in it - it's dark and oppressive, its only saving grace is that its intact - but Danny has no more energy to spare. He goes into the first uninhabited building he sees and falls asleep instantly.
Next thing he knows, he's woken up by someone falling into the apartment, dangerously close to bleeding out from their throat.
With a whimper, Danny scrambles to save the stranger, after he asks him if he has a first aid kit somewhere in this place for him to use.
Jason’s throat felt like it had been branded with a hot poker. Blood ran freely against his fingers. Getting air without choking was… tricky.
God, he was so fucked.
From the start, Jason had known that the odds were not in his favor. That’s why it he had felt it necessary to stir the nest so damn much and sow chaos after Red Hood’s wake. He’d known that the Bat would have eventually caught onto what Jason was doing, so he’d staged the scene to optimize his chances of winning for himself the most important kill of all.
And he’d failed at it. Quite miserably, as well.
Batman’s betrayal was burned into his mind. Burned the same way the Joker’s laughter grinded against his ears every time his mind tried to recall The Warehouse and His Bitch Of A Mother.
Surprise, surprise! Bruce had chosen his killer over him. His so-called son. What a shocker!
Guess now he knew why his tombstone had the name Jason Todd engraved.
(Why the fuck was it Todd, Bruce? That was Willis’ name. He was meant to be Jason Wayne!)
Damn it, his chest hurt.
Everything hurt.
Jesus.
Every step he took was wobbly and unsteady, but Jason was reasonably certain that he’d managed to scurry away to the closest safehouse without anyone following. As much as he tried, he couldn’t remember if he’d equipped it with a first aid kit. Had he? His mind was caught in a fog and the answer avoided him like the plague.
Sticky fingers pried open the window after a handful of unsuccessful tries. In spite of the small victory, his foot was caught in the sill as he squeezed his large body through the threshold, making him tumble ungracefully to the ground.
Jason groaned. That hadn’t been a pretty fall. And now his face hurt and was wet with something that was undoubtedly blood.
Hahaha… It was funny. Tonight, he was painting the city red, but in a way he hadn’t anticipated until now.
“That’s a lot of blood!”
Taken aback, Jason jolted from his spot on the ground and coughed wetly.
A kid was inside his safehouse, looking down at him with shock. A boy, who seemed no older than six or seven.
Honestly, Jason wanted to shake his head in disbelief, unwilling to believe that he’d been weakened so much by blood loss that he had missed the pitter-patter of tiny feet.
The kid screamed and flapped his hands around in a panic. Even from Jason’s perspective, his face looked ashen, dirty and hollow-cheeked. The only thing that looked even the slightest bit alive about him was the manic look of his eyes.
“Towels! Towels! Oh man, I need something for the cut-”
Cut?
Jason blinked blearily.
Oh, Bruce had- Yeah, he’d hurt him. Badly.
(How come he had forgotten about that, again?)
Not important. If he needed help and the kid was the only thing between him and another visit to the home of their maker-
“Kitchen,” he managed to rasp out. “In- the kitchen- “
The kid nodded frantically.
“Be right back, mister. Don’t you dare die before I come back, please!”
Jason resisted the urge to laugh. The kid was a riot. Making demands and saying please in the same sentence.
What an adorable little tyke…
If I ever don’t reblog this, you can assume I’m dead. It’s just pure, sound-design gold.
The cuts, the slow ramp-ups, how it matches his dance moves.
MWAH.
